Thank you, I have been searching for days as to what kind of connector can plug into the DC power supply. The manual says it is an XT60, so thanks for clarifying it is an XT90.
Skyrc chargers are great value. A lot of functionalities for a fair price. The LiPo storage function is so useful. When you don't use the battery for a while you just charge them choosing the storage mode and it will bring every cell to 3.8 volts. If they are higher it will discharge them. FYI Pb is Lead Acid batteries. You can charge the battery of your car if it's flat with that charger, quite cool.
Hey Vas I'm quite impressed with the power output of this charger. I would imagine that you can charge a 6S battery in 30 to 45 minutes. The SkyRC brand is really good. I have the 4-way output charger of this brand - it's fantastic, so I can charge 4 batteries at once - I mainly use 2200mah 3S at the moment and I can do 4 batteries at once in 45 min. Will definitely take a look at this for my up coming 6S battery purchase that I will be using on my Heli.
Wow, I was just looking at the D250 this week, nice review! Most at my rc club have a Skyrc charger (D100) so they must be pretty good. 400W is a bit overkill for me, but for parallel charging this would be perfect.
Can you charge over the balance board only at a lower charge amp? I have a 7s li ion pack and it needs it cells re balanced charged? 7s is btw needed for e bike batterys
Hi there, the owner of my local hobby shop was showing me one of these chargers today. It looks great. I'm looking to replace my old Bantam charger that I've had now for 18 years. Would you recommend this charger? Thank you.
What the max would be is even better for a video. Most chargers can't charge 2x 6s 5000mah with 5ah per channel, they give 4.2ah per channel. Needing an extra power supply is the next step.
Has the charger got TVC terminal voltage cutoff and if so will it be saved in battery memory setup i have the UP 240 duo witch is a similar charger and has TVC but when i change the TVC to 4.33v per cell under HV and when I unplug from main it wipes the storage 4.33V back to default 4.35V this give me the shits, any info will be much appreciated. Thanks
+Boosted Rc's The charger finishing at the end is a bit of movie magic. ;) The 10SC running video will be up later this week. Thanks for watching buddy. :)
+Rakesh Raut Yes, I have that same charger (or one just like it) but that charger won't charge at 20amps, or 7S, or HV batteries, or charge DJI batteries either. ;)
Do you know how to turn off the safety timer and max mah? My current charger wont turn it off so im looking into a different one this might be good if you can turn it off
Mayhem RC As he stated,it can only draw so much amperage per channel so I doubt it. If you are running 6c and want to charge 4 I highly doubt you could find anything on the market capable of handling 4 batterys. The manufacter supplied two ports for two batterys,I wouldnt push it beyond that.
Well I bought one... To rcmart, arrived, plugged and after 3 seconds alarm error connection... And a burned smell... Rcmart said to send it back... They fix then I repay for shipping to get it back... I m from Luxembourg sending stuff from here is expensive. I paid around 190 for the charger... Just to send to them 130... So imagine they say it was my fault and not a factory problem... I will have to pay for repair, and shipping back to me... Let's just say big BS from RCmart and bad luck for me, but I also have to say BS SKYRC cause new out of the box this happens... And no, I m 35+ years in to rc so no I did nothing stupid with it. Very unhappy and nobody is able to repair it 🙁. Had to go back to my old brands... So sad when you try a "new" for me brand.. Well I prefer Hitec definitely
This looks like the older Dynamite Duo with the way the screen is, but i have the newer one with the touch screen Old www.horizonhobby.com/product/storefronts/horizon-hobby-best-brands/dynamite-brand/passport-duo-400w-dual-ac-dc-charger-dyn4300 New www.horizonhobby.com/passport-duo-400w-dual-ac-dc-touch-charger-p-dync3005 Both are nice chargers
Both seem to be of about the same quality, my Thunder AC680 is almost 4 years old and still kicking if that tells you anything, the Hitec just has a few more features and obviously the capability of charging 2 batteries at once, and higher output. The "cheap" chargers that are based on the same design as the SkyRC B6AC are actually pretty good chargers, they are so good in fact that there are companies that make clones of the SkyRC B6AC. Steven Gilbert the Dynamite charger may look similar, but it was not the same. It could only charge up to 10amps and it didn't have LiHV or DJI charging capabilities. Aside from being a dual charger like this one, it had nothing else in common. So not the same.
Aussie RC Playground the newer version does the lihv now but still at 10 amps. What do you mean by dji charging? Since I don't have a dji Idk how it's diff
The fact its duo makes a big different. I am sure you can request the proper plug for your charger when ordering. Watch for a box to check concerning that when ordering. I would like to see the inside of that charger. Why? I would like to see the quality of soldering job on the boards as well as any bodges they may have done to correct any issues in production as well as woring and components used. Now days,I have seen terrible work being done on electronics, even electronics we use to work on electronics. Usually there is nothing inside an electronic device most people are capable of understanding. Most chargers all work about the same. Didnt sound like you have an in depth understanding of how this unit does. I would like to know how well each side is protected from the other concerning shorting issues. Were there any breakers or fuses externally to reset or replace should something go off? Seriously,it is an electronic unit,it should posess some kind of protection should a short occur. I may buy one just to tear it down. You really didnt cover much.
RC Hobbyist Extreme I use this as charger, and as a charger, it should charge my batteries accordingly. I covered its features and explained its functions to the best of my ability and knowledge, this is what this video was about. I made it as such to show those in the hobby who may be looking for a new charger what it can do and how it works. The video was never intended to be complicated, it was made to be simple and to cater for all based on the lowest common denominator. Plus, I’m not going tear this unit down and pretend I know what I’m looking at. Bruce at RC Model Reviews can do the tear down if he gets one himself, he would most likely understand the insides of this unit due to his past experiences and academic education. I, on the other hand, don’t have a engineering or electrical degree of any kind to do that, I would just make a fool of myself. And if you’re so keen to know what the guts of this charger look like, there’s a link in the description, click on it and buy one for yourself. Then you can tear it to bits all you want and poke at it until your satisfied. And maybe you can be the one that teaches me what to look out for in the future in units such as this.

Great review, I have 2 of these to charge my 4s for my X-Maxx working excellent.

The little song it plays after it's checked the battery made me crack up for some reason.

My SkyRC chargers have a holigraphic sticker on the back to prove they are genuine. This one doesn't have that sticker. Is it a genuine SkyRC?
Chris Crooks
The sticker is clearly visible at 5:28. So yes, it’s a genuine SkyRC charger.
Synroniced mode is that you set one side up and the second mirrors it
Thanks Vas. I ordered one after your recommendation on messenger the other day.
Mate, just want to say thank you.
My charger turned up and its a beast.
Love it.

Battery internal resistance (value in ohms) is very important value determining battery life.

Yes, definitely recommend it, it's been flawless since I got it. You won't regret it. :)

Love my b6 ,so this will be my next one.
any plans to do more videos on the JLBs?? considering that 120amp upgrade version
Hey mate ,I am looking for a high capacity charger ,can you do a long term test report?
Any review coming up for this charger? Thanks in advance :)
Pb is a lead acid battery. Like a golf cart or car battery.
Perfect timing for the battery to finish . Hahaha ... when’s the 10sc running video going to come . Might buy one 😄

Aussie RC Playground lol thanks for making such awesome videos and honest reviews
+Boosted Rc's You're welcome. 👍🏼😊
Do you still use this charger or did you upgrade to another one? Looking for a new charger, curious how you like it after 3 years?
Love it! Best charger I've ever used. And yes, still have it and use it all the time. 100% recommended. 👍😊
Hello, I just recieved this charger and it came with firmware 1.06 .I downgraded to 1.04 now I can’t find the firmware 1.06 Can you link ?
Nice review! I use the sky rc S60 charger which I got for $50 and it has most of the functions that this 400w has expect dual charging and DC output.
+Rakesh Raut
Yes, I have that same charger (or one just like it) but that charger won't charge at 20amps, or 7S, or HV batteries, or charge DJI batteries either. ;)
Aussie RC Playground yes of course but apparently mine has LiHV which I never use it anyways.
+Rakesh Raut Oh, that's cool. My old one doesn't have that, so it's good to see the newer versions coming out with it.
Aussie RC Playground Yes.
Sick review vas that charger is a tank man 💪
+Robert Kotevski Thanks Rob. :)
The iChargers are awesome chargers too Vas. Worth checking out if you get the chance :)
+Sharkfat Do you have a link to them?
It only displays 6 cells on the display, what happens with a 7 cell LiPo?
Do you know how to turn off the safety timer and max mah? My current charger wont turn it off so im looking into a different one this might be good if you can turn it off
I don't know about turning it off, but you can adjust it. So maybe that will do the trick for you...?
Nice video. Pb is Lead Batt... ;)
Gonna get one thanks
it works just like my venom charger
The more i look into these balance chargers the more complicated it gets :(
Thanks for the review
how fast can you charge a 5500mah 6s lipo?
They all charge the same way no matter the charger
It's quite merciful you can turn off the beeps and buzzes, they were loud enough I almost ruled it out of purchasing
Will it charge two 4s lipos at the same time?
+Mayhem RC Yes, it can do up to 7S each channel at the same time.
I said 2 batteries not 4. 2 4s lipos. He answered my question.
How much was this one in 2017?
3 bucks bro, yes just $3 bucks
PB battery is the battery in your car.

A lot of chargers use that same setup. My Thunder AC680, Thunder AC6 and my Hitec X2 400 all have the exact same display and button layout.
can you tell a difference in quality? or are they all the same to you?
