- iOS 18 is going to be one of the biggest updates ever with some much requested changes like a new settings app, the ability to move apps anywhere, and a lot of feature request changes. But perhaps the biggest feature of iOS 18 will be it's extensive ai features which an overhaul to Siri making it much smarter, generative ai features, photo editing features, voice memos, smarter summaries, and more which could lead to a big boost in iPhone sales.

You can literally feel the difference. It's so much smoother and more responsive compared to any iPad Air.
Trust me, once you experience it, there's no going back.
Now, if we're talking MacBooks, the 60 Hz refresh rate on the MacBook Air is less of a big deal, but for the iPad Pro? That 120 Hz makes it the ultimate device for smooth, buttery performance!

I've been tossing up what could *possibly* be Apple's plan for redesigning the app style language in 18 like was rumored, and after a while i think i have the answer, and it's surprisingly stupid obvious- the answer is in the Journal app.
The journal app, like WatchOS 10's apps, features a coloured background, and like VisionOS, features some subtle almost floating grey window elements over said background, and i think that's the key to the redesign. The rumor that the redesign would be "based on VisionOS" was debunked, but that doesn't mean VisionOS can't still factor in by means of them trying to base iOS more on the identity of ALL of their other products, which have all outgrown iOS in various ways.
I could absolutely see a Music app with floating navigation and menu elements featuring thicker shadows to create that same sense of depth, i could easily see a Notes app where each individual note floats over a subtle yellow to black background gradient like the entries in the Journal already do.

More than anything i want siri in my iphone and in my mac to be connected because,
1)when i call out siri, only my mac answers again and again which is annoying.
2) It will have seamless transition as i ask my siri info and send that info to my macbook app
3)If Chatgpt is integrated, i want siri on my mac and my iphone to learn different activities such as open certain apps in certain time of the day (just an example).

Still feels like Apple is a child’s phone. Always playing catchup, failing to add AI that matters, and segregates cell users. Bunch of squares, must be an iPhone.

The tech is still mind blowing to me every time I put it on, i don’t use it everyday, but a few times a week. Usually I’m just too busy to use it rather than not wanting to use it haha.

Let me clue you in. Apple text trips over itself trying to type a single word correctly. They need to fix basic functions before they add something new that many of us don’t need and don’t care about. While they clean up the current mess, they might find a way to make their phones lighter.
I wont even consider an iPhone until they get the ability to sideload apps.
Samsung S series are just as expensive as iPhones if not more.
Arbitrary app placement was available on the iPhone a decade ago, with jailbreak.

I guess I would be happy if Siri got more Ai intelligence. Or just being able to search emails a bit more logically. But I know some people will not like Ai on their phone as they fear it.

Great video. I have given up on Google search and their RUclips algorithm is just as bad. I’m not sure if Apple is behind in AI. We know they have been using it throughout the iPhone for years. The LLM’s will be the focus in a couple of weeks. I’m not sure if I want to do all the customizations myself. I have appreciated a lot of Apple’s design language. I guess seeing the tacky design some people will put on their Home Screen is progress.
Im really excited for this one tbh. Tried some androids lately like the pixel 8 pro and I also own an s24 ultra. Ofc iphone still my favourite but would really like to see give some ai tools and new designs or more customization etc

I have both Samsung and iPhone 2024 models. I have always been tempted to go back to using the iphone just because of iMessage. Now that they're adopting RCS, i'm remaining android fan boy. Good luck figuring out what those AI generated emojis mean. I dont understand what most of them mean now

On my iPhone 14 plus I am able to see a shadow of my network strength bars and battery percentage on right side when I am in the control centre or few specific backgrounds ( at the exact same place where network strength bars and time is) ,also able to see shadow of time on left notch corner in control panel or specific backgrounds when I pay attention. Is it normal or there is some issue with display??

For normals custom home screen is a big whoop. We just want something that works the same way and looks the same every time we go to use it. At this time, I can pick up my grandsons iPhone and with the standard screen, everything's great. If he goes crazy in customizes everything just like on someone's Android phone, I am going to be completely lost.

Thing is when it comes to most of these AI features most normals will not even notice. Only notice when the Apple iPhone runs slow. When it runs faster do not even notice.
Real big thing is RCS messaging. Thing is again bet most normals do not even notice the change.
Then Siri working that is the one thing normals will notice if they ever give it another try. Because the service SUCKS BIG TIME now.
