I agree 100% I rely on VoiceOver. Without it my life would be a little more difficult. hahaha I love how this year they are adding a bunch of accessibility features, I love the idea of music haptics.
I just like it because I can watch "wholesome adult videos" (that I cannot mention without getting banned by YT) without having to scroll with my hands. Voice commands for the win! (That's a pro trick so make sure to jot that down!)
My prediction in the next year or two is Face ID will go away and be replaced with retinal scanning instead. This is just one of the many little steps on that path, and paths towards other features
Oh ya. Look fwd to some game to watch and hit enemies for cat or animal that has big eyes traceable and stays still w/ curiosity to follow moving objects on screen.

Ive seen a lot of these videos talking about these features, but why is no one talking about the fact that it shows the "do not disturb" toggle being able to be moved to the home screen? So I'm assuming that means you'll be able to move any toggle out of control center onto the home screen? Thats big..

Apple can say whatever they want to about the leaks but they secretly love it because it keeps us talking about their products and their operating systems. These leaks are what keeps Apple relevant while we wait for their announcements.

they weren’t storing your photos. They were stored in an iCloud backup file which is stored in your iCloud or you can save it on device. I believe . But if they wanted to store your pics they wouldn’t do it on the same servers as iCloud they would do it on external ones and they wouldn’t write a function to grab files from there Only to send files there. In ios 17.5.1 they fixed how photos are deleted from icloud backup files aswell

I use both .that statement is true and funny. Set the phones side by side . Say the key words...ie hey Google and hey Siri.. play around . Siri is very limited . Google will let you text your neighbor derogatory words if you chose. Siri gets hung up on basic tasks.
The most important feature is multitasking, which is missing. It is becoming difficult to navigate between two applications to copy data from one to another or use one part and do other activity multitasking now.
Do we really need an upgrade because the last upgrade allowed me to use a dongle for my iPad to my motel room TV and yes, the volume will come through my AirPods with the room TV volume not playing, genius
In dual sim mode, there is no option for calling from primary or secondary. There is only default call option which is either primary or else secondary. It should be option call from primary or secondary which is not available, this option to be updated in upcoming ios update.

None of these I find useful, Handicap friendlier iPhone stuff. The music vibration haptic thing is laughable. I can barely feel my pro's vibration. Can we get that 3D touch back please I'm tired of accidentally turning on my flash from the lock screen. Also the switching of the wallpaper by just holding the lock screen thing for a few seconds can that be turned off in settings?
Every year they always hype it up as the biggest update ever, and then ends up being disappointing upon release. The ai additions seem like the only major interesting part of iOS 18, and maybe the design overhauls, but we'll see in the next 3 weeks

eye tracking is amazing, and i said that as a gamer, sometimes im playing dota 2 with friends, if this allowme to answer calls, type text with mi eyes without stop using the mouse and keyboard, 100% all in in what ever verzion iphone comes
These features are amazing! My guess is that apple has a policy for allowing many ideas be devolped and being open to many ideas and some of the people there have seen people in their lives struggle with these issues and brought it up with their team leader and were allowed to make it into a real feature.

I almost cried when I heard they were adding music haptics. I have severe hearing loss and it is actually very isolating. It’s impossible to really understand this unless you have hearing loss as well. There is a surprisingly large percentage of people who have hearing loss. This will be a massive selling point. I love that Apple is so thoughtful about adapting to their customers wide variety of needs. The speech recognition feature is also going to be massive for dealing with polydirectional communication like mathematics and scientific language: x sub 2, the integral of blank from pi over two to the inverse cosine of 3 with respect to x, etc etc. it’s going to massively revolutionize scientific communication online and in teaching and in AI. Imagine an AI math tutor! Your very own who can teach you why and how things work…really…this is huge.
I’m so glad they are adding eye tracking. It will be so much help for those with disabilities. I use it to drive my wheelchair. They should’ve done it years ago.

I would love to set certain songs vibrations for certain apps or contacts. that way you would know if it is currently necessary to look at your phone or if it is just a notification you currently don't care about.
