Hi mate great bike i have the k1200rs. Be careful if you remove the abs system and do a full delete because you need the top part of the abs plug that operates the speedometer which is controlled off the front abs ring on the front wheel and abs sensor. The bike could of had a abs delete becouse the abs pump is crap on the 1200rs and fails quite often and its about £3500 to replace so most people like me delete the system. The brakes work better without it. Good luck and ride safe mate
Ok thanks for the heads up buddy. I did noticed a connector between the abs module and the ecu and already wondered if that could have any consequenses for the engine/bike. I'm planning to use bmw GS wheels so the abs rings won't be used anymore. And also I'm planning to use a aftermarket speedometer. So I think I'm good by deleting all the abs related stuff (?)
boutta cop me one of these bad boys for $700 with 15k miles. need the clutch cable done like this, plastics, rear main seal and handlebars. real cool to learn about that subframe modification.
Sweet work! I understand you didn't connect any alternate side fairings, but painted the tank underneath? Can you share how/which paint you used? Cheers :)
is there a source for a new dash to include the temp and fuel gauge after removing the front shields of the 1100 lt? I have an 1100 lt that i wish to convert to sport bike.
On all my builds I went for an aftermarket speedo, mostly Motogadget ones. You could use a indicator for the fuel gauge and run a separate temp sensor 👍🏼
I'm using a part of the harness so that's no longer usable, but I've still got the ECU. Shoot me a email to cornercustom at hotmail.com and we'll work it out
What are your thoughts on the new build?
amazing projects you do. thank you for your 'service'!
Thanks! Next video will be out this Sunday 👍🏼

outstanding - looking forward to the next installation! I have the same - but in original form.
The K1200's are powerful bikes, can't wait to finish the bike 💪🏼
Great video, love the K12! Curious on the build man
More to come 🚀
Hey Guys! I‘m really looking forward to this build. Cheers, Adrian.
This is a one man show, but great to hear you're following along 👍🏼
I‘m thinking about building a Frankenstein K1100RS with the K12 engine and electronics. I already have the K12 wheels fitted… Looks awesome!
The exhaust will be difficult to change due to the catalytic converter. I haven’t so far seen anything on the after-market.
There are multiple build that took a K12 engine as a donor for a K1100 build
Yes I still have to check that part out. I want to use the K100 pipes on the K12 engine and then a 4-1 collector and a aftermarket exhaust
Beautiful motorcycle! Love it.
Thank you! I hope I can turn it into a much greater bike, but solid base!

That sounds like a great buy! There will be a new episode out soon on the K12 build

Painted the tank? Sorry man don't understand that
Love your jobs!!!
Thanks 👍🏼👍🏼
Make sure to drill a toothpic size hole in your clutch bell housing to allow it to vent so you will not suck engine oil into your clutch area.
Ok thanks for sharing that info 👍🏼
Cannot wait for this engine rebuild!!!!
Same here man! Will put some speed into it 💪🏼
impressive video, great video.👏
Thanks 👍🏼👌🏼

thanks for the info. Will look into this!@@corner.custom
Great video Si! Loved the Forrest Gump clip 😂 This will definitely be an interesting build and great for those looking beyond the K100/1100 🧐
Thanks Dave 👊🏼 It definitely is a great way to expand the knowledge 🤓
Would you sell the wiring harness and ecu cheap? Saw in the other vidio you ar going to use k1100 wiring

@@corner.custom if possible i am very interested in an in depth video when it comes to wiring.. i am doing an k1200lt
@__Aleks__ Yes I'll get into it on the next build video
@@corner.custom looking forward to it😎 seems to be a cool build you got there
@__Aleks__ it's a handful! The wheels, wiring and fuel tank are a real pita 😅
Nice bike 😉🤘🏽
Not so nice now, but we'll make it a nice bike in the end 💪🏼
very beautiful, it has a lot of personality
Thanks man👍🏼
Yeah 😃🎉
👍🏼👍🏼
I think it’s gonna be rad
I'll do my best 😁💪🏼
looks like a costly project. good job.
I wanted to do this build more budget friendly, but that didn't really worked out so far 😅
