    Wonderful piece! Young people must understand that saving money is not enough. It's a good start, but given the way the economy is going, you have to do better. Investing that saved money is a must, but you must ensure you diversify your investments (locally and internationally). Of course, you have to be well informed about where you want to put your money. Made my first million this way earlier this year through something as casual as forex (got help though).Good luck!

    Funny enough, on my way to work today I was listening to the audio book for "The Richest Man in Babylon" and the part I listen to talked about the 7 steps to curing a lean wallet. What came to mind was that it started with 10 percent particular for you to master the discipline of doing it. On many occasions I tried starting with 50-60 percent but failed miserable because I hadn't mastered the art.

    Hello Mr. Tracy!
    First, i would like to thank you for your extraordinary help and guidance you keep publishing.
    I have that one conflict i am dealing for several years now. I hope you or the other readers can help me with that issue.
    How do i manage the balance between saving money and "living life to the fullest"? If i always keep saving my money and minimize my monthly living expenses, when is the right time to raise my living-standard and how do i decide how much it will be raised by? I can´t see the reason to have a million dollars in my personal financial-freedom account, yet living on 1000$ a month with minimal life quality or luxury.
    How do you handle this conflict? And when is it time to stop saving and start living from what i have saved?
    Thanks in advance!

    • @chetubc
      @chetubc 6 лет назад +3

      Hi Jonas,
      I do not know my comments would help you.
      But if I have the conflict that you said, below are the points I would iterate:
      1- first these savings are for rainy days, when you won't be getting your pay check any more but still you need to live. you can stop once you think whatever you have is enough for the remaining days of your life without getting paid.
      2- for this you have to set your goal and I believe my above point wil also help you in planing this goal.
      how much you want to set as goal is entirely dependent on what life style you would like to have.
      and again never think of luxury until you reach your goal.
      If your goal is reached but that is not enough for a luxurious like you think then you can set a higher goal or simply start saving more in order to enter the luxury life.
      And yes, when Mr.Tracy tells a financial freedom life that does means a luxury life but only if you save and reach your goal, not otherwise!!!
