Coming from someone who is mixed and has 3a hair naturally one thing about most people with really loose texture curls our hair comes out at the root silky straight or wavy and curls as it goes down. You can see the kinks and curls at the scalp of her hair and tell her texture isn’t naturally like that.

Gel is drying, putting leave in conditioner will help locking in more moisture. Or else with just gel it’ll be crunchier and drier
