hi guys, i bought an 1985 K100RT new, dipped the tires in all the great lakes and both oceans, toured the national parks. took a riding class in Michigan, went over 130 mph.and learned to trust it drifting on the curves. I had ridden over 200 thousand miles before the riding class, I had no idea of the cycles ability. What a day! Between a BMW R 100 and the K 100 RT I rode them over 200 thousand miles and tent camped along the way. When my trips were near an end I always planed a 1000 mile nonstop ride home.
