- April 13, 2020 : Wanted to say thank you to all the supporters. I made this video right before I moved to LA from Baltimore (5 years ago). I share the same memory as some of you; this song and Frank remind me of my Grandad and Dad. I was raised on FS. I love his music dearly. Thank you guys for the sweetness. Love to you all Xx.

This was the "flip side" of a 45 rpm record from the '60s sung by Frank Sinatra. I grew up in an Italian American neighborhood in Williamsburg, I'm still there. This became a theme song for my group of friends. Long story. Was sung at bachelor parties, weddings, later family/friends reunions and birthdays. By the '60s Sinatra was the parents' music but I always thought it was "folk" music for Italian Americans of a certain age. For us baby boomers who are at least part Italian, that is what he has become in later years. The lyrics have power. Never give up. I don't like the ending, like it when the ending is "and fly," but I'm over 60 now. I love it that a new, young singer reinterprets it for today and the song still retains the same verve and power. Lauren can sing. Great version. Thanks for posting!
