QFD- Quality Function Deployment.
Can be used in both manufacturing and service industries.
What it does ?
While designing a product , Customers expectations towards that product are noted ,expectations are valued according to priority . Customers expectations are related to technical specifications . And correlations between each technical specifications is found.
Most important technical specifications is found , by relating it with expectations.
QFD is done by matrix called House of quality.
QFD has four phases.
1. Product planning
2. Component Design
3.Process planning
4.Process /Quality control
