He was holding up the bloodstained Bible, and it said that his mother gave it to him. Earlier, you heard him say that the dying preacher gave his bloodstained Bible to the hooker. You should listen to it again! Really good song!
Exactly, no offence but i think they missed the point of the song. The hooker hasn't finished her purpose on earth.
Yeah I don't think they got it.
Yes, and that’s why Randy was singing about the things those three had left behind them, but the hooker hadn’t left anything behind yet and was spared. She went on to have a son and read him the Bible and he grew up to be a preacher, so that’s what she left behind now.
soooo beautiful
Unfortunately they missed that
This song is a example of God's love and mercy! He spared the woman (hooker) from dying because she wasn't on the same path as the other three people! He gave her more time to get right! After she realized what happened in return she changed her life and focused on God ! She raised a child to follow God also in which he became a preacher ! God works in mysterious ways!
lol
@@MrAuskiwi101 Laugh Now Cry Later
Amen.
@@brianbrooks1285
Sorry Brian, but your imagination is not reality.
Please tell me if you would be concerned for your welfare if someone threatened you with their pixies on a flying pig? Thanks
@@MrAuskiwi101 why would you feel the compulsive need to put someone else beliefs down? You added nothing to the conversation except derision and division. I bet you think you are tolerant right?
Randy’s health situation is very bad now…he’s such a talented singer…I wish he was still able to perform. 😢
I always feel like his collab w Don Henley, More Time, is so overlooked. It was on Randy’s 25 CD and a beautiful song with a beautiful message. What guts me though is Randy performed on his CMT 25th Anniversary special and it was I think maybe 8-9wks later that he had the stroke🥺😔
What a gift this man has been to the world!!!❤️
I got to see him for free at Fidler’s Green in Denver CO. That was in 99’. I would have been 20.
I love seeing him on tiktok in such a good mood enjoying life even with the way his health is.
And it’s ‘More Life’.
Ima dork🤦♀️
He has certainly lived a very full life no matter!!!!
Yeah basically the preacher saved the hooker's soul, and she went on to raise her son as a Christian and he became a preacher. That's what happened more or less, with the significance being that she was evidently spared by divine intervention to carry the word of christ.
Not just the hooker, but her son too. Then the son went on to be a preacher and lead more to Christ. The death of that one preacher at just the right time, saved many many more people.
AMEN
Man I love life and god and music. What a good day
It’s very complicated to understand this song at first.
@@Ira88881 not to me.
What I love most about this song is that, for some, the hooker would've been the most expendable - but she was the one saved. Some might say it's because her son went on to be a preacher, but I always think of it as those other three (teacher, preacher & farmer), had already had a full life, and had done good works. Whereas, the hooker still needed to find her path. Beautiful song. Great reaction!
Randy Travis ranks right up there with George Strait. So many hits to listen to. He has several gospel albums but his country is deep too. My favorite country song is Promises and I can’t pick among the gospel songs but his acoustic version of Amazing Grace is solid
Alan Jackson is also amazing with gospel songs.
My sister was killed in 2006 in a 4 vehicle crash. She was the only one killed, and she would have been okay with it. I still can't hear this without crying.
My daughter died two years ago. She was the only one who died. I understand.
@@jefferymorgan5245 I am so sorry for your loss.
I'm sorry for your loss.
Thank you, Jeffrey.
@@michellehammock3023 thank you.
This song always brings tears to my eyes, the hooker was saved, in more ways than one, there is no one that is beyond redemption in the eyes of God. Remember Jesus preached amongst the hookers, taxcollectors, drunkards, and fighters. Sinners are the ones in need of salvation, and usually closer to God than they let on.
The timbre of his rich baritone voice is unparalleled. My favorite Randy Travis songs are Reasons I Cheat; Promises; Take Another Swing At Me; This is Me; Look Heart, No Hands; Spirit of a Boy, Wisdom of a Man; That’s Where I Draw the Line; I Told You So; The Box; He Walked On Water; Three Wooden Crosses; Hard Rock Bottom of Your Heart; It’s Just a Matter of Time; On the Other Hand; and Forever and Ever Amen.
Yeah, this one makes me tear up. So does "He Walked On Water", a song about a little boy's love for his great-grandfather. Country music is full of beautiful songs like this.
This song has such a powerful message to all of us. We gotta live our lives to the glory of God that is an inspiration and legacy to leave behind for the next generation.
Randy was my childhood favorite:) he has a lot of great hits. Little Big Town is another great band to check!!!
This is smart writing. The one person everyone overlooked, became the one God would ensure survived to pass on the faith. Really an incredible story set to music.
This song is heavy. "Forever and Ever, Amen", "If I Didn't Have You "," My Love Is Deeper than the Holler", "Whisper My Name" are my picks for reaction requests. 🤠🤠🤠💞💞
(All Randy Travis)
Randy is a living legend..I love all of his songs and his music
Randy brings tears to my eyes when you really listen to his songs
Randy Travis has an awesome voice!! And this is my favorite song of his. If you really want to cry, listen to Teddy Bear by Red Sovine!! That man could tell a story!! You guys are awesome!
All due respect, Asia, the reason you have that confused look at the end of the song is because ( during live streaming) you pay more attention to the comments during the song than the actual song. " Your eyes 👀 give you away every time"
Well put.
Thank you for keeping these fabulous older songs alive. Randy Travis was one of my favorites. Unfortunately his health issues have sidelined his career.
Randy Travis has such a beautiful voice it's too bad he can't sing anymore due to his health problems may God bless him always I hope God gives him back his voice someday a beautiful soul
In the song he stated the preacher held up the blood stained Bible that his mother left to him.
I remember in the year 2000 I was training to be an over the road 18 wheeler truck driver and traveling the whole country, it was unbelievable how many crosses I saw on the side of highways
Love this song and Randy...bless him.
Fore ever and ever amen is a good one by Randy Travis.
Randy travis and Keith whitley my 2 favorite country singers
RANDY TRAVIS IS FROM MY HOMETOWN….I still live here and see his brother from time to time
Saw Randy Travis & Alan Jackson in concert in the early 90’s… hands down one of the best concerts I’ve ever been to… their voices were so pristine ~ such a great memory ❤
This is one of the best songs I have ever heard.
When Randy burst on to the scene in the mid-80s all us "real" country fans were elated. For me he represents all the best in country music. He has so many great songs in his repertoire but one "story song" that gets over looked is "The Box".
I know every Randy Travis song without even realizing. My grama always played him. I now know why I know his songs...they are right to the heart songs💓I swear I love rap lol but listening to country takes me back...
I love BJ 's reaction to country music.... het gets it :} Love ya too Asia but I am a country girl and seeing reactions to people who know what a song means!
One of my favorites. Makes me fight back tears every time.
One of the best songs ever!!!
You guys should check out his duet with Carrie Underwood: I told you so. Written and performed by Travis before Carrie did it in her competition then I believe soon after they did the duet. Even better than him solo she hits the notes he couldn’t and he even said that’s why she makes it hers
The one on idol is the best one I feel
THANK YOU for getting it.So many reactors had a blank look on the face not from being moved but too dumb to understand how you broke it down.
Yall look Devine ! All dressed up BEAUTIFUL!! Love y’all 🙏❤️❤️
Please react to Josh Turner,,"long black train", similar message as this Randy Travis classic.🇨🇦💖🇺🇸😷
I just love the message in song. I luv how He works things. Seeing it has been a real blessing throughout my life.💓 Luv you guys together. You bring out good in each other & it comes across. Beautiful young'uns. Both of ya.🎵🤗 pleasure to have y'all keep me compny.
I am glad that you two are exploring country music, those individuals who say they don't like it have probably never listened to it.
Ihave the complete album Three wooden Crosses awesome powerful songs
Y’all… if you love those deep songs with a twist at the end, that highlight how amazing and beautiful people can be…
React to “Chain of Love” by Clay Walker. Oooh that one makes you go “wait… what?!?” and cry happy tears.
Okay well it did that to me, anyway. 🤷♀️🤣🥰
Some people are confused about the bus driver. But think about the shape of a bus, the driver is in the very front. Most people sit in the middle or back to get personal space. Also consider this subtle hint “The bus driver never saw the stop sign, and 18-wheelers can’t stop on a dime.” This hints two very important details. 1: it was a T-Bone accident, the driver would have had a better chance at surviving compared to the 4 passengers. 2: it hints the driver was alive to give a statement to first responders, and felt guilt for missing the stop sign. It’s a really powerful song with lots of detail if you listen for it
Randy Travis....a legend. His songs are always powerful
The song is about how the hooker's life was changed. She became a Christian who raised a good Christian man who was able to become a pastor and lead many to life. Great song!
My favorite Randy Travis song is He Walked on Water. ❤✌
Oh my goodness, we've lost y'all to country!! Country music strikes again! Just kidding. I was born and raised in Chicago and was moved to small town in central KY when I was 16 in 1981. Oddly, I developed an appreciation for country. Go figure. Might I suggest the artist John Prine. Pretty much anything by him, but my favorites are "Paradise" and "Sam Stone." Don't forget to keep on rockin though!
Thank you. Randy is another fave of mine.
Freakin' love Randy. Truly one of the greatest country singers ever. He has so many hits. So sad he lost his vocal due to stroke.
The surprise ending of the song is that the hooker didn't die.
But the unspoken assumption in the early part of the story is that all four of them had died.
And there were only three wooden crosses, because the hooker wasn't a Christian, and because her family didn't care enough about her to put up a cross for her, like the families of the preacher, teacher and farmer.
In the end, the preacher gave her his Bible as he was dying, she read it, and turned her life around and had a family, including a son who became a preacher.
One of my favorite songs
I love her outfits. She is amazing!!!
His voice is so nice. I could listen to.him all day
I love this song. Randy Travis singing puts gravy on it. Love that hat BJ.
Beautifull song and beautifull reaction🙏
I love how much you two listen to country music... I'm really depending on country for healing now.
This is a great song. It does make you think about what your legacy will be. The farmer and the teacher and the preacher all left something behind. Then when the hooker got the bible she read to her son and he became a preacher, so she actually left something well worth it behind also watching her son become a preacher. A very well thought out song and very well executed. Love your reactions.
Love watching every reaction from you guys. Much love from Georgia. God bless y’all.
You guys are my favorite Reaction Couple. Both y'all are looking GREAT! KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!!
What Randy Travis can do with low notes is sublime.
What a beautiful song 🎵
The world needs more of this and Les
Cardi B
You should hear It's a matter of time by Randy
I love y’all! Your outfits make me smile and laugh. I’m a born and raised Texan and the best thing about country music is dancing to it! ♥️
I like these songs that have a character that everybody judges as bad, but proves to be maybe the best of them.
One country singer, maybe Red Sovine, narrated a story about a local woman criticizing a 'bad ' girl, and what the bad girl did, to prove her character.
( warning-tearjerker)
Thank you for playing that song Three Crosses on the highway the preacher put the Bible in the hookers hand go back and listen to it again and listen for what I just said this song is my favorite of Randy Travis's
This is a song that tells us that no one is beyond the reach of God. As Christians we spread the Word not knowing how it may impact somebody’s life for Him. The simple gesture of handing a woman of ill repute a Bible led her to raising a son who would go on to leading others to Christ.
Speaking of the crosses, if you drive through Montana you will see metal crosses that the State puts up after a fatality.
It’s amazing how God can turn tragedy into good things. He will use the most unlikely people to carry out His will. Thy will be done.
Y’all great folk. God bless your family.
I know the story behind one of the crosses on the side of the road in my town. It belong to my brother in-law's younger brother. He got on his motorcycle after a late night of drinking at a bar, the road curved to the left but he want straight into the side of the mountain. RIP.... He was only a mile from his aunt's house
Lmfao, imagine pausing directly in the middle of a chorus.
I lost my aunt in a horrible car accident in 1980 and I was supposed to be in the car with her. This song hits me in a different way. Now I am responsible for her youngest granddaughter
What an amazing song.
Thank you for re-introducing Randy to a new generation
This IS a sad but moving song.
You two look sharp...love this song
I love, absolutely love old country music, I love SRV, I love old rap. But I love those for the instrumental and rythmic skill it takes to make them. But any truly great song connects with me on a personal and human level, not many genres even attempt to do that the way that country or rhythm and blues songs do.
I was typing it out as you said it, the preachers mom was the hooker who survived, was given the bloody bible who in turn raised the preacher mentioned in this song, they were both looking for lost souls on this trip to Mexico, but the preacher managed to reach and save one in his last moments in this crash.
Randy has a lot of good stuff...try "Walked on Water" or "No Hands"
This song makes me cry every single time. A wonderful story of redemption, not just for the sinner, but for those of us who judge them. At first we assume there are only three crosses because the hooker was "only" a hooker and no one cared that she died. But then it turns out, she didn't die. The preacher gave her his Bible, and she turned around, had a son, read the Bible to him, and he became the preacher who tells the story.
The story of Jesus Christ transforming lost folks. So true, so inspiring Psalms 3:3
This is an amazing song, and it does make you think 🙏💕
Love Randy. So sad he had a stroke and cannot perform like he used to. Would love to hear you react to If I Didn't Have You by Randy Travis. You would be one of the first to react to it.
he said when the wreck happened the preacher held a bloodstained bible then the preacher when was preaching his sermon he was holding that same bible
Randy Travis - Before You Kill Us All
I've seen so many of these reactions to this song and still can't understand why people don't get that the preacher at the end was the kid of the hooker. That's the selling point of the whole song!
😭 I love this song but I rarely listen because it makes me cry. But so very powerful ❤️❤️❤️
There's another great amazing song from the same album that this song came from. Listen to "When mama prayed."
This Saturday song is one of few that always get a year out of me
This song gets me every time. It's just the perfect example of how loving and forgiving God is. He wants everyone to make it to Heaven and rejoice with him. He took the three because they were ready to go. If he had taken the hooker then, she wouldn't have been ready. Granted, that's just an assumption as only God can truly know your heart, but the fact that he gave her a second chance pretty much tells us that. She went on to change her life and now she (and her son) can use her testimony to bring others to the Lord. Such an amazing song.
More country!!! Loved it
"God bless the farmer and the teacher and the preacher who gave this bible to my mama who read it to me"
That's some serious story telling their. Thank you for doing it.
you seem to like some country songs, you might try Billy joe shaver's song I'm gonna live for ever. He's from Texas too. Johnny cash had a song called why I wear black anyways Billy Joe wrote Green Gables and sang it to but Waylan Jennings made it a hit. Roy Orbison had some hits, Pretty Woman, Crying and Running Scared. Buddy Holly had some hits he wrote. Rave on and Peggy Sue. If you play them I hope you enjoy them.
I passed a bad wreck last week, come to find out it was my best friends cousin. The car was destroyed beyond recognition, they said he was dead before the fire
Y'all look great in your country outfits!! You should check out the version where Randy Travis sang this song with Josh Turner. You won't regret it.
Y'all should react to Brooks n Dunn Cowgirls Don't Cry ft Reba. They wrote this when Reba's daddy died.
Just a testament to the power of our loving savior. He gave that girl another chance and she made good on it. Now she can join the others in Heaven one day.
Wow!! You look great in your cowboy hat!! Very handsome ❤️😁❤️
This song gives tears in my eyes 😔
Even if only for your own listening, there are some country songs with a lot to say, and well said,-recorded by Hank Williams sr, under the name of Luke the Drifter, some teal tear-jerkers among them.
Pirates of the Mississippi: Feed Jake
Glad ya'll got it finally 🙌
