Correction, while technically the horsepower numbers you list are correct, they are limited to around 800 or 850. So they never actually produce more than that

Just wondering why the TBM 960 fuel burn rate is much higher than the 940 and 910? And if fuel burn rate matter in this instant, since they all have about the same fuel capacity of 292 gallon?
Pretty much all the parameter like power, range, fuel capacity, payload, altitude are the same or very similar. So what sets them apart?
With the ‘Home Safe’ system, does it automatically land at the nearest safe airport, or does it attempt to return to the nominated home airport? Kinda worries me that you might be nearing your intended destination, say 1500nM from home, have difficulty, and the plane tries to fly back all the way, on empty tanks.
The 'Home Safe' system is designed to automatically guide the aircraft towards a safe landing in the event of a pilot incapacitation. It is not intended to fly the aircraft all the way back to the home airport, but rather to guide it towards the nearest suitable airport for landing.

Single engines aircrafts are unsafe for an old pilot like me.
And yet, in the general aviation class, they have less accidents/incidents than the multi engine GA aircraft.....there you go
