I appreciate you making this video, I always keep a back up electric saw for when my gas goes down. I would recommend to place logs on something more stable and don’t hold the log your cutting with your foot. It’s much safer to sit the chainsaw down and just roll the log over and finish the other half of your cut.
If you don’t want to roll the log hang it off the end instead of cutting in the middle to stop the pressure on the log from clamping on the blade. This is my favorite method.
No! You do not rotate log while cutting! Cut a little over halfway through, stop cutting, turn log over by rolling, then finish cut. It seemed to bog down because your cut was so deep the blade was starting to bind. I have this particular corded worx saw and never have had a problem with it. And I have cut up to 20" logs with it, but then I know what I am doing. Granted you are trying, but really, you need to watch someone cutting logs with an electric saw. They generally have plenty of torque to get the job done. I use mine to cut 2 1/2 to 3 cords a year for heating my home. I am 70 years old and used gas saws for 35 years until I bought this saw. You must be weak because 12 lbs. is light weight for this type of tool. I went electric because I got tired of all the messing with and mixing gasoline and the loud noise, plus electric is instant on, no having to try to restart a saw that died!
Nice garage man! Thanks for video. I actually just emailed Worx about mine not working and because of 9:45 ish, I learned about that extra safety switch. I just destroyed a tree. Thanks again!
Wow! So glad that I actually helped! That's my boiler room. I would sleep there if I could and just listen to the peaceful click of the relays and the boiler pumps whirring. Enjoy your Worx! Thanks for watching and be sure to get a generator (see my videos). Subscribe for updates.
Woooo! Thank you for showing the kickback plate working, because I really thought I had a dud. The kickback plate is not clearly explained in the instructions
Just baught one, the two holes in box is so blade goes to other box (better for store and shipping), teeth are to go against log then angle down. Also always have gravity make cut log fall not fold onto other.
i use my oil change oil , for chain saw oil . Must be a Yankee ! 1st time to use a chain saw ~ Your lucky didn't cut your leg off How we know? cause the center of gravity on the blade, from the logs, binds it, and kicks back! SO YOUR VERY LUCKY
Great review, you should do another video of you cutting more logs. Also the grass is looking great, do you take care of your lawn, or do you use a service?
Thank You!. The secret to a great lawn is using Well Water. I have a well and I water my Lawn Twice a Day so that it looks like a rainforest, and the water is free. see my well water video for details.
Wow, I've seen your well water video, but I never thought that would make that much of a difference. Crazy, how long do you water? Do you do anything else... like fertilize?
The front sun receiving sections, I water each section twice, at 20 minutes each time. the shady portions less. It's all about the water. it makes it look like a rainforest. gardener fertilizes and that helps, and I sprinkle some fertilizer as well.
Nice saw till the drive gear strips out, then throw it in the garbage can, because NO parts are available. Good luck trying to get Worx to stand behind their warranty.
"Where the chain brake is I don't know". OK, that pretty much rendered the video useless at that point as the guy had no freaking idea what he was doing. Did not bother watching the rest, but from the comments, it was cringeworthy.
Before you buy any electric chainsaw, check to see if replacement brushes are available. If not, as in the case of this saw, you've got a throw away piece of crap.

I was also afraid you might cut your foot off, the way you brace that log with your foot! Scared me!

Is this the first time this guy has ever had his hands on any form of a chainsaw ?
It Certainly looks like it.

The more easy chainsaw for me!
I did the same thing when I tried to start it.

this is/was also sold by sears as a craftsman
Took 4:15 for him to just get it out of the box! Com'on man!
Please don't ever do that again. You broke every rule regarding using a chainsaw.

Because the safety is on. Push in the Kickback safety and it will turn on. See the video

u no nothing about cutting with a chainsaw...
He said that. Cut him some slack.
I Agree, But we all have to learn somehow, otherwise no one will try.
Watch wortheffort.com chainsaw for beginners... always use the part closest to the machine, stay away from the end
Is this a satire video?
What's gisoline?😂

Good grief man, get a scale and weigh it already!
