People love to hate on Sir Nick for the occasional gaffe or stumble, but he is truly one of the best to ever do it. Nobody else has his combination of wins on the course and experience in the booth. He's been in the tower longer than I've been watching golf. He knows the game inside out and his love of the game shines through in the broadcast. He will be missed.

Sad to see you hang it up Nick. But what a blessing/treat it was to hear and see you on tv during many of golf’s greatest moments. You will surely be missed but deserve everything you want going forward. Cheers to more time with family and for all the memories.

When I was in middle school, on vacation in Orlando, I went to play golf with my Dad at Nick Faldo's course at the Grand Vista Resort (golf course isn't named after him anymore), when we showed up, Nick was actually practicing on the putting green. My Dad grab a scorecard, handed it to me and said, "THAT'S Nick Faldo! Go over and ask for his autograph!", I did and Nick couldn't have been any nicer. I have a very nice framed autographed scorecard from him: "To Tom, Best Wishes, Nick Faldo"

I know they are giving money up front to the bigger names which could assist in missing a week but if they have 100 - 125 members how can they continue with 48 man fields?

But that's why they're wondering 'what the long term goal' is -- they have unlimited money and can easily fit as many as they want, increase the purse size, add more events, change it to a normal hole #1 and #10 start. This is what the Tour is trying to prevent. Not enough people thinking this through.

Dan is the worst interviewer in the world I’m surprised he didn’t ask his favorite question to nick “did bird talk trash?”🙄

Exactly. Or asking about handing out a super bowl trophy… Dan’s great claim to fame.

There is a simple question to ask golfers who join the LIV tour, "Why does money matter to you more than the murder of Jamal Khashoggi?"

They didn't kill the guy, they didn't participate in it. The US Gov participated in it by keeping complicity silent about it, as a government. Golf players aren't politicians, nor governments.
Why do golf players have to share your beliefs? Who the fuck are you? Leave ppl the fuck alone. Like Collin Morikawa said, people don't know WTF is going on behind closed doors and are just gossiping and talking out of their asses.

yeah i get what your saying but honestly these guys are not wired like that - don't know how many tour players you know - but if get very far outside of talking about golf or some sport - your going to be talking to yourself . Great players but pretty one dimensional characters

He repeatedly dismissed it as "exhibition" golf not tournament golf. He's off to the ranch and wont' touch LIV with a bargepole.

With the depth of talent today, winning multiple majors like Jack or Tiger is out of reach. If simply winning tournaments isn't motivating enough, then it's about the money. If that's the case, young players should go wherever they can cash in. It's a business.
