If I have to choose I would go for ceramic braces to have, but as you said it is a personal choice, I would like to thank you for that top video which you have been asked to produce, stay safe Dr Sarah.
Is there a reason why not one single video on RUclips when it comes to clear and metal brackets nothingness spoken about the comfort of them or or the comfort between one or the other? Regardless, if it’s comparing the two. I mean come on people we have metal crap in our mouth for up to two years, and nothing has talked about when it comes to the comfort, nor the desire to be comfortable for that matter.
@@SarahSadek1 i have had metal brackets as teen now at 27 im going to get braces again because they shifted slightly again. I choise metal because they are more affordable and i have heard that clear ones going to get coloured from coffee.
Just be objective about the way your face looks. Some people look good naturally with metal braces like Serena Williams, some people don’t, like Gwen Stefani and require a bit of extra effort to make the look work.
I was informed metal braces with headgear is cheaper and faster in some treatment plans? I was told I will be wearing my braces and hardware for the next 4 years!!! Is it common to start wearing headgear, coil springs and 4 class 2 rubber bands from day one??
The process to get them on is painless - about 4-6 hours later, you will start feeling tensions and eating is painful the first week in and whatever it has to be retighten.
Hi Sarah, What if some brackets of Ceramic braces got broken meanwhile eating , Will orthodontic again charge for new brackets to fix it , or some extra new brackets can be provided by same orthodontics without cost?
Hi Dr. Sadek, I am 25 and getting braces tomorrow. My ortho is offering ceremics for no extra charge but he said it will take two months longer than metal braces especially since I have some spacing and overbite (14 vs 16 months). Also I am reading that ceramics can be painful to remove and sometimes chip your teeth when coming off! Im really stuck because the idea of having metal braces at my age is not ideal. Any insight? Is it worth taking advantage of the deal or should I go with the tried and true metal braces? Thank you for any feedback!
@@saraherae1400 ill prefer going with ceramics since its my young college yrs where i'd be more of exposure with other peoples since i dont wanna be insecure of them looking at my braces
@aftermath7 I totally get that! It's been a huge adjustment. It helps that I work in the medical field and wear masks around my patients. Another thing to consider was that my bottom braces had to be metal, so might as well match 🤷♀️
@@saraherae1400 heh u too a med student? Same here that's exactly the reason since I need confidence while talking to patients during my clinicals. Did u got urself ceramic for upper and metallic for bottom??
So many options! Do the ceramic ones irritate the inside of the mouth less than the metal ones? This video was excellent! It’s so great to see the outcome after braces! Never hesitate- best decision ever! ❤️🤗🙏🤩
Thas a good question Bridget, I think the ceramic ones can irritate a bit more than the metal, but this can vary between manufacturers. The outcome makes it worth it in the end, thank you, you have lovely teeth ❤️🤗😊😍
Why can’t the wire be clear too😃
I didn't know that there was a difference between the two. Thanks 😊
Yes, it's quite subtle! Thanks Caroline 😊🤗
Me, one year into braces watching this: 👁👄👁
ur profile though😂😂😂
😂
I went for the invisible one because I just feel wierd having metal all over ur mouth so yea

Thanks Sue, you're right is really is personal, stay safe too 👍😊
Another super video Sarah. After giving it a lot of thought, I went for metal upper and lower and didn’t regret it at all.
Thanks so much Neil, and for sharing what you went for. A great choice 👍😊
I had these clear ceramic brackets! They are the best. Thanks Doc
Thanks Princeofzam! 😁🤗😊🙏
Are ceramic braces put on lower teeth as well? Or they use metal ones?

I’ve been told they don’t work as quick as the metal and you need to wear them longer if true how long more ? 😊
So brilliant mam , thank you so much for giving all kind of information about braces treatment.
I have choise getting metal brackets for second time
Good choice. Did you have a reason for going for metal again?

Good luck with it 👍
So I have ceramic on both my top and bottom teeth. Will I be ok?
Are clear brackets performed similar like metal demon brackets
Thanks ma'am
i really want clear braces but i’m so nervous of staining? is there any ways that can prevent staining or should i pick another option?
Your elastics get changed every few weeks so the staining disappears then. I'll post a video on what you can do to avoid staining 👍
what do you think? do you think metal or clear is better?

Hi Dr i am wearing traditional metal braces with coil springs and rubber bands with headgear and i love them!

Dr.Sarah, I go on Thursday to talk to Dr.Kathleen about my new retainer!! Need to get it done before the next round of the nasty virus!!
Ooh good luck Lisa!! And you're right, good idea to get it done before any new nasty round appears! 🤗❤️
