    Thanks for another great video. I do land in bunkers occasionally, and ours are always wet and hard-
    packed.

    Another excellent,clear,easy to follow video to help golfers get out of bunkers with little sand.
    It is always worthwhile to read the comments & replies.
    eg. This advice also works for wet sand.
    Many thanks for ALL your videos which help many golfers.
    Glad you have settled in to your new super venue.

    I just watched a dozen videos on wet packed or no sand bunkers and only you properly describe the problem. All the others had decent sand.

    Thank you for this excellent tip!!! I used it today on three different bunkers, and it worked perfectly. I got out of each bunker, and onto the green, with one shot each time. I was absolutely amazed how well it works.

      that's fantastic, it goes against our natural instincts but when you understand how bounce works then it becomes quite logical

    Great explanation, the bunkers here in Colorado get really hard it is like hitting out of concrete at times. This really made those shots a lot easier.

    I see ... so all I've been doing wrong in hard packed bunkers for years ... is exactly everything (except for leaning back which I don't do) - and now I know. It's counterintuitive, but actually, perfect sense. Thanks Julian - I now WANT to get into a crappy bunker to try this out

    Excellent tip Julian. Used in the last couple of days at our golf course and it really worked for me.
    Surprised how easy the shot was, with great results. Closing the face and ball in centre of stance, with not much effort in the swing really worked.

    Are you hitting the ball clean or taking some sand

    • @JulianMellor
      @JulianMellor  Год назад

      You can’t take much sand if it’s compact but certainly make an attempt to get the leading edge of the club under the ball

    Hi Julian, Thank you for this. A question: where are you striking the sand? At the ball (i.e. pick as clean as possible) a couple of inches behind the ball with a shallow approach? Cheers from Oz.

    • @JulianMellor
      @JulianMellor  4 года назад

      Hi, thanks for your comment, ideally you want to be striking fractionally behind the ball 2 inches would be too far, may I also take this opportunity to wish Oz all the best with the recent fires, terrible for all involved

  • @daveparsons7756
