Taika is effectively picking up where Mel Brooks left off. Well done.
Well said.
He is the heir apparent to MONTY PYTHON if this keeps up...
this film just took top prize at TIFF. this means it's a major oscar contender now. Taika is probably a lock for direcdtor nom, adapted screenplay looks good too, nomination for the kid as well
Roman and Taika matching in their outfits a little bit is so cute
I loved the movie so much. That ending is incredible!!
Best ending ever. I felt happy yet the tears were rolling down. Beautiful.
This film looks awesome! Can’t wait to see this.
Sam Rockwell's suit game is strong
Each of these actors shine brilliantly in their respective roles in the movie. Taika has made an excellent film. Loved watching this movie, can't stop thinking about it.
I felt so sad when Jojo were asking Elsa about what their people are like, how Elsa would first talk about her thoughts but then Jojo doesnt believe her. It happened to me so many times when I was trying to answer questions from people who asked me about my country, and I would say it but they just believe in the stereotypes and prejudice... and then it just gets worst from there. But imagine how lost and confused Jojo must be, in between two groups of people from the opposite sides, two different stories. Laughed so hard in the beginning and cried so hard at the end, can't believe some of the things in the movie are still being experienced by people right now around the world. Hope things gets better and love love love love the movie!
I'm showing this movie to my high school students right now and we are laughing and crying together.... wonderful and impactful end to our school year. I love how they understand how amazing this film is.
I feel that young people should be exposed to these kinds of truths' as it teaches appreciation and builds awareness and dispenses with any illusion of false entitlement.
There are many other movies out there that showcase that freedom is indeed not free. A must watch for your next class,
Band of Brothers, Schindler's List.
Sam Rockwell looks 20 years younger than his actual age. He also got a perfect hairline with 50?! God I love this guy.
What a great bunch of people Taika brought together for this gem of a film.
Stephen is a fooking giant
I know, it’s like he’s sitting two metres closer than everybody else on stage.
Faultty no, he is just really tall
Lanky co-writer.
It's a normal height in the Netherlands !
Martijn Vv ehm no but ok
Thomasin is so beautiful
I love how he had a special, insightful question for each person, what a good interviewer
Roman is cute :) He's going to go far. Very talented
I LOVE Taika Waititi's sense of humor, the sweet boy who starrred in the movie, LOL at Merchant's and Rockwell's comments, etc. Great interview---thanks!
my favourite bit of this movie is when he's trying to get jojo to heil him and he just gets kicked out a window
UntoldTruth. The way he just says “f**k off hitler’ gets me every time 😂😂
“Heil me, man!”😂😂😂😂
Go heil yourself
Saw the movie a few days ago! Definitely one of the best movies I’ve seen in a long time!
I've only seen trailers obviously, but if I had to guess who Taika modelled his Hitler voice on, it was probably Viago Von Dorna Schmarten Scheden Heimburg (né von Blitzenberg).
The whole group have such a wonderful dynamic. Props to the interviewer as well
I didn't realise it was Sam as the German officer, great job. Stephen is a great comedy actor. Just watching him on extras, hilarious.
This is an awesome movie and great interview. I was really astonished to see roman doing so great in the movie as well as Thomasin. These two have done a great team work and made the movie really awesome. Thank you all :)
7:00 True story: I'm watching this AMAZING film (floored throughout - one of my favorite films of all time now) and I truly didn't know who the director was (and had never heard of him before) and when this amazing actor comes on the screen playing Hitler (the way he is played in this film) I genuinely actually said to myself "my God, to thread the needle and… I don't know how much casting they had to do - must've been worldwide - to find exactly the right person to play Hitler exactly this way - absolutely brilliant casting!"… Then after the film and practically in tears when I discovered that the director who created this amazing film also played Adolf Hitler IN this very film! Absolutely astounding!!!
They all knocked this film out of the park it was freakin awesome 😎
“How are people blind? Just see!”
-taika basically ahahahaha
All these amazing actors and actresses deserve an Oscar! They all nailed their lines! And accents! Amazing!
I considered watching this because of Taika, but then I saw Stephen Merchant in the thumbnail, and I was like, “Yes!”
Roman looking around at the set! He’s so impressed I can’t!!
Knock knock. Who's there? Cabbage. Cabbage who? Just a big head of cabbage... blocking the door... and now you have to eat your way out..." - Taika Waititi TED Talk
Stephan Merchant was absolutely terrifying in Jojo Rabbit I loved it
Oh boy..It looks like Taika, Stephen and Sam are absolutely blazed! It's like they don't even know where they are!!
I love watching them in these. Absolute children. I don't know what I was expecting.
Scarlet Johanssen deserves an oscar nomination for this movie for sure! She was the heart and soul of the movie.😍
I imagine the guys that give this man millions to make a movie sweating bullets but in the end always work out.
I just bought Jojo Rabbit. So incredibly brilliant. Thank you. During these ugly maga trump times, I needed this. I finished Hunting for the Wilderpeople before finding lots of interviews that introduced Jojo Rabbit. This is a magnificent day watching two masterpieces. You are so appreciated Taika Waititi🎉🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤❤
