Love you two! The HEAT you were both bringing around 3:40 was so amazing and hilarious. Also THANKING YOU again for being able to see things from Simon's POV as well - he is most definitely getting beaten down and having to compromise so much of himself which he is doing because he loves and wants to be with Wille - but it's hard to see.
Disagree. August told Wilhelm the story because Wilhelm time and time again put Erik on a pedestal and portrayed him as the perfect person. And at some point August had enough and he gave Wilhelm a new perspective on his "perfect" brother. was it a bad timing - yes. was it neccessary? absolutely
@@miniadler Sure it may have been necessary to the narrative but August did that shit out of pure spite solely because he was mad Wille finally saw him as the piece of shit he was and not the elitist social figure he set himself up to be.
I can't wait until the until the next two episodes. I think Wille approaches his feelings different and they way he comes off saying things, is just a part of how he was raised. Simon was raised by a loving mother, even with his dad being how he is. Wille got two emotionally distant parents and in the past few episodes the only parenting he's gotten was from the Royal PR advisor. I would be amazed if he could communicate well.
I think one of the main reasons Wille is bad at communicating about his feelings and emotions is the fact that in the Royal Family you are not supposed to do that, you're supposed to supress your emotions and keep up appearances. None of them were even given the time to grieve, it was back to business immediately and Wille needing to be strong and take over for his brother and now mother while struggling with a crippling anxiety, that his parents aren't even aware of or choose to ignore. I think what August did to Simon and Wille was worse. The initiation was cruel, but it doesn't seem like they really went through with it it was more of a cruel joke, because if they did everyone in his year would know that Nils is gay and they don't.
The fact that August is so traumatized by his initiation and the irony of then filming two guys having sex, is so full circle in a way. If you remember season one, he keeps watching the video on his phone over and over again. It’s as if he is trying to cure or cope with his trauma… I find Simon and Wille’s communication not as good as you do. I feel like the entire time, Simon is trying to throw hints at Wille about the monarchy and his position as the crown prince but Wille’s not able to read between the lines. This season was so freaking wild. You couldn’t possibly imagine what is going to happen in the last to episodes. 🤯
Just from the standpoint of writing the story, it's clear that for Wille and Simon to have any chance of being together, Erik had to die a second time.
It was crucial for Wille to see that Erik wasn't perfect and also wasn't perfectly happy with his life and role (also Nils telling Wille in S2 that Erik was in therapy). Wille's parents idealize Erik and so Wille has always felt like he has to be like Erik to be worthy. And particularly after his death he felt he had to be his perfect replacement to honor his legacy. Realising that Erik was flawed and lost too helped Wille realise that he is better off staying true to himself instead of trying to be like Erik.
Wondering if Vincent's behaviour is partly due to his struggles with ADHD. Remember he supplied ADHD drugs to August in season one? It is like Vincent has to go on attack so people don't see his vulnerability. No excuse though - he is horrible 😊
Yes the politcal world is something totally different from the Royal family. The politicians are selected for a short time of period and tend to make short-term decisions that only extend to the next election. The royal house has no political power and stands for the culture and basic values that our country wants to represent in a long-term perspective.
Simon says that Wille should choose a theme that Wille is passionate about. But what he actually means is that Wille should choose themes that Simon is passionate about. And Simon immediately disqualifies all the themes on the list that Wille was given to choose from by the fund's board as "unimportant". Why not ask Wille first what he thinks, instead of starting to debate about other things? Totally unnecessary.
maybe because Wille has absolutely NOTHING that he is passionate about nor does he care to stand up for any cause that doesn’t benefit him. In the scene he literally says he will choose the sports theme because he “can’t be bothered” with the other choices. He doesn’t give two shts about sports or any other themes on that list. So Simon saw that and tried to build a connection for Wille to somewhat enjoy his royal duties by suggesting themes that relate to who Wille is as a person: a queer teen who struggles with mental health. This conversation was totally necessary to show how out of touch Wille can be compared to Simon and how that imbalance affects their relationship
@@rubyi2677 Willes dilemma is that he is not comfortable at all to expose himself public. But when he, as a crown prince, has to act in public he wants the situation to be as undramatic as possible. And he wants to avoid getting into conflicts. So he chooses the least controversial topic. As sports for example. Mental illnes and LGBTQ are too personal and important issues for him to expose to strangers. And risk being questioned and confronted. Simon, on the other hand, loves to stand on the barricades and discuss injustices. He is fearless and likes to handle conflicts and is good at it. They have different personalities and they have to understand each other, not having to be the same. Willes self-esteem will be strengthened but he needs to find himself first. So he defends himself from his inner feelings in this discussion and wants it to be over. Very good acted. When Wille is more mature I am sure he will be able to stand up for himself and find his passion, what he wants to do. But I think he still will dislike to expose that in public. Willes and Simons personalities are different but still they can share their same values in private and with close friends.
Not defending Vincent! He's an ass. But didn't they clarify he has ADHD or something in the first season? It's unclear because he does speak avoti changing doctors or something, but he does at least seem to have a diagnosis, cause he's giving some of his pills to August right? But he'll be fine because he's rich so yeah. I just love how they show everyone's complexity in the show. Thanks so much for your reactions!! Love them!! Can't wait for more! Maybe original Skam? Has similar vibes!

i'm so glad you're enjoying the reactions! the heat was needed in that moment for sure, lol!
yes yes and yes to all the stuff said about simon!
Omar revealed that they actually filmed a scene of Wille & Simon sharing the lollipop in front of Henry, but it got cut 🤣🤣
oh man, we would have liked to see that 🤣🤣
You're right Hunter, August only told Wille about Erik to hurt him, not because he genuinely thought he "had to know."

mmm very good point! (that and wille is a child 🤣)

woah! i didn't think about how full circle that is. such a good connection!
I love at 28:33. You both said I’m so sorry. I started laughing and I don’t know why. I love your videos ❤❤
This ending had me SHOOK when I watched it for the first time
literally!!

@67Second @gerganakantcheva8176 y'all are over here writing poetry with these lines. i love it

Now, I know you have a schedule for your videos but do we really have to wait two weeks for the last two episodes? (whine...)
hehehehe

@rubyi2677 @birgittae9046 both of these are very good points, even though they are both from a different perspective

i think they mentioned he has ADHD, yea! this definitely gives another meaning to 'complex characters' for sure 🤣
thanks for the support!!
