I know of 3 Early K100 that would not start, Because of faulty Temp Sender, Mine and 2 others. It had the effect of Full Choke so flooded the engine, A friend told me the only way his would go is if he took the Petrol tank off !!. Nice Bike had mine for 10 years, Very little trouble.
A temperature sender 🤣 no way! Who would have thought something like that would stop it from running? Especially the fact that really, the fuel system and cooling system aren’t connected to each other. They are definitely good bikes thats for sure. It Started up first turn the other day after sitting for about a month. No choke used.
I've heard of a faulty coolant temperature sensor preventing a fuel injected car from starting as well. I don't remember the model or even the brand of car, but yes, it definitely can happen. In a similar vein, the outside air temperature sensor in a BMW automobile, if defective, can tell the computer that it's some ridiculously cold temperature outside, and will prevent the AC compressor from coming on.
Good diversion. Engines are designed by people who don’t have to pull them apart. Lol. Greetings from Bangkok. Here’s a place that will keep you in work fixing bike engines, for a dozen lifetimes. Cheers mate 👍🏻
Yeah we found that out after the excessive smoke 🤣. We have resorted to holding it upright for a minute after stopping the engine, to allow any oil built up in the bores to run back to the crankcase.
Entre la pompe à carburant et la rampe d’injection , ne pas oublier de vérifier le régulateur de pression et vu l’âge de la moto, changer les durites, elles sont probablement cuites car elles sont juste au dessus du moteur !
low battery can throw the starter off.......will spin but the SPRAG CLUTCH wont have high enough speed to kick out and engage. now....Ill watch your video. cheers!
Hi, You replaced the four " SINGLE HOLE" injectors . You did a good job. I have some questions about them: 1)The new ones are "SINGLE HOLE " or " 4 HOLES"? 2) are them the cheap chinese ones (3 for 50€ ) or the original expensive BOSCH pn 0280 150210 (250€ each)? This is what i did on my 1991 K75 which now starts but runs inconsistenly. Tks a lot from Rome.
Hi Antonio, The originals were only single nozzle, so I kept it original and ordered the single nozzle. They are the Chinese copies. I do not plan to keep them in, as I will put a seal kit in the original Bosch ones sometime and clean them out and refit, but the Chinese ones will do fine, just for now. My father believes it runs alright with the Chinese ones, but I am thinking it is running a bit on the lean side. The 4 nozzle injectors make them run better and more smooth I have heard. I could be wrong but I think some of the later K100’s and K75’s had the 4 nozzle injectors? Many thanks 👍

If you check the early K 100 choke cable, it only moves the throttle !.@@BIGRIG2005.

Gold. She started 👍. Put the new spark plugs in. That should smooth her out on the tune.

With a Brick Always use center stand, oil loads heads on side stand . This is one of the easiest motor to maintain.
