This was our very first time driving from Austin Texas to Walt Disney World for a spring break vacation. We planned to break it up between two days so we wouldn't be total wrecks trying to get there and it worked great. We had a few hiccups due to traffic, accidents and weather but overall I would say it was a success.
This was a resort split stay, which we love to do, and for the first part we stayed at the Gran Destino Tower Coronado Spring Resort. Here's the link if you'd like to see a full room tour: • Gran Destino Tower Roo...

Road trips like this gives me the warm and fuzzies. I just love it. Super tiring but man that last day when Disney is on the horizon…nothing beats it!

We just returned from our 2200 mile round trip Disney World trip. Stayed at Riviera, Pop Century (first time), and Caribbean Beach. Wonderful trip with the Easter parade addition. We only drive to Disney with the five of us and I wouldn't change anything. The drive is a good time to just be a family without the distractions of the outside. Our drive is around 16-19 hours depending on traffic, although I did make it yesterday in 15.5 hours on Easter. We usually split it up on the way down and drive straight home. It was nice seeing the drive through a different set of states as we come down from Ohio. Glad everyone made it safe and sound and cheers to everyone's future trips!

I'm impressed you were able to drive non stop. We seriously considered it on the way home because it's nice to just be home after a trip but decided to stay over a night in Lake Charles. So glad you had a wonderful trip.

Man this looks fun. We are considering driving to WDW (from North Texas) for the first time this summer and videos like this make it look more appealing!

We drove down in August and my teens really loved it, I think I shared that before but we did buy a Buc-ees Stuffed Animal as our souvenir. My worst fear was driving over bridges and getting stuck in traffic. Such a shame what happened in Baltimore . I believe we would have gone on that bridge but we went around on a different route to avoid traffic. Hope u can get a Guardians pass that was the Best Ride. My son’s favorite ❤️

Thanks for giving me the encouragement to try the drive. It wasn't as bad as I initially was imagining. My heart breaks for what happened to that bridge and the people and families affected.

Great Vlog!! Bucees is the best! I am surprised Aaron didn't get the beef brisket!! And yes that Banana pudding is Amazing! Also that interstate 10 I drove before from Louisiana to Texas and I couldn't believe all the road side casinos, it was nuts! That's funny we have a train horn installed in our truck as well, but we never used it in a tunnel. Omg that is a big closet for a hotel room! Holy Smokes! We drive also to Disney every year and the bridges are always scary to go over. We took the Scott Key Bridge every year so it's just crazy what happened recently to the people that were on that bridge and the bridge itself. And yes always going down i95 there is crazy traffic accidents especially around Washington DC. So sorry to hear you also hit some crazy traffic around Mississippi! But otherwise Road trips are a really cool way to see so many beautiful places in the USA! Love that Walt Disney World Welcoming sign!! Our drive is about 16 hours so now we just take our time and just start to stay overnight in a town to explore on our way down to Disney, this year we are going to check out St Augustine in more depth, it's so beautiful there and there's a Bucees off i95 there, you have to take the kids there!! Have fun and I so enjoy your Vlogs!!

I we did consider leaving Disney a day earlier to stay overnight in New Orleans on the way home to explore and have a good meal but no one wanted to leave Disney early, lol. Maybe on another trip because I do love that idea of getting to see more places.

We drive from upstate NY every other year to stay at Fort Wilderness campground. It' a 1300 mile trip one way and worth it in my opinion.

Thanks for sharing! I think we would definitely drive again in the future if it makes more sense budget wise.

We always drive from PA. Takes about 15 hours-we typically do an overnight somewhere. Sometimes in the Pooler, Ga area sometimes we make it to Jacksonville

It's 12 hours for us. We did it pre-kid and I'd definitely consider doing it again when she is older. Right now she complains about a 45 minute car ride, so we're going to wait a while and have to work up from there 🤣

Definitely a lot easier with older kids who can toggle on/off between screen time and chill time.12 hours sounds a lot better to me, haha!

I'm 70 and will be doing my first solo road trio to WDW in Sept. I have done the trip many times but never by myself. So excited but a little nervous, too.

I'm impressed!! The few times I've had park time solo, I loved having my airpods in either listening to music or podcasts at times that I was feeling extra anxious. Vlogging does help too. Good luck and thanks so much for watching!

@@DisGoals Thanks for your post and thanks for the good wishes! I am driving from Webster just south of Houston. I used to live in Smithville and love Austin. Also when I lived in Smithville, I was a substitute teacher in Giddings and Bastrop.
