Lyrics
Cut my life into pieces
This is my last resort
Suffocation, no breathing
Don't give a fuck if I cut my arm bleeding
This is my last resort
Cut my life into pieces
I've reached my last resort
Suffocation, no breathing
Don't give a fuck if I cut my arm bleeding
Do you even care if I die bleeding?
Would it be wrong, would it be right
If I took my life tonight?
Chances are that I might
Mutilation out of sight
And I'm contemplating suicide
'Cause I'm losing my sight, losing my mind
Wish somebody would tell me I'm fine
Losing my sight, losing my mind
Wish somebody would tell me I'm fine
I never realized I was spread too thin
'Til it was too late, and I was empty within
Hungry, feeding on chaos and living in sin
Downward spiral, where do I begin?
It all started when I lost my mother
No love for myself and no love for another
Searching to find a love upon a higher level
Finding nothing but questions and devils
'Cause I'm losing my sight, losing my mind
Wish somebody would tell me I'm fine
Losing my sight, losing my mind
Wish somebody would tell me I'm fine
Nothing's alright, nothing is fine
I'm running and I'm crying
I'm crying, I'm crying
I'm crying, I'm crying
I can't go on living this way
Cut my life into pieces
This is my last resort
Suffocation, no breathing
Don't give a fuck if I cut my arm bleeding
Would it be wrong, would it be right
If I took my life tonight?
Chances are that I might
Mutilation out of sight
And I'm contemplating suicide
'Cause I'm losing my sight, losing my mind
Wish somebody would tell me I'm fine
Losing my sight, losing my mind
Wish somebody would tell me I'm fine
Nothing's alright, nothing is fine
I'm running and I'm crying
I can't go on living this way
Can't go on
Living this way
Nothing's alright

As a teen I felt the original, angry and full of pain. As an adult I feel this one, broken and full of sorrow. Truly a beautiful piece.
You're not alone.
Hope you’re living peacefully now 🙏

It gives a whole new meaning to the song
This was the song that started the love of Papa Roach’s music and now 20 years later this song hits in an entirely different way. So much raw emotion. I absolutely love both versions that are set to two separate times in my life. Thank you to both bands for making music that touch so many people.
The orignal had the anger and the teenage angst, this expresses the sadness and depression. Quite perfect in my eyes.
We grew up. Need this version more than ever 😢❤
This version is haunted by Auto-tune, dials turned up to 11. Either he can't sing, or it was deliberately.
@@henrikcarlsen1881 we dont care , because this version gives another vibes so fvck off
@@henrikcarlsen1881 yeah it's unfortunate. I'm sure he can sing fine, but the autotune tidied up the wrong notes. I'd rather just hear his raw voice fail at that point, or have him stick within his range, than hear that shit.
@@strider5119 You're a nerd. I don't notice auto tune and it doesn't ruin songs for me because I don't have any reason to pay attention to that or care. Good music is good music. End of story.
Tell me, could you survive on your own in the wilderness? Or do you have to rely on technology to survive because you are to weak and shit at everything? Same concept. Stop the whining.

That’s so true, unfortunately. You can’t learn without experience
Jacoby's version give you the anger of those feelings, Ronnie's give you the sadness. Both amazing🤘🖤
I know that’s right I lost my mom a almost two years ago and I really feel it in the mother line this version is how I feel about the loss of my mom

All of their Reimagined/Revamped versions have always been amazing! These versions always showcase Ronnie’s wide range talent. 😊❤

I know right! lol he is one talented mofo! ❤
Those with sadness and depression and anger knows truly how this song feels :/ it hits our hearts, our body, our mind. It hits our screams that we've been suffering inside when we sing with him. He shows us that we're not fine and sings it for us whether we can or cant with him, he bleeds for us in this song, put on a battle for us. Everywhere is crashing around us like the buildings and we're all at a stand still crying and breaking, nothing can beat this song with him singing and the old papa roach version. Both tells a different story and yet the same. My heart breaks with you but ill remain strong with you too. I thank you for singing such a difficult song and making this video. ❤
Beautifully put 🥺
Absolutely 💯 %
As a teen i used to cut, close myself off from anything real and only played video games to distract from what was real. Nothing seemed to matter. I didn't matter. This connected so well with the past i have left behind. Such a beutifull version of the original.

@@csxtrain8666me too.. 13 years and still today.
Dude... This song hits so much harder this way as an adult. As a teenager hearing Papa Roach "Last Resort" was a rage release song. Hearing this rendition brings out the depressing reality of mental health issues and the struggle of life. Looking back at everything I have been through in my life while listening to this song brings tears to my eyes. So many times I wanted to ended it, but just couldn't bring myself to do it. Song like this are really my saving grace. Knowing I'm not alone in this messed up world we live in. Such a beautiful rendition! 10/10 you killed it!

I’ve listened to Last Resort thousands of times and never did it hit like this. The power, intensity, and passion in the songs message is painfully evident when performed like this. F.I.R. has my vote for the greatest recreation of a song ever. This is amazing!
You might be right with that one. Even a video going around of Ronnie playing the song to Jacoby shaking all nervous like he's worried dad won't like it and Jacoby just glowing in excitement with what he did to his defining, early career, baby Last Resort.
agreeed !
I would put this version up with Disturbed version of The sound of silence, both just made it relevant in another way than the original
Yes 💯
@gustaferiksson1503 Funny, you should mention that song considering this. Also, made me experience religion like disturbed sound of silence did.
Ronnie Radke took this song and made it his own. He is so musically inclined. You can feel this song through his voice. To me that is a true artist.
I can barely see to type because I am bawling after hearing this version for the first time EVER. I have heard this song probably hundreds of times and have always loved it, but this... THIS! It is AMAZING! I'M NOT ALRIGHT! I think there are MANY of us that are not alright and we suffer too much in silence. So many of us feel so alone...
Facts. I hope you can find your way out of this dark hole soon. I absolutely feel you, as I have been slipping further and further down for the past 6 years now. The last 4 years tho, has basically been a free fall. ( I can assure you, that is no exaggeration ) Crazy how that works, you claw your way up, inch by inch. Eventually, or in my case at least, I seem to have come to the point where I am just too tired... ( I'm not saying I'm at the point of ending myself, just to be clear and avoid any unnecessary worry to those reading this ) but yea it's hard to explain because tired.. isn't really the right word but 'tired' is the closest concept.. if that makes sense... It's way more than being tired. Mentally and physically I am well beyond the point of 'tired'. I've battled Severe depression now for the last 27 years. I was sure I had seen the darkest places of this hole. I was very wrong. This is almost like something entirely different, like a whole different ball game and I have no clue how to handle this now. I am just done, I am tired, too tired to even try and think of ways to better my chances of crawling out of this hole. As of Right now, I haven't fallen any further, and in a metaphorical sense, I seem to have landed on a very small, unstable ledge in the hole... In which I am precariously perched on at the moment. ( I just remembered a RUclips clip that perfectly visualizes this 'ledge' ... It is called "The Curve" Made by Producers Jordan Peele & Riz Ahmed, and is non ironically about depression I do believe) anyways, my point I guess, is that I will either rest on this ledge for a long while, until I have the strength or will to start climbing out......or the ledge will give way in which I fall deeper into this hole....or i have a very long, extended stay on my little ledge, make the most of the situation, with what I have for a while ( and of course..making sure I make room for others to land so they dont go further down, like I would have )..do that untill i am fully rested.. to try again ( if any "ledge mates" are too tired yet... Id tell them "na I got you, piggyback style" )
@@apatheticalpaca9678 I too am a "ledgemate". I know there's light at the end of the tunnel, I just cannot see it yet.
@@melissateague6385 well then, in that case, hello ledge mate. I genuinely hate to see others in similar situations, and for what it's worth, I am so sorry. I know people say this all the time, and people like us, know damn well they don't literally mean it.. if you ever need someone to talk to ( that won't repeat a breath of what is discussed ) please remember this comment and let me know. I mean that in the most sincere way a human can possibly be.
I don't judge people and I understand that life is fucking complicated and no one actually knows what the hell they are doing.
I'm certainly Not a certified psychologist or mental health expert in any way..but I can be helpful to others. In college, my main study was Psychology. Or if you would just like a friend that's in the same hole. No pressure tho, I was just throwing it out there.
( this goes for anyone reading my comment that is struggling with mental health. Please, don't hesitate to drop a reply. I have an email account i specifically use for "public connections" ( like giving it out to people in comments ) and from there give people my private email. So don't feel guilty thinking I'm putting my private info out there if you want to talk) it may take me a day or 2 to see the comment as I'm not online all the time, but when I am, I always check replies on RUclips. Obviously I am not a professional of any kind.. so if you're in a crisis please call your emergency services.
I've learned to listen to this song in a different way. It's a gateway to better things yet to come and for me only serves as a message of what was and not what is. It's become only a gentle reminder and nothing else. You can overcome the struggles that you have to deal with. It's hard, this I too know but it is not impossible. When you have flipped that switch and this song gives you nothing but power you will realize you are in the right place. My love goes out to all that do indeed feel so alone, but please realize you are not.
I'm pretty far from ok but is what it is I suppose... I have good days every now n then, just patiently waiting for the misery to end when my time finally comes
This is an absolutely beautiful rendition of the original song. Kudos to Ronnie for taking on such a famous song and making it his own. This version literally gave me chills and gets better every time I listen to it.
Although I have heard this many times in my teens, and never truly understanding the lyrics, When they are slowed down and visually displayed and understood as an adult; I'm in tears right now. Because it is relatable to so many lives. Including mine currently.

As a long time fan of Papa Roach. I never imagined that their song Last Resort would be covered this way. I'm very impressed. Way to go Ronnie. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
As a guitarist and music lover of 17+ years, it's such a fuckin time to be alive, especially witnessing beautiful renditions of our favorite rock songs.

This is what they mean by taking a song and making it yours, not just covering someone else's work. Fantastic ❤
Kind of like when Weezer covered Africa by Toto? No originality to it.

“Last Resort” by Falling in Reverse is a true masterpiece, a symphony of sounds that captures the essence of modern music while paying tribute to the classics. Each note is a statement of intent, each word a profound poetry. It is a piece that transcends genres and eras, and continues to resonate in the hearts of listeners. Kudos to Falling in Reverse for this exceptional achievement.
I never imagined this song could be made into something beautiful
Someone else said it perfectly. The original is the anger and the reimagined is the sadness/depression. You can feel how powerful this song is in BOTH versions 💛💛
That’s what all of the reimagined tracks are doing though, showing that songs can gain new meaning depending on the context.

“Last Resort” de Falling in Reverse est un véritable chef-d’œuvre, une symphonie de sons qui capture l’essence de la musique moderne tout en rendant hommage aux classiques. Chaque note est une déclaration d’intention, chaque parole une poésie profonde. C’est une pièce qui transcende les genres et les époques, et qui continue de résonner dans le cœur des auditeurs. Bravo à Falling in Reverse pour cette réalisation exceptionnelle.
When the original came out I was going through a hard time growing up. This year many years later it’s a tough year. Listening to this doesn’t feel sad, if anything it gives me hope.

I head this version right around the time I lost my Grandmother. The person I looked up to the most in my life.... It's amazing how a song I used to rock out to when I was younger translated in my adult years... This is an amazing song in all its various versions but due to the timing I think this one is now my favorite. Thanks for creating this something I didn't know I needed at that time.
What can this band NOT do.....how do you go from Watch the World Burn to this!? Such talent!
You should listen to his previous work with escape the fate and falling in reverse youll be like holy flying fox batman!!
Well this band can’t seem to do much of anything, including staying out of jail
@@starplatinum9947 Him going to jail has nothing to do with how amazing this music is. Go back to your Disney Princess man cave ya troll

And these are the covers that everyone wants, not some shitty remakes done quickly for views and fame. Ronnie you are a living legend. Greetings from Poland.💪
Your're apparently young by the name but wise, I like you.
@@mattiacenacchi726 Thank you very much, I'm in my 30s, but young doesn't always mean not intelligent. ;)

This is a shitty cover lol
As an elder emo who is constantly pissed off at the current state of the world- this rendition captures that feeling of anger, sadness and hopelessness I feel on a daily basis. Well done!
Right?! I feel like Papa Roach’s version was us as angry, traumatized kids/teens, and now we have Ronnie’s cover as broken, hopeless adults. It’s such a beautiful cover!
Felt
Exactly….Now we flip the script….The Power wants you to crumble and give in….. nope… they went too far and its time to take the wheel…
You say this but what do you actually do to make a difference theres plenty of ngos that are willing to take you on to make a difference
@@jackwoodhouse5349 Why is sadness, anger and hopelessness only legitimate, if you're involved in ngos? Sure, there's plenty of good ngos that are fighting the current world problems, but everyone can fight their own battles, albeit "only" through elections. Especially if one is, as stated above, "hopeless", it kinda defeats the purpose to demand action.
I like how everything gets fixed in the end. Amazing vocals. Phenomenal artist.
This version is a Masterpiece ❤ Should be a Movie Sound Track ❤❤❤
Literally every time I hear part 2:30 and up I’m in full blown chills for how well the sounds and the lyrics hit in this version. By far one of the best songs to ever get a remastered from any artist.
I thought the same thing! Sound of Silence by Disturbed WAS the best remastered until this song came out.
The rising piano helps with those sweet sweet arm tingles
When Ronnie Radke strips and slows down a song with his vocal talent, it's simply amazing. I never noticed how deep Jacoby's lyrics truly were considering how driving and up tempo the song was originally. Well done my friend, nothing short of another masterpiece!
Jacoby actually reacted to the version while Ronnie was stood there and he was buzzing with the outcome
One could say the depth of Jacoby's lyrics are hidden beneath the anger and rage he pours into the mic to express those more sad and deep lyrics, like in the original Last Resort, Between Angels and Insects and honestly the rest of the Infest album. Ronnie, instead, dug beneath the anger and brought the sadness up to the surface and then amplified it.
I love the original because I was full of angst and no hearing this I feel this into the depths of my own soul.
As someone who tried a few times when I was younger, then found a reason to keep going, this hits so hard.
My generation grew up on this and Ronnie just made it the most haunting song..... It took about a different meaning as we got older didn't it?
Ronnie definitely flipped it…wow.
100%
It sure did. Happy with the result for sure
What do you mean?
FACTS!!!!
This man took one of alt rocks masterpieces and turned it into an operatic work of art. Absolutely fantastic. Insane to see my favorite vocalist covering a song of my other favorite vocalist. Never thought I'd get to hear something like this. Thank you Ronnie, Thank you Jacoby. Don't ever stop, music needs you guys.
Damm straight
This version perfectly describes when you finally have let go of the anger, and now you're just tired. Beautifully done ⚘️
It is not very often that a remake of such a popular song ever does justice to the original. This is an exception. Very well done. Even better than the original in my opinion.
As a 37 year old that has been living with anxiety for almost my entire life. Can't describe in words how much this meant to me. Simply thank you sir.

It is. My mom just died a week before this came out and I wish she had gotten to hear this version 😔. I was a teen when the original came out and we listened to that all the time together. His voice is beautiful.

Same!!
The original hit hard when I was younger, but this definitely feels different. Both are deep, just in different ways. I think the original was angry and shouting it to the world, this one feels like it's someone asking for help.
