I would have thought it was behavioral if I was invited with the hiring manager too 🤣I think another moral of the story is it doesn't hurt to email to clarity whether the interview is technical or not
Been looking for a channel like this all my life! Thanks for the breakdown brother. What programming languages do you still need for the job if i may ask assuming i have C++ and Python in the bag? Thanks!
This means a lot. Thanks very much for this... it makes me want to make more videos. In my interviews they didn't really care about the language, more about the problem solving and Computer Science fundamentals.
@@tallulabellm1 Looking forward to more videos! Never turned on post notifications on RUclips all my life till I found your channel! So yea, it means a lot to me and many out there! That's super cool then, because I was worried I still need to master the entire Full Stack tools despite being comfortable with backend, C++ and Python. Definitely devoting the extra time to CS foundation and continue with my DS&A which never ends. Many thanks brother!
Hello bro how are you doing? If you can can you please make a video about from the start you learned programming which courses we need and books for getting into swe at quant companies
Hey thank you for sharing your experience. I was curious, where do you practice system design interviews? Leetcode is straightforward to practice, but wasn’t sure about system design.
Thanks for your comment. I studied the Computer Architecture course at my university (I studied a BSc in Computer Science). But you defo don't need to go to college for that, if college wasn't a resource to me I'd use a RUclips lecture series playlist. Something like this (I did not watch any of these videos): ruclips.net/video/Onf7AKGHBzg/видео.html
A free online course I would also recommend is OMSCS's HPCA (I attended GT and had taken this course). Although I would say that it would require GREAT discipline to self-study this course
This is exactly what I was looking for! Subscribed. One question - most trading firms have an option to submit a cover letter or a note to the hiring manager as part of the application process for software engineers. How important is this in your opinion?
Man that really means a lot, thank you! Honestly, since I am typically very lazy I never used to put more than 5 mins effort into cover letters lol. It didn't stop me from getting all those interviews though.
I thought you can do it citadel interview very tough 🎉 can you tell me what resources you follow example OA problam technical round final round and what tips want to give if anyone students study in 2nd years in university
Cool. I recently had the similar experience. 1 screening stage, 5 virtual on-site rounds, 1 hiring manager stage, 1 final hr round. I passed.
Let's goooo! That's so awesome. Thanks for watching buddy.

Hello! Check out my most recent video about resources for HFT.
Thank you for your insight. Can you tell us where you did the course on computer architecture?
Thanks for your comment.

Hiring manager won’t look at your cover letter or note in 99% of the time, and it doesn’t matter.
Hey can u please suggest a resource for system design. I have an interview coming up on 19th of March. Would be grateful if u could help me with this.
Hello! I hope to make a resources video this weekend!
How many lc have you solved in total? Wondering how far away I am from that level
I solved around 450
@@tallulabellm1 I’m still at 70 : / What is your ratio between the levels?
dude how much money can a software developer as a fresher can get per year
Depends on company to company
@@udayptp I don't have degree dude

I agree, it depends. But we are definitely lucky that in software the salaries are so high.

Hey! I will soon create a video on how I prepare for these interviews.
But LeetCode was definitely the most useful tool.
@tallulabellm1 interview prep video would be very useful, thanks
Please use a better microphone. Its very low.
Thanks so much for the feedback! I'll invest in one.
