The fact that you both immediately start talking about yourselves and your relationship shows the levels Young Royals has reached. It's so nice to see. What I especially liked was how attached everyone was. Fans, creators, and actors constantly cried together. Especially at the public finale, it was overwhelming. That was very unifying.
Absolutely, it really felt like they were a family and many of them became really good friends and still are. I’m sure that’s also one of the reasons why the show was so successful
Every season took 3 months to film: they filmed S1 from September 15th to December 15th 2020, S2 from February 10th to May 10th 2022 and S3 from March 27th to June 27th 2023.
Thank you for watching the documentary. It really shows how amazing the entire cast, and crew worked together. It’s their closeness and trust that came through to produce such a believable show. It feels like these characters live in the real World which is so special. Many of these folk’s developed true and lasting friendships. I’m going to miss Young Royals. Now we wait for S3 of Heartstopper. 💜
So true. A lot of the scenes would have turned out differently if the cast hadn't had such a close bond. The joy they had working together on Young Royals came through. We are super excited for Heartstopper S3 🙌 Thanks for watching 🫶
Malte was an actor before Young royals, he was in a show called Gåsmamman with Edvin. It was Omar's first full acting job but he has been a famous singer in Sweden since he was 14 yo and Edvin has been acting since he was 5 yo.
You should really check out the Norwegian series "SKAM"! If you loved "Young Royals", you're going to love SKAM too. I'm sure of it! It has the same feeling of realness, and most of the actors are the age they play, it's so funny and genuine, and has so many interesting characters, relationships, storylines, lovestories. It's not something you want to miss! Some people will tell you to just watch season 3, which is amazing with is love story between two guys, but _all_ of the seasons are great, and watching it from the start, makes you understand the characters in season 3 better.
Fun fact: Edvin (Wilhelm) and Fabian’s (Henry) birthdays are actually only 2 days apart, with Edvin being born 4th Feb 2003 and Fabian on the 6th Feb 2003.
I know you're in the fashion industry, but I think it's so funny whenever you point out designer clothes and accessories. That's something I'd never notice. lol Panos, your covid hair was amazing! How hard was it to properly take care of it? Of course, we all love this show, the characters, and the actors playing the characters, but it really brings it to another level when you find out that they've become such good friends in real life. Omar and Edvin have both hinted that they may have another project together coming up. It'll be interesting to see if they're a couple in that. Who knows, maybe they'll be bitter enemies, just to shake things up. Either way, it'll be nice to see them together again.
Haha, we don't see them all, but some stand out, and the bags they used in season 3 were quite literally in our faces 🤣 I kind of miss my long hair, but maintaining it was a lot of work, so it's ok. Might regrow it for 2025. Stay tuned. It's always great to see when a cast becomes more than just colleagues. Let's see what the boys come up with and if they end up being enemies. It would be pretty cool and ironic. Thanks for watching 🫶
Thank you so much for this rollercoaster ride and for taking time to do the documentary as well💜! This show has so many dephts and brilliant cast and crew behind it. Netty Nordic also has a lot more of interesting content from these 3 seasons. Love from Sweden🫶🏼
I liked your long hair Pantos 😍. Thanks for watching the documentary. Yes Malte is a musician just like Omar. Edvin hangs out alot with Samuel and Fabian in real life and Edvin’s girlfriend is Felicia who plays Stella in the show. Felicia is also one of Omar’s best friend who was the one who introduced him to Young Royals. Edvin is also friend with Omar but they don’t post alot together when they hang out due to the rumours about them beeing lovers. Felicia and Edvin has a new movie coming out on Netflix may 31 th where they play against Zara Larson. It looks real good!
Hi, I just finished watching your YR reactions and I really liked them and you 😊; thank you for reacting to this special as well. I always love the behind the scenes stuff, it makes the show or movie much more meaningful. I saw a video of an interview from after season 1 premiered with the creators and Edvin and its so awesome!!, you should watch it (for yourselves) if you're interested, i really think you'll like it. I only found it uploaded by a fan account, i think, not the official page for the event. The name of the video is "Full Young Royals Aarhus Series Live Stream w Edvin Ryding, Rojda Sekersöz & Lisa Ambjörn 27/10/21" and the RUclips channel name is "beca". I'm looking forward to watching more of your videos.
18:17 they did have an intimacy coordinator! Sara was the IC for the first two seasons and then in season three they had a different one ruclips.net/video/1oCRfUaAsTw/видео.htmlsi=liLG3kYMJU8I5t9m
To my understanding, they film lots of the scenes sort of chronologically, but some scenes are just filmed in massive clumps. For example, any of the scenes filmed at the Erikssons’ house were all filmed in one go so they could save money, same with Micke’s flat and likely the palace, but other scenes they didn’t need to film as out of order, so they seemed to do those more chronologically.
The table read and behind the scenes were so cute. And you're right mentioning 'Charmed' - it seems some productions really can have a good atmosphere or a bad atmosphere. Young Royals seemed to have an awesome atmosphere between all actors. ETA: Why were you surprised that some actors speak multiple languages - in the Nordics most of us speak Finnish and/or Swedish, English, Spanish etc. interchangeably😆 I think you guys speak German, English etc. as well?
We were surprised to hear Nathalie Varli speak Swedish for the first time, and it took us by surprise 😮 We both speak German and English, and Panos speaks Greek, yes 😝 Thanks for watching 🫶
🙏🏼❤️Thank you!! I really enjoyed your reactions. YR is really a very queer and feminist project. It was run by mostly women, including the intimacy coordinator. Lisa, the head writer, insisted on an environmentally friendly production that included vegetarian meals and a lot of used clothing (I don’t know about the Valentino items 😛). You two complemented each other very well in the reactions and you make a great couple 💕 Sending love and gratitude from the US.
So I last watched Young Royals the day the last episode aired on Netflix. I'm now watching your reaction to the documentary three after you posted it and VERY SINGLE EMOTION I had watching that final season came rushing back...now I want to cry all over again.
We can imagine! We’ll give it some time before re-visiting this show. But will probably watch it in English then. At least the actors are actually voicing themselves!
@@therainbowreels except for Ervin in the final season. He didn't have time to go and do the dubbing. I think he was already on his next project/movie.
Hope you will watch Skam someday, especially Season 3. There are several international remakes too, the best being Skam France and WtFock (Flemish Belgium) S3's too.
would LOVE to see you guys react to SKAM season 3 (skam norway). each season focusses on a particular character.. so you can watch an individual season without having seen the others (there'll only be minor characters you'll get introduced to).
Hellooo i loved your reactions so so much 🫢❤️ Edvin unfortunately had no time for dubbing Wille for Season 3 so it's different person who dubbed our prince in English . Still so sad about it ... thank you for your reactions it was super fun ❤
@@Knoutzbeary Thank you! I knew Sara didn’t do S3 but wasn’t sure if there was one for S3 since I heard Omar say how comfortable they were together. I knew the hallway scene was very planned out.
@@Knoutzbeary there's a really fantastic interview with them on "the permanent rain press" from season 1. they did an interview for season 2 as well. the pr press has the largest amount of interviews from young royals that i've seen - having in-depth interviews with a lot of minor characters as well, including people like "malin" and most recently they did a series with lisa ambjorn. this is a link to the sara (intimacy coordinator) interview if anyone is interested - ruclips.net/video/TJ_t1cGqMts/видео.html

Sadly Edvin does not dub Wille's voice in season 3. Spoiled it somewhat after being used to hearing it and knowing how well they dubbed it in seasons 1 and 2. I had to switch back to Swedish
I’m glad you guys reacted to this I didn’t expect it. Since you guys are so into Anime I was wondering if you have watched the live action One Piece? I loved it and I think that would be a cool show to react to.
