This is genius! I'm puzzled how this patent didn't make it to some big manufacturers, it could be implemented into the frames, and have all the smart functions integrated into the bike. I wish you much greater success with this innovation, hopefully we'll see it spread around the cycling world!

Why did it take so long for you to get the product to backers???
There are several reasons for this: You can read the updates on the Kickstarter campaign page. Another update will follow in the next few days that will explain some more details. A major reason was the incredibly long time it took to achieve German Road Traffic Allowance (STVZO).

I love the stuff you do !
Awesome concept for the daily cyclist I am .
But if I may, one suggestion
1) Why didn't you put the projector below the generator, instead of aside ???
Cause the result would give the huge advantage, on every "low profile rim" (which remain common on a looot of bikes), to get the light visible for both side of the bike, although using just one module per wheel ! Ouyeah ! Light would be under the rim, so you see it from both side, bingo :-) (like on Reelight City product line, but their plastic retainer is just shit, like any plastic/rubber holder stuff on a bike....) .
In that way it could allow your product to be more affordable, because then you just need a set of just two (left) modules to fully cover a bike... Which can be about twice cheaper for the customer compared to the 4 modules you currently need in order to have light on each side of the bike (just one side enlightened is not safe and it does not comply with law for most countries) . Of course you get half money for each set you sold obviously (2modules versus 4), but in the same time some customers will never put 125€ for a light set if the ratio price/solidity/power is seen unfavorable, however they could consider it for 65€ (not all of them of course, but some for sure) .
Well, to be honest 125€ is the price of a dynamo-hub based wheel, with front and rear light included (not the lightest models, nor the more powerfull leds on the market, but it will produce enough light to ride about 15km/h to 20km/h safely, even in dark night without public lighting) . It is "bombproof" for the generator part and can run for thousands of kilometers without fail, offering high power and reliable ligthing (100lux if you have the money...) . Of course your product for the same price is much much more lighter, weight is just largely lower, and that's excellent, really :-) . For this price you get about same light power, but, the price of the lux for dynamo-lights decreases constantly (so, I know when my front dynamo light will break after an unfortunate hit/shot, the replacement unit will be more powerfull for the price the previous was, some 40lux are now under 30€...) . Same break will happen to your product after various delay, no doubt about that, he will take hits and then one day break apart, this is life ^_^ . Anyway this is some sort of dilemma :-/ Would I pay 125€ for a "to be seen" lighting system that can't really be upgraded ? (in the meaning to get it more powerfull) . Tipically, I won't :-/ . But for 65€, I will accept (and others too imho) to be "seen only" (city use), because lifespan of the product is large enough for the price, and it is liteweight :-) . This price of 65€ seems "fair" to me, but for 125€ I would keep prefering a dynamo hub (heavier of course but the lighting power is higher too, a 100lux can be installed potentially...) .
No misunderstanding however, your prodcut can be a revolution in bike lighting systems for sure, I'm conviced of that . It is an excellent concept, holding the light and the generator on the brake pad is great idea :-) . The fact you can use any wheel to power it, without any friction, and for really small weight is awesome . In comparaison a dynamo-hub (altough more powerful) is heavy and if you break your dynamo-wheel it won't be cheap to repair/change to restore the light system, your product is less powerful indeed but if you break your wheel you can put any replacement one, the cheapest wheel you find if you want, that's an excellent point . Then for example on a sport bike your product is definitely great, it adds only small weight and you don't need to change any part, moreover those bikes are also often treated carefully, often sleep in a garage, etc, then solidity of the ligthing stuff is not critical . But for an utility bike who takes hits and hits and hits I would be more doubtful :-/
So would you please consider for the next generation to put the projector under the generator ? Because with this (small) design change you can compete imho the utility bike market (which is much bigger than sport segment...) by dividing the price (less parts, less cost for customer) . And those who need/want the direction changing feature (4 modules needed of course in that case) can continue to get it as far as you sell it :-) .
Oh and just one last thing : just please forget (and for ever ! please...) any plastic bracket holder (hub brake version of the microlight) for your products, they deserve better than that, really ... Plastic holders are really shit (and I stay polite), one or two hits will easily break them apart, on a utility bike it is just NOT possible AT ALL . I know a metal holder solution will raise the price the customer will pay, but the lifespan would be uncomparable, any experienced daily cyclist know that, so they will never put any money (or just one time but not two...) on some fragile platic holder stuff ... Your product is great, just don't ruin it because of unecessary fragile plastic parts, keep plastic for the things you can't do otherwise (electric insulation typically, but not for holding exposed stuff, this is a basic rule on any bike...) . Plastic holder is tolerable for a cheap crapy lighting system of a few euros, but NOT for those who cost more than 100€ ...
