Education is very important, but our society misdefined education because music and especially the songs from Citizen Soldier can be educational as well. They are about topics that are, in our society, kind of taboo.

I'm always in awe of the wording you guys choose for your songs. Idk what it is exactly, but something about it makes the lyrics so extremely impactful. Would Anyone Care and Mess of Me especially stick out (although for 2 different reasons) For Mess of Me, the line "I'm ashamed, I'm afraid" can be read in 2 ways, being ashamed AND afraid, and being ashamed OF BEING afraid (ik the former is probably the intention, but both interpretations are just so fitting for the subject matter). I love the duality of that And Would Anyone Care is just... wow. Normally when people talk about suicide, it always feels like we choose more... violent words, almost. But saying stuff like "stepped off the ledge" instead of jump, and "gave up and turned out the light"... it's chilling. It feels softer, and does a much better job of giving people who have never experienced such a thing a perspective on what being suicidal is REALLY like than any awareness campaign I've ever seen. And it's haunting. It's so hard (in my experience at least) to find something that takes that softer wording and still hits hard and invokes such sorrow Love your music. Keep up the great work

I'm a soldier now citizen, and I've just now found you guys. And even though I'm mostly a metal head, I like any thing good from classical, rap, etc.... There's not a single song I've listened to from y'all yet I don't think is good. And not a single one that doesn't reach me deep inside and put things I couldn't into words
I bought both Down the Rabbit Hole and Relentless on Amazon. I'm so glad to have found a band that seems to say what I can't, they can speak the words I can't find. I'm learning now how to speak the pain I've been feeling after 14 years of abuse, I'm 28, learning who I am, learning how to not be in survival mode, learning how to let go of these walls, but it's so hard. "Hope it haunts you" video even says in the description that the ones we loved the most leave the ugliest scars. I was a kid, my own family did this to me, and it's not fair that I have to learn how to be "normal" now. Even to this day I still deal with their shit, and I'm done. If they wanna keep trying to make me feel less than, I'm gonna make it clear that if they're intent on forcing me into a corner, they're not worthy of being in my life.
Is the first time i come across to a band that relates and actually care for the fans and speak so much on the soul about bad situations but in magical way you guys can spread the "everything gonna be ok" that this people need.You can't even imagine how much you guys helped me restore my relationship with my best friend cause i was so blind and angry about the situation she was.For sure when pandemic end and you guys start live again am gonna take her and come see you guys.Thanks again!

Last night I was going through a tough time in life alot of personal problems happened at once and I went into a dark depression and yesterday I went around town hoping for a sign of something well I was listening to state of mine the thunder rolls long Verison well after that song ended anyone would care by you citzensoldier came on and it helped me

It's almost unbelievable how much a person can relate to this - and given how many people actually relate to this, shows how underestimated the numbers of people with depression is. By far my favorite song I've heard is forever damned. I've listened to that (and I'm not okay) whenever I just have a bad day. Let alone the people who listen to this to help in relation to depression. I can definitely see why people turn to this band when feeling down, just remember that we (your fans/family) all love you. All things people feel deeply when suicidal. we have a gift to see the world and other people for what they really are. What we do with that gift is up to us. The lie depression tells us all is that we're alone with this gift, but that's not true. There are hundreds of thousands of us. All yearning for a better world, a better life, a reason to live. We are the children of the world, and we are the ones who have a flame in all of us, a flame that allows us to do anything we can imagine. And with an open mind and the eyes to see the world for what it is in every detail, we have the power to fix everything that's wrong. When enough of us realise and unite, that's when progress can be made. If you understand what I'm saying, please like this so I know I'm not alone.

Would anyone care has reduced me to sobbing, not realizing how badly I needed to hear literally anyone just say I mattered was an unrealized pain I had. Suppose putting off getting therapy was a bad idea. Guess I'll have to scrounge together the funds for it, that... felt like a deep-seeded pain that I didn't even know I had.

I have fallen in love with all your guy's songs. It really hits home and had me over here crying with how all your songs explain the pain of everything so well. I have suffered from depression and anxiety since I was about 6 years old for what I can remember so I don't know life without it. Basically I was labeled with high functioning anxiety/depression. Felt the constant need to help everyone me, work, go to school, etc. & I felt if I had those "jobs" to do I'd feel better and from the constant running around it gave me less time to dwell on how depressed I was. Im not sure if you ever thought about doing a song like that but if you ever did I haven't heard any songs relating to this level & would be so stoked. I hope you guys have a concert out in michigan sometime! My first favourite song was Mess of Me - and shortly after I had down the rabbit hole playing over and over again - for days and weeks. Still do so. It's almost unbelievable how much a person can relate to this - and given how many people actually relate to this, shows how underestimated the numbers of people with depression is.

By far my favorite song I've heard is forever damned. I've listened to that (and I'm not okay) whenever I just have a bad day. Let alone the people who listen to this to help in relation to depression. I can definitely see why people turn to this band when feeling down, just remember that we (your fans/family) all love you. Though some of us may not like a song or two, we are still here to appreciate you guys. Much love, and stay safe.

Please don't give up the fight, if you have ever felt how I have or if you've ever been through anything like me, we're more special than the blank people can even begin to imagine. I realised a long time ago that people who are ill with depression are actually the people who see the world for what it really is and it's the fear from that, that makes us so hurt, so upset and so scared. All things people feel deeply when suicidal. we have a gift to see the world and other people for what they really are. What we do with that gift is up to us. The lie depression tells us all is that we're alone with this gift, but that's not true. There are hundreds of thousands of us. All yearning for a better world, a better life, a reason to live. We are the children of the world, and we are the ones who have a flame in all of us, a flame that allows us to do anything we can imagine. And with an open mind and the eyes to see the world for what it is in every detail, we have the power to fix everything that's wrong. When enough of us realise and unite, that's when progress can be made. If you understand what I'm saying, please like this so I know I'm not alone.

Would anyone care has reduced me to sobbing, not realizing how badly I needed to hear literally anyone just say I mattered was an unrealized pain I had. Suppose putting off getting therapy was a bad idea. Guess I'll have to scrounge together the funds for it, that... felt like a deep-seeded pain that I didn't even know I had.
This album hits me at the core. Everything about this album and Relentless are unbelievably relatable.

I love this whole album "I'm not okay" is a song I can relate to I just want to get my whole family together and sing this because I don't think they know I'm depressed but I'm scared they won't believe me and most of my friends don't know either I'm depressed or suicidal 🙁🖤
I get that so deep l lost my only Child Eight yrs ago and my friends that lve gone through life with have pretty much abandoned me there Live's have gone on somewhere in it they forgot l exist l hurt deeply in my soul l don't know if they have a clue while they have been blessed with grandchildren and l never will but l thought they knew me l love children and l think it's been forgotten the pain that l feel is crazy ,l just wish they could live in my head for one minute and realize that I need them after eight years l don't think I can let them back into my heart because l needed them ,so much it's hurts me just to write this ,

I have fallen in love with all your guy's songs. It really hits home and had me over here crying with how all your songs explain the pain of everything so well.
I have suffered from depression and anxiety since I was about 6 years old for what I can remember so I don't know life without it. Basically I was labeled with high functioning anxiety/depression. Felt the constant need to help everyone me, work, go to school, etc. & I felt if I had those "jobs" to do I'd feel better and from the constant running around it gave me less time to dwell on how depressed I was. Im not sure if you ever thought about doing a song like that but if you ever did I haven't heard any songs relating to this level & would be so stoked. I hope you guys have a concert out in michigan sometime!

Would anyone care was the first song I ever heard by this group. It just happened to be a song recommended to me by RUclips. It made me cry because it put into words thoughts I have had all my life. I had my partner listen to it. It helped her understand me better and helped us get even closer.
