My friend has a bf who grew up in Massachusetts, and idk why....but he sounds kind of like this? It's a little lilt of something, idk what to call it....hers could be taken for a regional American accent I guess🤔

I recommend Cuevana or Pantaya (apps/websites similar to Netflix), you can get them on your phone, computer or smart tv. Also, Univision. Spanish is the second most spoken language. Ask native speaker for recommendation. I also recommend Baselangs RealWorld program. I do not recommend baselang Grammerless program.

Yeah, this is basically how i learned English as a toddler, with cartoons, movies, series and TV shows without subtitles, it feels so magical, the same way as you did. So magical that i don't even know how i learned writing in English. I remember one day that on DVD, when i turned on the English subtitles, i was amazed how good could read in English, but i didn't have any experience reading books, i hated reading for pleasure, i just read the textbooks from school in which all the kids we're struggling and forced to understand, they never learned shit. English is self explanatory, you don't even need to learn how to read it, once you can understand the spoken language first. I watched like 3 to 5 hours of TV and movies daily, sometimes even more on Saturday and Sunday. My passion is making movies, so it's part of the job. I don't even remember a day in which i never knew English, by age 8, Star Wars The Phantom Menace was on theaters and i understood all of it in English. All my family and school speaks Spanish. The only kids who knew English at school were Hollywood movie fans and gamers, they are the ones who got me into gaming. Playing DBZ Budokai, Pokemon Red, Star Wars Battlefront and others...it feels so magical. I've been trying to figure out if i can replicate this with Japanese and Chinese, and it looks like it is possible as well, by the looks of some RUclipsrs. Thank you New Age Creators, showing the world this is possible, and giving me the courage to replicate this in Japanese and Chinese.
In my house we have a one rule: After 6:00 pm everybody talks in english, even if we are hangout or something, and this is so fun. I'm Mexican, my maternal league is spanish.

As a French-English bilingual, I know in that Romance languages you tend to refer to your first language as literally your 'maternal language', but in English you just say 'first language'. we're somewhat alike :) I learned my English from watching a lot of television as well, I've got an American sounding accent (which no one can quite put their finger on when contemplating where exactly it's from), I've never lived in the states, my parents are not native English speakers ... highfive for similarities :D
Of course, tv shows played an important part in my learning experience, and then books, but I think what really made me learn English was my need to **connect** to others, **understand** , and **feel understood** . Everytime I had a question, everytime I wanted to think about a topic which, for some reason, nobody cared about, I went to the internet. I searched for things in english cause it's the universal language and there's a lot more out there in english than in my mother tongue (pt). It's so amazing that we have a global language to help us connect with other kindred spirits on the other side of the world... Seriously, my world would be so much smaller if I didn't understand/speak this language...

I learned english mostly trough consuming EVERY media in english. I read my books in english, watch shows and movies in english, read english blogs, watch english speaking RUclipsr. Even my phone and macbook are set to english. Most of the time, i'm to lazy for good grammar, so there are a lot of mistakes in my comments and posts on the interwebs. But it's the internet, so who cares? I wish i had more chances to speak english, so that i could improve my pronunciation tho.

I was and I am a big fan of doctor who, I have not realised how many words did I learn from it ... But, the first time when I felt/ realised the difference was with: Sherlock, I mean I watched a lot of different shows... but I did not developed that rapidly than with Sherlock, it extended my vocabulary and pronunciation and also my ''visuals'.

i totally agree with everything you said ! i'm from Libya and my first language is Arabic i get asked the same questions people think that i used to study abroad or something when in fact i haven't been even been out of Tripoli i used to watch a lot of American sitcoms when i was a teenager especially friends (since you mentioned it ) at first i used to watch them with subtitles on , then at one point i found that i can pretty much understand most of the words so i switched off the subtitles at first it was really hard but then after 4 or 5 episodes in i was like wow ! i Can understand it ! i didn't really put that much pressure on my self to learn it in a specific deadline fast forward years later i'm now fluent in English and i've been actually using English to learn other stuff and now it is the language i think in thanks for the video

I was born and raised in Venezuela and I didn't go to an international school. I am now in college in the US and it always comes as a surprise when I tell people I'm not American, because I don't have an accent.. with Spanish being my first language. When they ask why, I always tell them the same thing: I grew up watching shows and movies in English, listening to music in English and I have a passion for the language. (I can also speak a few other languages so I guess I may or may not be good at this :P) But anyway, I do believe that if you really want it, putting in time and effort and exposing yourself to any language as much as possible will most definitely do the trick.
When I took French in high school, we would be required to listen to news interviews and documentaries and things like that precisely because my teacher wanted us to understand how informal, conversation French sounded different than formal, educational French. I always thought it was interesting how French (and, if I'm not mistaken, most languages) has a form of "um" that peeks out a lot in conversation. Between every couple of words or phrases in those interviews, we'd always hear "Euhhh...". That's not something you learn in a textbook.
Same Marie, same. I'm also German and I learned English fluently by watching TV shows. I started of watching RUclipsrs in English and then moved on. It's amazing how much you progress from it. My teachers were always impressed and a waiter in London recently asked a friend and me which state of the us we were from. I really love your videos because obviously they are creative but also coz I feel like we have a lot in common. (It's ridiculous how much I relate to you) .. When I was little, my sister and I were hardcore Disney fans. We watched a lot of shows and we would memorize the lines and try to reenact the scenes from the it lol, and that was one of the ways we learned english!
Yes ! I have quite a similar story, except my accent is now a mix of everything and nothing and a little bit from ontario thanks to my time abroad. as for the method, i usually recommend watching with subtitles, even in your own language at first, then in english, and then without them at all..
Yes! I'm learning korean and i can only find my way of learning how to speak korean is by watching tv but mostly documentaries in korean since k-dramas they like to exaggerate everything and speak more informal. Would love to see/hear you do a video in german, that would be quite interesting ^_^!
i used to watch a lot of soaps like "as the world turns" and learned english that way. it had dutch subtitles so i could follow it (i was very young) and learned more from tv and music than in school. having a language all around you made me not realise i was actually learning it. i still don't know every grammar reason for certain words, but just know what feels right.
i learned english by watching how i met your mother, repeatedly, just because i loved it. And it helped me out A LOT! And when i started high school i discovered youtube. I used to watch every jacksgap or ben brown videos because it was fun. And after a couple of months just watching videos i realised that vlogs are actually so helpful for my english, i even started to speak with british accent a little bit haha:) My native language is Turkish and i basically learned english because of internet. felipe izidio improvisation is definitely important, a lot of the time we stick to words and phrases we know really well- so we don't get a chance to make mistakes and learn new ways to say certain things.. so I think the best way is to listen to how other people talk (in videos, tv, or in person) or if possible trying to talk to people in English and say things regardless of you know exactly how to say it or not- being in an environment where you constantly get to practice and figure out where you may still have gaps in knowledge that you still have to work on is really important.. good luck with learning English! I hope you do well (: it's a pretty neat language ^^
+Felipe 2 The best way to learn any written foreign language is reading the RUclips comments, better than reading books. Novels and the newspaper give the proper way of writing...the public writes as they speak, which is essentially spoken language in written form, pure language.

This is sooo true and so extremely relatable. Awesome video once again! As a Dutch person English is all around you, we don't dub stuff when it can be subtitled. E-very-thing is in it's own language (except for things like Dora obviously). I'm really thankful for that. When I started learning English in pre school I did everything by gut feeling. In high school I had no idea what the teacher was talking about with grammar exercises. I just learned words and used my gut feeling (which was basically all the English I ever heard in my life). I didn't have straight A's or something, but it worked. But when I finished high school and started my series addiction, my English skills increased like 300%. I became more interested in the language and where I didn't want to read books in school, I now bought my own English books just for the sake of learning the language. There are more English books on my shelf than Dutch ones. I still watch maybe 5 series a week, everything without subtitles. I get irritated when I don't know a word, so I'll keep learning :) I failed in German tho. Still don't get the 'der-die-das-die' grammar. Then I saw 'Die Wilden Hühner' on tv and I kind of understood it. I watched 'Allein Gegen die Zeit' on RUclips, that was a little bit harder, but with the picture I could understand it better. I just came back from half a year of studies in Germany and I even went to a German movie, which I kind of understood. I read German books, watched Netflix with German subtitles and had my Spanish classes in German (aaaah). So besides the amazing effects of movies and series, your interest is sooooo important!
This is so true- I think most of my vocabulary comes from Harry Potter because it was such a familiar thing that my sister and I could watch the movies w/o subtitles. We don't have """Greek""" accents when speaking English and it's probably a mix of that, Doctor Who s3 and (tbh) Disney Channel 😅
for anyone looking to learn languages other than english who have already got some basis in their target language, netflix originals all have both subtitles and audio in at least french polish and spanish and most have subtitles in arabic so i've found that a good place to start for immersion! especially if you've already seen it in english and know the plot.
I have basically learnt English through British TV shows, specially Doctor Who, which I love. I feel more comfortable speaking in English than in Spanish (my native language), also the accent has stuck with me thanks to those TV shows!
I've learned english thanks to the passion I have for that language too, and I agree, watching movies/tv/RUclips is a huge help for improving the accent and understanding. I started with english captions for then switch without it, but I always refused to watch it with subs of my native language as is a useless thing to do. I also found reading books as another great help :)
I KNEW IT WAS POSSIBLE. Like I already speak English, but when I was about 13 I started watching a lot of Doctor Who. And it got to the point I would rewatch eps bc the next ep wasn't out yet. It was always eps with Amy Pond (or Karen Gillian) who was Scottish was the voice that stood out to me the most. So after a while I would subconsciously find myself imitating her accent. It wasn't a good one, but sounded close enough. So now, even after years of not watching DW anymore I still find myself doing it bc the accent was so deeply engraved in my mind.

Sina N Be careful, these series are all originally in Catalan. I'm sure there is a spanish dub out there, but you have to search for it. Polseres vermelles is "pulseras rojas" in spanish :) There are probably lots of series in Spanish, I just can't think of anything now. Oh, but a spanish movie i would recommend is "el laberinto del fauno".

Tangential comment on TV and accents; After becoming engrossed in The Walking Dead, in which the characters speak with American/ southern accents, I decided to watch a couple of short interviews with a couple of the actors who portray the main characters. I was previously unfamiliar with them. (I am American). Turned out they were both British and had distinct accents in the interviews. I found that fact quite jarring and it had the psychological effect of smashing the 'fourth wall', even though they were being interviewed out of character. Suffice it to say those were the last interviews of characters from that show that I have watched.

People ask me all the time, "Your education medium wasn't English. How do you speak so well?" I just tell them, "I am self taught." Now I can redirect them to this video. Great work with video, it relates. ^_^ Oh, and btw.. I started from FRIENDS, COMMUNITY, 2 Broke Girls, etc. Talking about movies, All Wes Anderson movies, Pulp Fiction, GodFather, etc. Last but not least, I used to stick to the Travel Channels, lots of documentaries. NatGeo, Discovery, TLC, Fox Traveller, all of them. (that is also a reason why I love to travel and making documentaries)
Anyone can learn a language at age 6, in fact, I learned English at age 6 well I also understand Hindi completely because of cartoons I watched at age 10 but that's because Hindi is very close to my native tongue
In the Philippines, studying english is well integrated in the education system, but definitely the way I converse and the way my accent is now is primarily from watching TV and movies. I watched a lot of One Tree Hill, Sabrina the Teenage Witch, and That's So Raven growing up. Also classic Nickelodeon shows like Drake & Josh, All That. I think my accent continuously develops as time goes by though :)
I did it self-help way seven years or maybe eight, probably. I am now a freelance translator and editor hence, my licentiate is way too and off that career path that my community won't admit it or permit it. Goodthings wish to happen.

I've learned other languages in the same way. I'm Portuguese. Of course I learned spanish and italian because some words are similar and it's more comfy but still, for me shows and books, do the trick. I'm so learning japonese. Memrise App is my bff now :)
I've always wanted to learn an east Asian language because i think south Asian culture is so different than what i have in Canada and my culture so i decided to start learning Korean by getting into Korean dramas and music! next up in Japanese, i wonder how anime is like....
cooles video! this is how i've learned both english and then german :) at first english, lots of years ago, watching cartoons and series like friends on tv (i've been lucky enough to be born in a country where cartoons/movies/series were still not dubbed.).:D even though, if you have watched the original series (i'm taking my favourite show, friends, as an example), you will probably find it less funny on german (there's a lot of subtle humor lost in the translation)...
well same here but with youtube. it helped because here coversation is more like real life if youre watching vlogs and etc. i started to replicate bouth english and american accents within two months. but i still have problems with spelling and grammer :D just want it u can do anything
You advice are good, but you already need a basic level to learn this way :) You should watch english video with english subtitles, it is the good way to catch new vocabulary ! I am a French native (more or less)

Yes subtitles. It is such a useful tool. Why wouldnt you use it? If you are a beginner in a language you just will be confronted with a wall of sound and you are not going to guess the meaning of the thousands of new words that you are exposed to in real time. Use subtitles, stop the video if you have to and look up the words. That way you are actually working with the content and build up vocabulary. Incromprehensible input will not become magically comprehensible just because you listen to it a lot.

Of course, tv shows played an important part in my learning experience, and then books, but I think what really made me learn English was my need to **connect** to others, **understand** , and **feel understood** . Everytime I had a question, everytime I wanted to think about a topic which, for some reason, nobody cared about, I went to the internet. I searched for things in english cause it's the universal language and there's a lot more out there in english than in my mother tongue (pt).
It's so amazing that we have a global language to help us connect with other kindred spirits on the other side of the world... Seriously, my world would be so much smaller if I didn't understand/speak this language...

*I've got a similar story to offer:* Had nine years of English and seven years of French in high school. Got my own TV *when I was 15, I started to watch CNN every night.* One hour of the International Desk /w Hala Gorani and one hour of Quest means Business /w Richard Quest. And more. Every Night. When I got to uni, I explored the (english) youtubes, starting with documentaries, moving to news and current events and eventually I found the zone of greatest comfort to me: Small / LGBTQ+ youtube. *By now I can pinpoint accents to the T*, my favourite still being the coastal western Australian (Perth) way of saying "year" or "here". (Incidentally, and weirdly enough, that accent kind of led me to you, you can thank Shannon Skinner!)
*I've moved on to french content in that same vein. Spanish, Swedish, Turkish, Portugese, Italian, you name it.* I have even caught myself consuming content in German again and it sounds more foreign than ever to me. I've seen Coming out stories, whisper challenges and girlfriend tags in all of those and many more. Through my studies I have also read litterally tens of thousands of pages of academic literature in English and even a few hundred in French, Spanish and Italian. *Now I reap the benefits:* Scored in the top 1% for my TOEFL for a year abroad, can compete for internships with high language proficency requirements, can edit my bosses bilingual publications on a saturday before lunch nbd.
Now here's the funny part: *I'm not good at languages at all. I'm not.* I almost failed 5th and 6th grade thanks to English and 7th and 8th grade thanks to French. I only managed with great pains and disipline to get my supplemental Latin diploma ("Latinum") required to graduate from college. I suck at languages, but I'm not letting that get in the way of my life/career/relationships. Languages, step aside!
But let's also take that last sentence of mine as an opportunity to *very openly acknowledge the significant amount of privilege that surrounds this conversation.* The privilege of native english speakers who have most of the world learn their language. The privilege of us two German kiddos who got a good (public) education that included serious language portions and forced me to take at least seven years of English and five of French. The privileges of multilingual persons, which are manifold.

I learned english mostly trough consuming EVERY media in english. I read my books in english, watch shows and movies in english, read english blogs, watch english speaking RUclipsr. Even my phone and macbook are set to english.
Most of the time, i'm to lazy for good grammar, so there are a lot of mistakes in my comments and posts on the interwebs. But it's the internet, so who cares?
I wish i had more chances to speak english, so that i could improve my pronunciation tho.

I was and I am a big fan of doctor who, I have not realised how many words did I learn from it ...
But, the first time when I felt/ realised the difference was with:
Sherlock, I mean I watched a lot of different shows... but I did not developed that rapidly than with Sherlock, it extended my vocabulary and pronunciation and also my ''visuals'.

i used to watch a lot of American sitcoms when i was a teenager especially friends (since you mentioned it )
at first i used to watch them with subtitles on , then at one point i found that i can pretty much understand most of the words so i switched off the subtitles at first it was really hard but then after 4 or 5 episodes in i was like wow ! i Can understand it !
i didn't really put that much pressure on my self to learn it in a specific deadline
fast forward years later i'm now fluent in English and i've been actually using English to learn other stuff
and now it is the language i think in

I was born and raised in Venezuela and I didn't go to an international school. I am now in college in the US and it always comes as a surprise when I tell people I'm not American, because I don't have an accent.. with Spanish being my first language. When they ask why, I always tell them the same thing: I grew up watching shows and movies in English, listening to music in English and I have a passion for the language. (I can also speak a few other languages so I guess I may or may not be good at this :P) But anyway, I do believe that if you really want it, putting in time and effort and exposing yourself to any language as much as possible will most definitely do the trick.

When I took French in high school, we would be required to listen to news interviews and documentaries and things like that precisely because my teacher wanted us to understand how informal, conversation French sounded different than formal, educational French. I always thought it was interesting how French (and, if I'm not mistaken, most languages) has a form of "um" that peeks out a lot in conversation. Between every couple of words or phrases in those interviews, we'd always hear "Euhhh...". That's not something you learn in a textbook.

Same Marie, same. I'm also German and I learned English fluently by watching TV shows. I started of watching RUclipsrs in English and then moved on. It's amazing how much you progress from it. My teachers were always impressed and a waiter in London recently asked a friend and me which state of the us we were from. I really love your videos because obviously they are creative but also coz I feel like we have a lot in common. (It's ridiculous how much I relate to you) .. When I was little, my sister and I were hardcore Disney fans. We watched a lot of shows and we would memorize the lines and try to reenact the scenes from the it lol, and that was one of the ways we learned english!
Yes ! I have quite a similar story, except my accent is now a mix of everything and nothing and a little bit from ontario thanks to my time abroad. as for the method, i usually recommend watching with subtitles, even in your own language at first, then in english, and then without them at all..
Yes! I'm learning korean and i can only find my way of learning how to speak korean is by watching tv but mostly documentaries in korean since k-dramas they like to exaggerate everything and speak more informal. Would love to see/hear you do a video in german, that would be quite interesting ^_^!
i used to watch a lot of soaps like "as the world turns" and learned english that way. it had dutch subtitles so i could follow it (i was very young) and learned more from tv and music than in school. having a language all around you made me not realise i was actually learning it. i still don't know every grammar reason for certain words, but just know what feels right.

i learned english by watching how i met your mother, repeatedly, just because i loved it. And it helped me out A LOT! And when i started high school i discovered youtube. I used to watch every jacksgap or ben brown videos because it was fun. And after a couple of months just watching videos i realised that vlogs are actually so helpful for my english, i even started to speak with british accent a little bit haha:) My native language is Turkish and i basically learned english because of internet. Thanks for the video, it was very relatable:))

felipe izidio improvisation is definitely important, a lot of the time we stick to words and phrases we know really well- so we don't get a chance to make mistakes and learn new ways to say certain things.. so I think the best way is to listen to how other people talk (in videos, tv, or in person) or if possible trying to talk to people in English and say things regardless of you know exactly how to say it or not- being in an environment where you constantly get to practice and figure out where you may still have gaps in knowledge that you still have to work on is really important.. good luck with learning English! I hope you do well (: it's a pretty neat language ^^
+Felipe 2 The best way to learn any written foreign language is reading the RUclips comments, better than reading books. Novels and the newspaper give the proper way of writing...the public writes as they speak, which is essentially spoken language in written form, pure language.

As a Dutch person English is all around you, we don't dub stuff when it can be subtitled. E-very-thing is in it's own language (except for things like Dora obviously). I'm really thankful for that.
When I started learning English in pre school I did everything by gut feeling. In high school I had no idea what the teacher was talking about with grammar exercises. I just learned words and used my gut feeling (which was basically all the English I ever heard in my life). I didn't have straight A's or something, but it worked.
But when I finished high school and started my series addiction, my English skills increased like 300%. I became more interested in the language and where I didn't want to read books in school, I now bought my own English books just for the sake of learning the language. There are more English books on my shelf than Dutch ones.
I still watch maybe 5 series a week, everything without subtitles. I get irritated when I don't know a word, so I'll keep learning :)
I failed in German tho. Still don't get the 'der-die-das-die' grammar. Then I saw 'Die Wilden Hühner' on tv and I kind of understood it. I watched 'Allein Gegen die Zeit' on RUclips, that was a little bit harder, but with the picture I could understand it better. I just came back from half a year of studies in Germany and I even went to a German movie, which I kind of understood. I read German books, watched Netflix with German subtitles and had my Spanish classes in German (aaaah).
So besides the amazing effects of movies and series, your interest is sooooo important!

This is so true- I think most of my vocabulary comes from Harry Potter because it was such a familiar thing that my sister and I could watch the movies w/o subtitles. We don't have """Greek""" accents when speaking English and it's probably a mix of that, Doctor Who s3 and (tbh) Disney Channel 😅
for anyone looking to learn languages other than english who have already got some basis in their target language, netflix originals all have both subtitles and audio in at least french polish and spanish and most have subtitles in arabic so i've found that a good place to start for immersion! especially if you've already seen it in english and know the plot.
I have basically learnt English through British TV shows, specially Doctor Who, which I love. I feel more comfortable speaking in English than in Spanish (my native language), also the accent has stuck with me thanks to those TV shows!
I've learned english thanks to the passion I have for that language too, and I agree, watching movies/tv/RUclips is a huge help for improving the accent and understanding.

I KNEW IT WAS POSSIBLE. Like I already speak English, but when I was about 13 I started watching a lot of Doctor Who. And it got to the point I would rewatch eps bc the next ep wasn't out yet. It was always eps with Amy Pond (or Karen Gillian) who was Scottish was the voice that stood out to me the most. So after a while I would subconsciously find myself imitating her accent. It wasn't a good one, but sounded close enough. So now, even after years of not watching DW anymore I still find myself doing it bc the accent was so deeply engraved in my mind.

Sina N Be careful, these series are all originally in Catalan. I'm sure there is a spanish dub out there, but you have to search for it. Polseres vermelles is "pulseras rojas" in spanish :)
There are probably lots of series in Spanish, I just can't think of anything now. Oh, but a spanish movie i would recommend is "el laberinto del fauno".

Tangential comment on TV and accents; After becoming engrossed in The Walking Dead, in which the characters speak with American/ southern accents, I decided to watch a couple of short interviews with a couple of the actors who portray the main characters. I was previously unfamiliar with them. (I am American). Turned out they were both British and had distinct accents in the interviews. I found that fact quite jarring and it had the psychological effect of smashing the 'fourth wall', even though they were being interviewed out of character. Suffice it to say those were the last interviews of characters from that show that I have watched.
you're basically me, except i went for a british accent. :D the earliest memory i have of wanting to be better at english is watching interview/behind the scenes material of harry potter - which never came with german subs. a few years later, i consume most of my media in english (usually with english subs), think and write at least partly in english, and like you said - it feels more comfortable than german at this point. - jessie

I started from FRIENDS, COMMUNITY, 2 Broke Girls, etc. Talking about movies, All Wes Anderson movies, Pulp Fiction, GodFather, etc. Last but not least, I used to stick to the Travel Channels, lots of documentaries. NatGeo, Discovery, TLC, Fox Traveller, all of them. (that is also a reason why I love to travel and making documentaries)

Anyone can learn a language at age 6, in fact, I learned English at age 6 well I also understand Hindi completely because of cartoons I watched at age 10 but that's because Hindi is very close to my native tongue

In the Philippines, studying english is well integrated in the education system, but definitely the way I converse and the way my accent is now is primarily from watching TV and movies. I watched a lot of One Tree Hill, Sabrina the Teenage Witch, and That's So Raven growing up. Also classic Nickelodeon shows like Drake & Josh, All That. I think my accent continuously develops as time goes by though :)
I did it self-help way seven years or maybe eight, probably. I am now a freelance translator and editor hence, my licentiate is way too and off that career path that my community won't admit it or permit it.

I've learned other languages in the same way. I'm Portuguese. Of course I learned spanish and italian because some words are similar and it's more comfy but still, for me shows and books, do the trick.

I've always wanted to learn an east Asian language because i think south Asian culture is so different than what i have in Canada and my culture so i decided to start learning Korean by getting into Korean dramas and music! next up in Japanese, i wonder how anime is like....
cooles video! this is how i've learned both english and then german :) at first english, lots of years ago, watching cartoons and series like friends on tv (i've been lucky enough to be born in a country where cartoons/movies/series were still not dubbed.).:D even though, if you have watched the original series (i'm taking my favourite show, friends, as an example), you will probably find it less funny on german (there's a lot of subtle humor lost in the translation)...

well same here but with youtube. it helped because here coversation is more like real life if youre watching vlogs and etc. i started to replicate bouth english and american accents within two months. but i still have problems with spelling and grammer :D just want it u can do anything
You advice are good, but you already need a basic level to learn this way :) You should watch english video with english subtitles, it is the good way to catch new vocabulary ! I am a French native (more or less)

Yes subtitles. It is such a useful tool. Why wouldnt you use it? If you are a beginner in a language you just will be confronted with a wall of sound and you are not going to guess the meaning of the thousands of new words that you are exposed to in real time. Use subtitles, stop the video if you have to and look up the words. That way you are actually working with the content and build up vocabulary. Incromprehensible input will not become magically comprehensible just because you listen to it a lot.
