Just about any cover muse has done has either been so fundamentally different in tone and overall style that it's hard to compare to the original (feeling good) or a relatively faithful cover with typical muse flair ( please please please let me get what I want). Bad covers in my mind are things like 5 finger death punch taking The offspring's "gone away" and stripping it of every emotional nuance other than anger. It's a song about dealing with the loss of someone and the stages of grief, and while the words are still there in 5fdp, the orchestration and impact is void so it just feels cheap

This version is an excellent rendition that has not only emotion, energy and vibe, but meaning to it, in the way it portrays the regret and lament of the person of whom the song is about. Many contemporary musicians lack such an ability to interpret a song properly, and rely on energy and vibe alone. This is spot on.
