    You have my respect for learning a new skill and handling the problem yourself instead of paying someone. Your lack of experience is no detriment. No one knows how to do everything. It's a willingness to learn that matters.

      I appreciate that. I actually just needed the one tree down that died due to the storm. The tree cutters were price gouging so I decided to take matters into my own hands. It was my 1st time using a chainsaw and my 1st time cutting down a tree. That thing weighed over 200 lbs and was right next to the house. I knew it was a risk but learned just enough to get it done without incident.

      @Real_Reviews Good! And now not only do you have the job done, you have a chain saw for your money that you wouldn't have had if you had just given that money to someone else.

    Good video but please read the instructions on how to really use it efficiently. The spikes are on the front of the saw for a good reason.

    Thanks for the review. I just bought this unit and its 2x heavier than the old craftsman I had. Im a weekend warrior , and I've been lax with safety, so some posters points are admittedly valid. This old house has a good video on how to properly use a chainsaw. One thing that surprised me was the density of that palm. Onward to cutting some white pines that fell in the last snow. Again..thanks for the video.

      Hi, and thank you for watching and for taking the time to leave a review. I know I am not the best with a chainsaw, and yes, that palm was crazy. But the tree guys wanted to charge me up to $800 to do what I did in the video. So I got that monster down and hauled away and came out without a scratch for just the price of the chainsaw, so I was happy. It was kinda fun, though.

    I think the reason it clogged is the tree looks really moist fiber wood.

    • @Real_Reviews
      @Real_Reviews  5 дней назад

      The tree was actually killed by a storm and had rotted inside. That really made it tough to cut and took too long to finish.

    Just bought this model but haven't used it yet. Also bought chainsaw helmet with visor and ear-muffs and I will be wearing safety boots. Safety first people especially for beginners like this guy! Buy your safety gear next time you use a chainsaw. Cannot afford to be complacent with what is the most dangerous power tool you can buy.

    Brother, you're lucky you didn't get your head knocked off when you pushed the tree over.
    And you shouldn't be sawing like you're using a hand saw because you'll eventually knock the chain off and you'll wear yourself out.
    You used the notch pretty good though and i can tell you did SOME research.
    I'm glad you and your Camara person survived.

    What kind of oil do you use

    • @Real_Reviews
      @Real_Reviews  9 месяцев назад

      You just need chainsaw oil. It actually comes with its first bottle. I did need to fill it once to get that whole tree done.

    Decent saw except!!!! The chain stops immediately when you take your finger off the trigger. NOT like gas that lets you withdraw saw from branch!! Chain has come off 6 times! Ill need a new sawing technique. Pia!!!

    • @Real_Reviews

      This saw definitely served its purpose, at least for my situation. I did not have any issues with the chain coming off. It just got clogged with debris several times. The good news was that it was easy to clean, and the self sharpening feature was really cool. Thanks for taking the time to comment.

      For small jobs and dry trees, it's good, but for larger projects, you probably want to get a good gas-powered model.

    • @Real_Reviews
      @Real_Reviews  Месяц назад

      @@zajcblaz Remember this is the 1st time I ever used a chainsaw and the palm tree was rottted and drenched inside. That made it really tough since the damp wood made the chainsaw constantly clog, plus the stench of the rotting wood was unbearable. But I got it done and saved myself $800 that companies wanted to charge me to do what I did. So it may have been painful for you to watch but it felt great to spend my $800 elsewhere.

      @Real_Reviews I'm no expert either. If I was I wouldn't be looking at electric chain saws. Seeing someone with a similar skill level to me is more useful than seeing an expert.
