bro I died on purple side on repeat for about 30 minutes before I decided to watch your guide. That lil spot works perfect to get the tear and not get hit by the mobs. thanks for the tip. Just wish I would've watched it earlier.
Hopefully they dont do another like this in the future. It woulda made more sense to have this quest at least near a dungeon that is at least accessible to players right now. Mara is not even runnable currently.
thanks for the walkthrough!! What I am not liking about SoD 2 is that many of the runes are only realistically obtainable at 38-40, best done at 40. That means unless one raids, the runes are not really playable for the whole season. compare that to season 1 where the majority of the runes were playable for roughly 10 levels or more.
Good guide! I have some additional help. I did this at lvl 40, but I grabbed 2 swiftness potions before attempting this. If you do the orange side, run as normal, but once you see the orange entrance activate one swiftness potion. You should be able to reach the big orange pool where the basilisk following you should reset if you stand towards the end of the pool. From there I waited out the potion timer and then proceeded, activating another swiftness potion as soon as I hit the first two basilisk. I could easily outrun them and get to the crystal and collect it without dying once. The purple one is easier to get to and if you use your stoneclaw, earthbind and frost shocks wisely you can make it without dying as well.
CORRECTION: YOU DO NOT HAVE TO GO BACK TO ORG BEFORE YOU GET THE CRYSTALS, YOU CAN GO AND GRAB THEM WHILE YOUR IN DESOLACE WHEN YOU GET THE CORRUPTED TOTEM

I cant believe this quest made it past testing team 😭. I attempted the long way at first and after my 10th death i decided to look this guide up

They aren't designed to be gotten early for the most part. It feels bad if we try to rush them. But it's fun to figure out how while under leveled!

That is some good advice!! I never thought of using potions and all that myself, instead going for the corpse run strat lol.
