I enjoy and appreciate these videos from Brad from fix this build that. Very good explanations and who the heck would take that much time to not just build a smokeless fire pit but take the viewers on the journey to find out what works best. I'm retired and new to doing any major builds. Never to old to learn and with help like this I can actually keep busy doing some fun stuff myself. Thanks Mr Brad!

Another nice build. Good tip on checking the factory edges of plywood. In many of your other builds that required panels is doors, you always sneak up on the groove size and with your expertise ... they always come out great. Ever consider using a kerf maker tool ? I always rip about a 32nd of an inch off the factory edge on my sheet goods. Then I use TSO’s parallel guide to rip parallel to the edge I established. From there I use another TSO product their track square and cross cut.
I don’t even take them to the table saw unless I need to cut dados or rabbets.

Beautiful project and great use of space! As someone just starting out attempting to make his first cabinet panels, I have a question regarding wood selection for painting. The plywood you used seemed to take the paint beautifully, but I’m having issues with still seeing the grain after multiple passes of primer/sanding. Does your video skip this slow, painful sanding part, or is there a specific plywood grade you’re using that doesn’t require it? Thanks for any advice!!

Have you ever looked into Zipwall? I LOVE mine. They are spring loaded poles. They will go up to the ceiling. Just add plastic. I have a large space for my shop. So I leave them up all the time usually. But they go up and down so easy. And they keep the overspray in the “paint booth”. And the dust out. I don’t have it up right now because I haven’t been spraying. But its also great for just having hand finished items in there. Then you can continue working making sawdust while the paint/finish dries.
