Magnic Light is the first contactless dynamo-powered bike light system that works without any additional components attached to the wheels. A tiny 60g-light unit will generate never-ending bright light without any batteries, without wheel-contact, without cables, and without any resistance.
I've just purchased a full set of these on your website. A pity I missed being able to support the kick starter campaign. Well done Dirk, some great innovation. And congratulations on actually getting up and making your ideas real. Very much looking forward to trying these out.

I think you need magnets inside your tires, right?
upd: I've got it. The magnets are inside the lamp, they rotate near the winding, that is inside the lamp as well. Magnets are moved by the wheel's spokes.

The other systems need heavy magnets fitted to the wheel. In cycling you always pay more for less weight.
this requires you putting an aluminum ring around your wheel

I'm sick of reminding my kids to recharge their bike lights, so this is definitely something I'll look at to worry less about them riding in the dark.

The Chinese did a very convenient copy for less than 15usd which with a small battery modification blinks much better than this superexpensive German creature, pretending for exclusiveness.
It is not first and not the last magnic light. You have it on ebay for the fraction of the price....sheers.
