Tom- this is exactly what I was looking for! I wake up at 3:50AM (I do a morning show) and I really believe if you win the morning you win the day! I will Be getting his book! Love your show and watch it every week!
I think being 'unreasonable' in Sharma's context is the only way to stop the downward spiral of the dominant culture. When I mention a 'downward spiral', people often react by pointing to wealth creation and technological advancement. While those are true points, they're tangential to the point of a downward spiral. How dense does one have to be to equate wealth creation with ideals like attainment of virtue and, perhaps more relevantly, with ideals like an active opposition to vice? I've been an unreasonable man since my mid-teen years. It's cost me plenty in this life. In the middle of the hardest moments of my life, I've questioned whether my unreasonableness has been 'worth it'. If 'worth' is defined by the dominant culture then, no, my stance has been in vain. But, if 'worth' is defined by the kind of person I want to be in the world, and by whether the things I stand for matter in the long run... then yes, the 'price' I've paid to take such a stand has been more than worth it. Frankly, the only people who seem to understand what I just described are those who've never attained 'success' as measured by the dominant culture; or, who have attained it, but have had the privilege to walk away from it before it killed them. Untapped human potential is amazing in its own right. What keeps it from manifesting more often than anything else -- at least in my life experience -- is how we selectively attend to that potential in the context of whether it's 'profitable' or whether it reflects favorably upon us per the criteria of the dominant culture. Think about it... we've got thousands of years of philosophical writings from some enormously capable minds, yet here we are, focused on wealth creation and success in the cultural sense while, for example, roughly 19,000 people around the world (age 18 and under) die *_every day_* from hunger and hunger-related complications. And this, when there's neither a shortage of food (America alone discards enough food to feed the entire planet's starving and malnourished population) nor a shortage of logistical capability to deliver that food where it needs to go. People often ask me, "Richard, who's going to pay for it", as if 'payment' was a necessary element in the equation. That's just one instance of how concerns over wealth/profit imposes murderous consequences on masses of people; there are several other 'big world problems' where this is also the main 'limiting factor'. Tom, it's a sad indictment against the wealthiest people and nations on the planet that such unnecessary loss of life is a fact today, in 2019, and that so many people have been indoctrinated into believing that such loss of life is a morally acceptable 'collateral damage' of evolution. Nature has a lot to teach us about how to live sustainable on the planet. In contrast, we obliterate vasts swaths of nature not out of necessity, but out of a mindset that sincerely believes that it's a necessity to do so. How many indigenous people have been murdered in the process of eradicating vast forests? Countless. And who cares that this is the case enough to actually stop it? Seemingly too few given the existing structure for voicing grievances. The 'reasonable man' looks around at the status quo and tries to play by the rules of the dominant culture. By those rules, we have environmental and human decimation. Yet so many aspire to 'win' at this 'game' of culture. Why? Terence McKenna is known for admonishing us that "culture is not your friend". And Derrick Jensen has laid out a compelling case that "civilization is not, and can never be, sustainable" in a talk he gave about his then-new book "Endgame". Who's paying attention to such admonition? Too few, if the status quo offers us any sort of compelling insight. Anyway, I've written enough for one comment. Hope you found something useful in it. Taking the time to share my thoughts is the least I could do as a token of my appreciation for your RUclips content. Love your channel. Thanks for offering your content freely.
"The reasonable man adapts himself to the world. The unreasonable one persists and adapts the world to himself. Therefore, all progress depends on the unreasonable man". This just blew my mind and woke me up at the same time ❤️
I was raised by a narcissistic mother; I broke the chain with my daughter. I raised her without beating her or berating her. She’s a thriving young woman who has passion, wisdom, a love for life and helping others. I’m grateful everyday I became conscious before having her. Otherwise, I’m sure I would’ve raised her exactly the way I was raised, because early on in my life, that’s all I knew. Thank you so much for Impact Theory and others like you, I start my day with a higher vibration daily because of you all. 🌹 *just got his book, I’m looking forward to it. 😊

Omg, hit me straight to the heart: "What terrifies you most, go directly there. Because discomfort is growth in its clothing." What the f...in. hell am I doing instead?
@Ariauna Durbin I had to think about this for a while. It's unreasonable for anyone to move one stone from one place to another. It goes for moving water, fire, and other forces of nature. But move enough of it, you start to change the landscape and then into something more. The "world" we live in comprises of the stories and empty truths we tell ourselves, are the reasons one stays in that kind of "world". It takes an unreasonable person to adapt their own "world" to themselves.
Be alone in a room with no music,tv or any distraction and see the truth, you will get the anwers and every genius who change the world was comfortable with being alone.
There's two quotes that knocked me back into my chair from Sharma: "The addiction to distraction is the death of creative production". Ever since can remember I have been distracted by something or someone. When I started eliminating the distractions from my Life, I saw creativity, little by little come back into focus. "We lose respect from the promises that we make to ourselves" I CANNOT express how much this is true. THIS quote to is the ass-end of not being disciplined. Doing the things your suppose to do, when you don't feel like doing them. And when you don't do those things, it hammers on your self esteem, self worth and reinforces who your trying to get away from. The fix for me? Doing the damn thing no matter how tired I am. If I half ass it, in which I have to be completely honest, I double up on that punk ass and regain consciousness!
But the good thing is that when you do fulfill the promises you made to yourself, that bruised and battered self-worth slowly begins to heal: one promise at a time.
Tom, you did a superb job of resisting the hypnosis of the rhetorical style. Knowing your aim of getting guests to move beyond their scripted presentations and into more authentic engagement, you tried valiantly.
Valerie Ellis Yes! That’s one of the reasons I follow him. He pays attention, doesn’t interrupt, stays present but does NOT get so sucked in as to forget his role as an investigator of the truth.

Really true. I noticed the world, school, college and my parents had killed my creativity. Go to school, get a good paying job they said...yeah well by 28 I was drinking almost 10 beers a night wondering why the hell I had given up on my dreams. I freaked out and completely redefined my life. Now I weld custom gates, shade structures, mine for crystals and incorporate those crystals into metal wood and crystal artwork on my jobs. It's been rough but I'm finally learning what makes me fulfilled, it sure wasn't the years and years of school work or the corporate job I had. Journaling for instance, 20/20/20 & so much more! I am grateful for finding your show and for finding out about Robyn Sharma! Thank you again!
Who dislikes the videos from Impact theory? Are you okay? Anyway, Thanks for bringing the Legendary Robin Sharma on the Show, We need more than 2 shows in South Africa
My son who is 7 said He wants to grow up and get a job. I told him today He could grow up and own a business. I aim to push my son to live and realize his dreams, not stifle them, because I too am going after my own dreams.
I've been meditating for a while now and it has increase my awareness. I always thought of myself as highly motivated person always grinding and what not, I'm still in the process of development (haven't reached my big goals yet) however every time I listen to such videos I'm always amazed at how much limiting beliefs I have unconsciously. However I'm working on them.. IT, keep on feeding our minds until we get results. Peace y'all ❤️🇿🇦
I think Tom's question, or suggestion about not knowing how to want...stems from a gripping fear inside us...of not being enough...and we insulate ourselves by not dreaming at all...to avoid the feeling of failure and broken dreams... I think if we can know within ourselves...our value has zero relevance to the things, and those achievements society programs us to believe make us more or less worthy. Your value is instriscally immoveable by the very miracle of your existence... The biggest journey for me was learning the fear of not being enough and not wanting to dream...was far worse than actual experience of being vunerable and putting myself out their and sometimes failing. Before that knowledge, I had to understand first though, the truth about my individual value . That was my journey from my self imposed defense of shame and worthiness by living in desperation permanently...to a living soul, that breathes and dreams and cherishes opportunities to take those risks, knowing failure is gonna be a probability, and certainty equally. I love your soul, its a furnace stoker for me.
The reasonable man adapts himself to the world. The unreasonable one persists in adapting the world to himself. Therefore, all progress depends on the unreasonable man. 🔥
I love all the content. thank you for inspiring us. I noticed some episodes likes this one, have a lower volume than others, so you can barely hear them while running.
Cool chat. First 20 : moving and exercising Second 20: reflection and planing Third 20: grow??? What he means by that ? What is he reffering to do? grow what? He means more planing like the second 20? Thanks for any clarification answers.
Tom I think your amazing. Please keep up the good work I watch these episodes all the time. I just started watching you wife. Love the energy you guys are putting out into the universe. I think you 2 content is just phenomenal. please extend these episodes their too short.
14:30 "People might throw stones at you, but you use them to build monuments of mastery." Right! Use their weapons to build your own fortress and make yourself stronger! A troll replied to my RUclips comment the other day accusing me of being lazy.....and he doesn't even know me! Needless to say, I was a bit irritated, but replied kindly to quell the fire. After watching this video, I learned that I should embrace the hateful comments because the more I am expose to it, the less sensitive I would become and fall victim to trolls.
What do you think of the concept of being "an unreasonable man/woman" (according to Robin's definition)?
Not following society’s norms and chasing the dream that makes you passionate and helps other people ✨

Love Robin Sharma he’s got such a great mind and you can tell he is incredibly well read and self aware.
That unreasonable quote at the beginning 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Thank you Tom Bilyeu for inviting Robin on this show.

This was a rehearsal of the 5AM Club. It's been a amazing journey since I started my 5AM routine. Thank you Mr Robin and Mr Tom
Who dislikes the videos from Impact theory? Are you okay?
Anyway, Thanks for bringing the Legendary Robin Sharma on the Show, We need more than 2 shows in South Africa
Guess it's someone who can't get out of bed at 5AM ;)
Tom I respect you for putting (First 60 Seconds) in the title. No bullshit & you don't try to scheme the viewers. We appreciate you.
An incredible interview 😍😍 This man is a genius 🙌🏼 So inspiring 👊🏻
My son who is 7 said He wants to grow up and get a job. I told him today He could grow up and own a business. I aim to push my son to live and realize his dreams, not stifle them, because I too am going after my own dreams.
Omg!!!! This is long over due...i cant explain how excited I am to for this episode...Read the 5 am club and about to go though it again!!!
Peace y'all ❤️🇿🇦
Thank you Tom for introducing us with great leaders 😀🙌
Robin’s guidance has improved my life and mentality greatly.
"Adapting the world to yourself" rather than adapting to the world. That's the spirit of a biohacker! How have you adapted your world?
Definitely on a quest to adapting the World to myself😁 Here’s to being an unreasonable woman!!🙌🏾🤗
Stay awesome 😁
I listen just to hear your introductions..Tom you are the MASTER of Introductions, truly.
The reasonable man adapts himself to the world. The unreasonable one persists in adapting the world to himself. Therefore, all progress depends on the unreasonable man. 🔥
Tom, you are a phenomenal listener and interviewer.
That's but a fantastic interview 🙏🏻 million thumbs up
I love all the content. thank you for inspiring us. I noticed some episodes likes this one, have a lower volume than others, so you can barely hear them while running.
You know this interview was really interesting when it felt like a 10min interview but 40 min had passed.... 5am club read too...
I am very pateint with human beings, I am very impateint in serving Humanity ... Gold interview !!
*Mix creativity and logic to unlock the wonders of the world!* 🔎
you are everywhere bro 😂💯
good to see at every learning platform
That's the way to go!
Cool chat.
First 20 : moving and exercising
Second 20: reflection and planing
Third 20: grow??? What he means by that ? What is he reffering to do? grow what? He means more planing like the second 20? Thanks for any clarification answers.
I believe being unreasoble is hardly unreasonable in this case. The term reasonable is subjective to your glass ceiling.
@The New Paulo Coelho shut up mangina
Tom I think your amazing. Please keep up the good work I watch these episodes all the time. I just started watching you wife. Love the energy you guys are putting out into the universe. I think you 2 content is just phenomenal. please extend these episodes their too short.

Incredible man Robin Sharma is this world needs more people like him
14:30 "People might throw stones at you, but you use them to build monuments of mastery."
Right!
Finally you brought one of my favourite people on my favourite show. Thanks Tom Bilyeu.
Need to sleep enough.... but also wake up at 5am?
Wow I’ve seen a lot of interviews of Robin Sharma and I have to say this is one of my favorites
Tom please bring Jordan Peterson on the show .
