100% agree on the new NSX. That car is INCREDIBLY underrated. I rode in one recently and it's truly an astonishing car, mixing exceptional handling with surprising ride comfort, blistering performance in a V6 plug-in hybrid, and excellent looks (particularly in red) that somehow blend in with the crowd anyway. The whole car is a marriage of opposites, and it's very much underappreaciated in the market.

Both of these vehicles are affordable to most people. But good examples that last for 20 years likely will be worth decent money. I’d guess the GR86, Z, and Supra that remain low miles will be worth good money 15-20 years from now-we are seeing dealer markups on MSRP on all these as it stands.

We dont need more collectible cars, we need to promote the enjoyment of cars over trying to find the next money maker. Prioritizing getting money out of as many cars as possible is going to be what mostly kills off the car community.

It's not like they couldn't, the URUS has the same engine and it has 657HP and it sounds amazing! But the handling, I think is better on the RS. I only drove the E63S a few times and to me the RS handles nicer with the 4-wheel steering. On the RS mode it's amazing and in auto or confort, it feels like an S-Class.

Adding power to an electric motor is practically impossible once you reach the limit of what the motor is designed for. You might be able to unlock a bit more power beyond what the manufacturer limited it to stock but beyond that it's physically limited by its internals. They're already designed for maximum efficiency at translating electricity into motion so it's not like you can upgrade the windings or magnets.

Since you brought up color, which is a issue that I have discussed for a long time, I'd be interested in hearing you discuss this more. I talked with a person who was a brand manager at Chrysler and asked why there are so many black, white and silver cars sold. He said that it was because those are the colors that people want. I countered with the idea that most people purchase their vehicles out of dealer stock, and black, white and silver vehicles are what dealers order, so that is what people purchase. Other than my first car that was purchased out of dealer stock in 1985, I have since always ordered my vehicles so that I can get them the way I want them, including an interesting color. My current Wrangler is Commando Green (a color people either love or hate). The previous Jeep was Cactus Green. I currently own a Plum Crazy purple Challenger, and we had a Toxic Orange Charger. We only had three black cars (I dislike black cars, but my wife likes them.)

We have pushed gasoline engines to the limit. What is Cadillac going to do with the Blackwing? Give it 200 more HP so it has almost 900? Thats rediculous and it would be seen as almost comical to give a sedan that much power from the factory. We have (for practical purposes) maxed out the gasoline engine and the next step is electric.
