The habit I want to install into my daily routine is studying hard and reading every single day. That'd be awesome.

@Tom Paupe i also have a lot of homework, but if you get it done early with a plan, you will succeed and your success will leave you with time for studying. it helps writing stuff down. plus think about it this way, homework is technically studying. its practice. doing homework is the same as studying although if it adds stress, it will counteract. so with a plan, everything will balance out :)

    The 7 steps
    1. Clearly describe a specific new habit
    2. Never allow exceptions (breaking the development phase of the new habit)
    3. Let others know about your goal (your new habit / behavior)
    4. Imagine / Visualize yourself doing / behaving that habit
    5. Create affirmation
    6. Persist until that habit becomes automatic
    7. Reward yourself (for the improvement you have)

As always, excellent, clear and to the point.
For the last 6 months I've been doing my hour of power every morning when I get home after taking the kids to school.
The habit I go through is, I go to my room, close the door.
For about 5 minutes I listen to 2 music tracks of inspirational music. No words just music.
I then watch a video. which I have spliced together from adverts of a car I will purchase. It gets me feeling I already have the car.
Then for 5 minutes I stand up, walk around my room saying out loud and with conviction 3 affirmations followed by my goal statement.
After 5 minutes. I have a journal at the side of me, so I write at the top of three pages the three affirmations. I then contemplate and write down any thoughts. which come into my mind about each affirmation.
After I've completed each affirmation on each page, I close the book, sit back and for 5 minutes, close my eyes and visualise me doing the 'whatever my goal in life is. And what the affirmations are' I see them as reality which then creates the feeling inside.
After 5 minutes I just let them go. I don't hold onto the thoughts and feelings, I simply let them go.
During the day I will automatically visualise again but for much shorter periods, simply when some free time pops up.
It works for me and it's creating success and a feeling of fulfillment.
Altogether the whole exercise takes about 45 minutes, but I just call it my 'hour of power' in case I add something later.
I took a lot of techniques Brian has taught over the years, especially from 'The Ultimate Goals Program'
    Brian is the best!

Also, I decided to read before I go to bed, educational books, even if 20 minutes I guess it is a habit now! Thank you Mr. Tracy for your effort to help me & others.

I never used a planner before and lived very stressful. one day I bought a planer, at first it was difficult to keep up with it but eventually I got better at it. I take at least 5 min everyday to note down what I have to do and what taks are more important. Since my plans are written down, I don't have to be thinking and stressing about them the following day or week. Find a planner that you think will help you stay organized without too much effort :)

Note: While I appreciate Brian's desire to support the formation of positive habits, there is recent research that indicates some of the information in this video actually works against your intention. Specifically, telling other people about your intention (you get an immediate sense of gratification that undermines your likelihood of doing that you intend), and giving yourself an external reward for performing the behaviour (when the reward is removed, your chances of maintaining the behaviour are reduced. What is important is to experience an inner reward from actually performing the behaviour.)

Your videos are really impressive. Each second of your video gives us the positive influence on our mind. I really want to ask one thing 'if we have chosen right priorities then also we all mostly not able to do the important tasks first whatever we do make plan in advance then also that plan don't get 100% executed, what we should do in that case?'.
    Thank You
