  • Just trying out a new video style here - let me know in the comments if you guys find it somewhat entertaining!
In this episode, Julian and I see who is better with handling rubber - setting up the tubeless ready Michelin Power Cup tyres. Two clowns fumbling with the set up of tyres; it was a fun video to shoot. After that we head for a test ride where I share my thoughts on them. They have been impressive so far and I am really glad I'll get to be riding on them for the next year or two (until they wear out). They are currently on sale at retailers in Singapore so go get them quick!
A special thanks to Douglas from Michelin for making this video possible.

Perhaps you guys did this outside of the video: It's generally easier to mount a tire if you make sure the tire beads are in the center channel of the rim, and you create as much slack in the tire as possible by grabbing onto the opposite sides of the tire - with the valve stem at the 6 o'lock position - and pushing down. I haven't had to use any tire lever with this technique.

This is so funny. Also, use two levers like your friend. So much easier when you keep one of the beads off the rim permanently and then go around with the other one

you should get the tyre glider it makes it so much easier just tie the tyre and the rim using a ziptie and the tyre would go in easily

You guys got it all wrong for mounting the tubeless tire. You need a tubeless specific lever (check out schwalbe) where it has a click to sit on the rim. Use hand at first around the rim till the final segment, use 2 lever to sit and both left and right. Before using the 3rd lever to push the tire it, pinch the rest of the tire and make the hook on both side touch the Centre of the rim, do that around the rim except the final segment, this will make the final push of the remaining part alot easier.
