Hi Mehul. They would basically use their experience and research to come up with the quantity of a component required for the product. The intent is for them to use as much data as possible to come up with values as accurate as possible. They could use methods like Uncertain Programming. @@MisterSimplify thank you so much for the time being answering my doubt, but I have one more to go.....I got an assignment from my college, they say that we need to select an engineered product and make a DFMEA on it. The product I select is revolving desk chair now Im totally confused how do do the "basement of HOQ". I hope you understood me and resolve my query whenever you have time. Thanks 👍🏽

Excellent! This is exactly why this channel was created. I am also glad you liked my simple creativity in slides, without any moving cartoons or over-the-top visuals. I like to keep the focus on the content. All the best! 🙂👍
hello, as you mentioned in the video, the values in the bottom section (starting from 11:00) are not used in the house of quality, but will be used in "level two", may I know what level two entails? Is there an example where the technical values in the bottom part are calculated in the overall importance value? thank you so much for your video
Hello! House of Quality is a part of Level 1 QFD. There can be 4 levels. Level 2 QFD is used for Product Design. I intended to produce a tutorial on this. I will now add it to my pipeline for you, and will let you know when it's ready. Sorry, there isn't an example wherein the bottom values are actually calculated. We are assuming the project/process management role here, and this will need to be provided after extensive market research by the R&D or Engineering teams in most organisations. Hope this helps!
Hello. I got a question for the competition analysis in the right hand side of the house. If I have to improve/ redesign a current test rig (Maybe it's only used in the requested company, no other companies might use this method), does it mean that I can just ignore the competitor analysis?
@@MisterSimplify Thank you very much! I got a final question. If I use QFD from the product development stage to the process quality control. Can we just ignore the competitive analysis bits again because we are now converging to design and manufacture the product.
Hi Suman. One can use other representative numbers, so long as this is stated in the reports that accompany the model. But 0, 3 and 9 are most widely accepted as the standard.
Thank you for your recommendation. I will add these concepts to my pipeline. These are broad concepts. I could either introduce them or cover certain concepts which could help a learner's journey. 👍👍
We basically look at the inter-relationship between individual product attributes. " attributes are compared at one time. If the 2 attributes support each other, we put a +, and a ++ implies a high magnitude of support. A - implies opposition, and 0 implies a neutral relationship. Hope this makes sense.
still not get the basement of house?? how do we get that values or how engineering team calculated those values???

you just put an entire semester of my masters degree in one video and explained it in 12 minutes better than a professor in 32 hours
That's very kind of you! I am glad that you found it useful. Please do spread the word and share this content! 😊👍
It's just a one question in our course
Very good explanation and demonstration. I have not ever seen this much clarity in other's videos regarding QFD. Well done. Thanks and regards🌹

You just saved me. I understood better than in class

A lot of creativity here. My first video on HOQ and I clearly got the concept one-touch. Grateful, Man!

I need clarification on how the basement works, especially calculations
Hi Elton. I've provided some clarification on another comment below. Please check that out. Hope that will help. 👍
@@MisterSimplify it's okay, thanks
I got the solution
Thank You Sir 🙏
You're welcome Veer! 🙂
Do you have concrete examples of the application of QFD in real companies?
Hello! That's not easy to obtain, as organisations tend to not share this type of information.
Thank you ever so much!!
You're most welcome! 🙂
Can you please explain how you got 204 as sum of importance weights?
Hi Hasnain. If you add the values of the individual importance weights, you get 204.
Very useful information sir
Glad I could help! 🙂

Hello! Yes that's correct. If it's niche enough to only be used in the current company, we won't have any data for a competitive analysis

How we can do the remaining levels
Level 2,3 and 4
Hello! Those will require their own standalone videos. I am thinking about making them in the near future.
Thank you so much

Very well simplified explanation. Hope to have the complete series of QFD. Thanks!

The full house doea not contain importance and relative weightage? Why
Hello! It should. I've just not included it in the full house graphic at the end to keep it tidier. But the full graphic at the start does have it. 🙂
Great explanation 👏🏻

thanks bhaiya
