I loved the headscarf look. Sooooo Queen Elizabeth. Still can't believe she's gone. But seriously Mel, you have thee perfect face shape for hair. Whatever you do, it looks Gerrreat.....😍
The secret to your success is you. Really appreciate how real you are. My trick for tighter necklines after doing my hair is throwing a satin scarf over my head... I'm keeping this one in the books as I'll be having a haircut soon.
Hi Mel ! I just cut my hair into a curly bob last week and I wanted to know if you could do a video of hairstyles for short curly hair ! Love all your videos they are really helping me because I'm at the start of my journey at 26 years old ! X
I've realized that I can only do every 3rd day, 3rd day is when my scalp starts to itch a little bit and any further is a big no, no. lol I only apply leave-in conditioner for now until I find a product for bouncy long curls and shiny. Oh! by the way you had helped me in my journey for my curls. As an Hispanic Male I love my curls and I had been using ladies products and it helps so much with my curls than the men's products. like they said everybody body's, hair is different. ty so much.
That cat in hat scene had me rolling! I just did this look my last wash day on my long wavy hair! I used the kinky curly curling custard since its super moisturizing and gives a cast. I can also break it for a softer look. I used the leave in plus argan oil before the gel then smoothed a serum over everything once dried. I also styled on soaking wet hair or my waves do look a little stringy with the amount of product I put and I just microplop and hover diffuse the roots and lengths for more of an elongated style.
After watching one of your product reviews, it encouraged me to ask my stylist at Juut about nutri-plenish. I've been very curious about it since it came out but didn't think it was good for curly hair. Now I have the leave-in conditioner and I love it! I use Aveda Be Curly gel and their phomollient. I have the curl prep which I didn't think would do me any good, but I'm gonna try it again. I have Ouidad heat and humidity gel for all curl types (mine has a white label) but I didn't realize it's actually better in humid areas. I rarely use it so now I know to only use it when it's humid in Minnesota.
Thank you so so much for doing this video, I have been dying to try your wet look out and now feel more confident in giving it a try! 1. What types of gels would you recommend not using for this look? 2. Is the AG Care Liquid Effects okay? 3. I love your lip color!! Is it one of Charlotte Tilbury’s new pink shades? It looks like her shade 90s pink!!
Thank-you mell I love your videos❤ I was wondering, would you do a video on east hairstyles for shorter hair? I’m just starting my hair journey and a little bit self conscious about wearing my hair curly after straightening it for so long. Thanks! ❤
You’re my curly hair inspiration! ❤❤❤ I want to try this look but I think my hair might be too long for it tho :/ The ouidad advance climate control gel is fav!!!! I’ve gone to so many bottles of that gel, I also love the detangling spray, it has truly changed my hair routine. Ouidad can be pricey, would you consider doing a review on Mel approved drugstore products?
Mell, where did you get that awesome gold-ish silk scarf you show us in the video? I use silk/satin pillowcases, but I’ve been looking for a good silk scarf forever. Btw, you’re amazing, and thank you SO much for your content. :)
I love your channel! All of you videos are awesome! I love embracing my curly hair now that I know how to take care of it, so thank you! Also, I always thought of cats as women too I don’t know why😂 and all dogs as boys
Would people recommend using a diffuser for my wavy/curly hair because my curls always look so good when it is wet/damp after using products but then once i air dry the front sections go straight and I only have the curls at the bottom/underneath.
Hey Mel i haven't been to a salon in years, but ive sworn off bleach due to surviving some bleach hair disasters! Do you know how i can lighten my hair at home without bleach and without box dye? Looking for some professional advice
Hey, Mel ❤ any tips/tricks to avoid/prevent/STOP shrinkage 🥲 my hair is down past the middle of my back but once dry it shrinks up past my shoulders 😭😭 HELP PLEASE
Mel, I have a product that I would like you and your seester try out for us wavy and curly girls. It is an all natural shampoo bar and conditioner bar from a company called “Earthling” It claims that it moisturizes and eliminates frizz. I am tempted to try them , but hesitant because I have thick wavy/ curly hair and don’t know if a shampoo bar could really give is curly girls a good hair day. I would love to see a try and review!
Hey Mel. I have a question please. I recently had a big chop because I went through a phase do straightening my hair last year which I totally regret. Now my hair is shorter which I know will take time to regrow but I still have heat damage and straight pieces that can’t be cut because of where they are situated. So how do or what should I do in order to help the curls come back? Literally those straight pieces are not responding to any finger curling do scrunching. I deep condition each week but I really don’t know what to do. HELP! Please x
I always put my silk sleep cap thing on inside out because… the outside is silkier than the inside… i need a head wrap thing but have yet to find one im sure of for its purpose
I go a week or more without washing my hair. I have low porosity, low density and low to medium texture hair. I could wash my hair every 3 or 4 days I guess but with my schedule once a week in the shortest I go.
Mel (with a handsome Squidward facial expression: We’re not going for oil spill, we just want to look ✨JUICY✨ You are too funny for your own good Mel, love Texture Thursday 😊
Sadly this is a look i feel like i cant wear rn in life. I did a gel / wet look curly all the time in hogh school well hr high more so - the older i got the less i did 😂😂 but even now when my hairs feeling curly and kinda of u know stiff (damage and short) i just feel the need to massage and scrape my scalp aome and “shake” my hair out cause it feels nearly stuck! To my scalp.
Yes I am so over it. I did it for years since 1980 when I was 12. It was the only way we wore wash and go's. On the odd occasion when I need good hold Í still do it...... My special occasion hair.
I’m seeing a Little Mermaid play with my niece and nephew this weekend and what better time to do a wet hair look when you’re going to be visiting mermaids?!
I want to use your link to the Tresseme but it defaults to a third party seller and not WalMart which is like $20 instead of $7. Not your fault! This happens a lot!
"Yes I am a woman, and I have body hair" quote of the year, love it lol
You being real is what make watching you fun and worth it!!!! All cats are female and dogs are male to me too. lol
for me to
we're here for the realness as much as the hair tips girl 💅🏻
Thank you for mentioning stubborn hair! I need to use Eco Style and Wetline, both in (un)healthy amounts, to get the definition and hold i need 😭
Mell, you are my weekly therapy. Love you.
I loved the headscarf look. Sooooo Queen Elizabeth. Still can't believe she's gone. But seriously Mel, you have thee perfect face shape for hair. Whatever you do, it looks Gerrreat.....😍

I use L'Oreal Indestructable 4. But usually mix it 1/2 and Half with a mousse.

I always put my silk sleep cap thing on inside out because… the outside is silkier than the inside… i need a head wrap thing but have yet to find one im sure of for its purpose
Epilating your pits is not painful and you can do it every week. For wet looks, the Curlsmith soufflé is really good on my hair.
I go a week or more without washing my hair. I have low porosity, low density and low to medium texture hair. I could wash my hair every 3 or 4 days I guess but with my schedule once a week in the shortest I go.

You are like Lucy and Ethel all in one!
Oh I’m early!!!
What is the brand of the brush?

Can we get more low porosity hair content??
It's giving mom from spy kids which is a compliment!
9:35 😩😩😩
I’m seeing a Little Mermaid play with my niece and nephew this weekend and what better time to do a wet hair look when you’re going to be visiting mermaids?!
Yes, my brain does that too! Cats are girls, dogs are boys😂... I don't know why😅
Haircare routine for beginners to grow curly hair
I want to use your link to the Tresseme but it defaults to a third party seller and not WalMart which is like $20 instead of $7. Not your fault! This happens a lot!
You're so beautiful @Mel. 😊
Join the LASER club. It’s $150-300 in KW and it doesn’t take long to get rid of all the hair.
Me too all cats are femals and all dogs are males
we are not going for oil spill🤣🤣
JOIN THE LASER REMOVER COMMITTY!!!! ITS SO MUCH BETTER THAN WAXING :)
You're right - all cats are women and all dogs are men. It's a scientific fact! 🙂
First

This is so early y2k.
This would look horrible on me, volume is the only way I look good with my curls.
