I'm a Brit so I hope this helps. Typically in England we make thinner crepe style pancakes it what my dad used to make for me as a kid, however we do also have "American" Style pancakes which are the ones you're thinking of presumably. So I think Kay was making a crepe, but on the first "pancake" she said she didn't add all the milk and still ended up with that runny. I swear she's getting these recipes from a troll. Yeah, Americans don't really think of crepes and pancakes being the same thing. Brits call Crêpes 'pancakes' for some reason. As a Brit myself I can't give you any reason as to why, but she's trying to create a crêpe, not a pancake. (Just wanted to explain for peeps that didn't know)
as an international student studying in the UK, those pancakes are exactly the ones they make. I once bought a Sainsbury's ready mix pancake mix, it required so much milk the batter was so liquidy. But then i realized that its supposed to be thin, unlike what hollywood shows you. Its very similar to how we make it back in my home country in malaysia, we call it lempeng, and its usually eaten as a breakfast, savoury with anchovy sambal or curry or whatever you want to dip it in with. Sweetened condensed milk also works if you want it as 'dessert'.
Long time viewer and Patreon supporter, first time commenter here. After so many Cooking With Kay videos, I've grown intrigued by the possibility that all of her wacky and non-typical recipes are actually one of those things that end up being absolutely delicious despite the understandable and warranted idea of what we as westerners typically find interest in. I had the opportunity to experience many different cultures in my life so far, and I tried to always envelope myself in each regions' idea of culinary art. However I have never been to Europe, nonetheless England/UK. What if this is actually some really good food? August, if you one day had the opportunity to have Kay prepare one of her self- produced recipes for you, how reluctant would you be to give it a try? It'd be an experience, at least. Kind of makes me want to give these recipes a go, if I had just slightly more interest in the "everything's fried" sector of worldwide dietary preference. Contact her and do a collaboration to reinforce your current position on it! Or at least follow her recipe at home and give a review
She always sounds more depressed than the last video. I hope that's just her normal voice and I'm just reading into it too much. Cooking aside, she seems like a sweet person.
6:40 As a matter of fact me and my wife saw similar recipe once (on tiktok I think) and we were in the mood to cook something god awful, so we did. This is a staple of our breakfast cuisine now, I shit you not. Noodles and omelette are so good together it's uncanny, yet you still can taste both flavours, like in a good song arrangement. I think everyone should try this: mix cooked noodles with raw eggs (and noodle seasoning if it was in a separate bag) and pour them on a pan, fry it as usual. Garnish by veggies of choice. Delicious.

I am watching this video while eating pancakes and already started laughing at 0:06
I am so glad august is almost at 1 million subs 😃
@Mikko Maggie More like you said its a bot so why bother replying to it lmao
and yes i did waste my time typing all of this
The pancake was actually a horribly done crepe.
August's humor literally gives me life
These bots-
7:55 THAT ..... IS SCRAMBLED EGG WHAT ARE YOU ON?!?
Brits call Crêpes 'pancakes' for some reason. As a Brit myself I can't give you any reason as to why, but she's trying to create a crêpe, not a pancake. (Just wanted to explain for peeps that didn't know)
Indeed, I am glad someone else explained this so I didn’t have to
as an international student studying in the UK, those pancakes are exactly the ones they make.
Despite how sweet she is, I feel like ill Explode when i finish that food.

The Pancakes in the intro looks dead inside 💀
As a brit, never called a pancake an omlet or the reverse
Does anyone know daz games?

English pancakes are thinner than American ones. Somewhere slightly thicker than a crêpe.
6:00 LMAO U SOUNDED JUST LIKE HER 😂😂😂
Can we take a minute to salute Lees' gut?
As a fellow British person I promise we do not eat this Tom foolery over here
Those “pancakes” just look like solidified bacon grease
Your impression of Kay was on point, loved it.
She always sounds more depressed than the last video. I hope that's just her normal voice and I'm just reading into it too much. Cooking aside, she seems like a sweet person.
Her budget meals are like jacks lazy man recipes

6:40 As a matter of fact me and my wife saw similar recipe once (on tiktok I think) and we were in the mood to cook something god awful, so we did. This is a staple of our breakfast cuisine now, I shit you not. Noodles and omelette are so good together it's uncanny, yet you still can taste both flavours, like in a good song arrangement. I think everyone should try this: mix cooked noodles with raw eggs (and noodle seasoning if it was in a separate bag) and pour them on a pan, fry it as usual. Garnish by veggies of choice. Delicious.
To all the people who say there “first”
Why
Might I suggest calling the series the "Kay-tastrophy Tasty's"
I think Kay is a generally nice person. But I think she needs to find a different hobby.
Your impression of Kay into the actual clip... Shattered 4 years off my life span from laughter alone 😂
