- In today's video I am going to be sharing with you a fantastic hack which will allow us to use print then cut for any colour of material, and now that Cricut have changed their registration marks it makes it so much easier!!

Hi Gemma, Thanks for this awesome tip! I have the Maker but it's very finicky when it comes to how dark my cardstock is when I do print then cut. Also, do you have a brand of colored cardstock you like best for printing? I'm in the middle of a project but it's not super smooth cardstock, so my toner is printing a bit blotchy. Thanks so much!!!!

Can’t wait to try, but I have score lines to,, hopefully it works. I have a Maker3 and yesterday it cut my purple sheet, but score lines were not in the right location and today it won’t cut at all.
Hey! Sounds good! I’d probably try adding your score lines manually afterwards as I think you may find it hard to line up otherwise, also if it’s scanning but not cutting you might have a glare off your paper so try turning off the lights in your room and see if that helps the machine to work out where it needs to cut. Just stick white labels on each of the corners of the dark substrate before printing - then the printer will print direct on to the the corner white labels :)

How did you get the registration marks on the colored paper? Is it necessary? I'm trying to make wedding invitations on light colored paper using print and cut.
Hi! Yes you still need them in order to place the ones from the white sheet otherwise the machine won’t know what it’s cutting and where. Thanks for watching! 💛
It seems you would have to waste a lot of ink if you are printing a lot of different projects?
I tend to keep a set of the "corners" handy now if I am doing another project I just save them for when I need to use them on a darker project like this one, there's no waste that way - thank you for watching :)
@@GemmaElisabeth If you get some white correction tape and put it just on the inside and outside of all four corners, and it cuts. You won't have to waste ink on double printing, nor cutting anything out. I hope this helps. Let me know if you try it or if you need a photo of how to do it

Since correction tape can be unpredictable, I am also going to try little strips of sticker paper.@@GemmaElisabeth
