Hey B I am pretty sure that you have installed the foot plate the wrong way, foot plate smooth part should be up and cover TV feet entirely and it should look smooth and easy to keep the sound bar as well. Hope that helps..
@@Golu2116 yes we realized that. Thanks. But the sound bar then would still be elevated off the table.
@@Golu2116I did the same thing B did haha, I thought it looked odd. I bought the S90c today along with the Q750c soundbar, I just sat the soundbar on top of the legs.
I wonder how many times he gets it wrong when he installs a tv??
Take the video down … post again. Many are doing it this way and damaging their feet, returning tv citing your install video. @@BTheInstaller
The stand plate is supposed to go on the top. I think it's made for an aesthetic purpose instead of a practical one. Lol and I'm sorry, your wife was right. People on the internet are always gonna tell you what you're doing wrong but for a greater cause haha. So I returned my 65" S90C for the LG C3. I thought the tv was uncomfortably thin. It felt like the panel would break just trying to take it out of the box, that's how thin it was. Also I already had a 42" LG C3 that I use as a monitor for school and gaming for my desk and LGs picture and filmmaker I think is better. The interface (webOS) is easier and smoother. Also I like the traditional big remote and the magic wand component to it. Just my thoughts and experience with the tv.
Thank you for the unboxing instructions and setup for the stand. I showed this to Costco who delivered my 77 inch and rhey were impressed and super happy on how quickly and painlessy we set it up. Took a literal minute to do using thr styrofoam to hold it up like that.
This is awesome how you attached the legs while having it on the box upright. That's amazing as you never have to lay it flat on a table and bring it upright again!
That 83" reference on the S90C stand was interesting.
From an article that came out yesterday, it reports Samsung will be soon buying LG OLED panels and will come out with a 83" S90C OLED TV but it will use the LG 83" WOLED panel since there is no 83" QD-OLED panel available.
Thanks for the video. I just got the 65'' OLED Samsung TV and I am kind of nervous to install and set up it. After watching you guys video I see it easy way to install and set up. Very cool guys. Thanks
got mine today and realized that i put the stand like you have it and it was upside down. there is a sticker on the retail model that shows the legs underneath the baseplate. overall love the tv so far. will experience more when i watch football on sunday.
Not my fav TV tbh but it's their best presentation of a TV I've seen. Good Job B and Jen
Thank you for showing the unboxing. It’s an unwieldy beast of a TV and I had no idea you were supposed to set it up with the foam. I broke my first S90C 77 and this brings me a great deal of comfort.
How did you break it if you don’t mind me asking?

Just got the 89C version yesterday from BB and I'm in LOVE!😍
This should be used as a training video on how to unbox a new tv! Fantastic demonstration guys!
No it sucks
they put the stand on wrong it looks like
Just received my 90 77” from Costco. The ‘83 was available. May be a special Costco thing but mine had an all metal stand and boosted speakers from 40 to 60 watts. Mounted mine on a fixed mount. Very happy with the picture.
I seen the s90c at Costco yesterday and I love it
I love your passion for reviewing Tv's, sending love from Cali!
Great video as always, I like to see you both working together, lovely family team.
Video was super helpful in setting up my new s90c. Thanks!
Set mine up yesterday, really liking it... the only thing I can pick about it right now, given mine is sitting on a TV Cabinet is that the baseplate is quite slippery meaning the TV is quite easy to move around with little effort - even with safety straps. Id prefer it to have a non slip base. To avoid this I have clamped the back edge of the baseplate to the back of my cabinet.
The baseplate should be installed on top of the feeds.
@@quintenv.m.2884 That's not what the instructions indicate.
Stick some rubber to the bottom corners
@@jimsomerville3924 Just bought this TV today and actually the instructions do indicate the base plate should be installed ON TOP of the feet
@@jimsomerville3924 I just setup a 77" S90C and the baseplate has an instruction sticker on it saying the plate goes over the feet and not under. Maybe Samsung the added the sticker after seeing this YT video?

The S95C one connect box litmits to the lower level HDMI cables was noted by some reviewers so could impact your experience. Also, Best Buy has the 89 series which is basically the same as the 90 but made specifically for Best Buy. It was a marketing failure and they are selling them for $2200 as of yesterday with a pretty significant markdown.
I have the s89c. Why was it a failure?
I think it was just a marketing effort that didn't payoff. The TV seems to be great. I mean they are selling them at $100 loss and don't have any in store. Supposedly will bundle them with a soundbar for Black Friday.@@jacobshaffer7267
S89C does not have a QD Oled panel but an WOLED panel from LG.
The S90C has the same 77" "Nextgen" panel as the S95C!!!
@@Zockosaurus87 That was a rumor actually, at least in the USA, I can confirm the S89C 77" from Best Buy is definitely a QD-Oled panel, it's in my room right now. Got it for $2000 on Cyber Monday. Not seeing any reason to pay $500 more for the S90C.

I always wonder how hard it is to watch tv with these guys that do this for a living. I bet they constantly critique everything 😂
Is upscaling being a little behind the competition really a problem when you could use a streaming device to improve it anyway? Maybe you could do a video showing the improvements by just using a streaming device for low res content. Surely the streaming device does the upscaling instead of the TV, so it would improve it?
I would be so so interested in this
I’m still trying to find out if the streaming device ( firestick/shield) takes over the upscaling and motion processing ?
This. Needs a response.
@user-nj6rk5xs1m it doesn't unfortunately. It does help a little bit, but the tv is still upscaling and mouton processing.
@@Belskxhrsxdmwjdje ok cool … I bought the 75inch Sony X90L over other TVs(S90/C3) because I watch alot of Sports so hopefully I made the right choice
You can add Dolby Vision to anything if you get a VVRoom adapter. I have one for my projector and it's owesome. It also controls several displays. Of course it cost about 500 bucks.
Hello! I have the 65S90C and sorry for you but you got wrong with the stand - you have to put the metal plate the other way around and this is all much better 😉 thank you both of you for all the videos of tv unboxing - love it ! Cheers

Did it wrong also lol , it’s seems fine , should i do it that way ?
We just bought the 55" version. We didn't want anything bigger, as we sit pretty close to it, at our dining table and it is to be mounted on the wall. Thank you for the video! I've learnt a lot from unboxing to setting up, just got to find a reliable person to mount it on the wall. We're also buying a sound bar, as the internal speakers are lack lustre on such thin TVs.
Samsung S90C or LG C3?
Love y’all videos. Keep them coming. I don’t need a tv right now. I like Samsung. Which tv do y’all prefer?
I just bought one of these from Costco. This is my first OLED panel so in a word, Amazing!! Out of the box the grey scale was really off with the bottom 2 black "octaves" not really visible at all. After turning off the contrast enhancer and maxing the "shadow detail" things looked almost perfect. The colors were also over saturated and I had to drop the level to "15" to make it right. Overall my only complaint is with the screen durability. You see, I have cats... Often they hop up on my desk or TV stand and may take a playful swipe at something moving before I can chase them away. After just a few days, I noticed my playful felines had actually left some minor but permanent scratches in the anti-glare reflective coating. This has never been a problem with any of my Samsung's back-let LCD TV's which has seen plenty of attention from my cats over the years... I'm guessing it's a fundamental difference in the softness of materials used in OLED vs. LCD panels. Just a heads up... If you have cats to be prepared for this...
Oh man. You will be hooked for life. I bought an lg cx as my first entry to oled displays (other than my phones, but those tiny things don’t count) and I can never go back to lcd. Since I got that cx the panel failed a little after warranty with the common thin vertical green line. I could still use it, but it killed the experience for me. The tv was babied and sat untouched on the wall. It also had barely any hours on it for the amount of time I owned it which was about 16 months. I figured it couldn’t hurt to call lg as it clearly had minimal use and just sat on my wall and wasn’t out of warranty that long. Nope!! They didn’t care at all. I looked into repair, but a panel cost almost as much as buying the tv on the common sale prices that always seem to be around. So I begrudgingly coughed up for an lg c2 bc even though I was burned I was hooked on that tv. So I made sure I got that warranty with the c2. Then I upgraded my AW ultra wide 3440x1440 120 hz gsync pc display to an AW 3440x1440 144hz gsync oled display and I have them stacked vertically and the oled is light years ahead of the high end lcd. So now I’m moving and I got the 77 inch s90c from Costco for my new living room tv. On sale for $2600 with 5 year warranty and I saved $400 more for buying “5 qualifying items” (tv, 3 mattresses, sectional couch) so I made out great. When I see the qdoled next to all the other lcds at Costco I wonder how anyone could still be buying lcds?? We’ll see if microled can compete in the future but for now oled is king and qdoled is the cream of the crop!!!! I can’t wait to see my uhd blu ray disks on there. Or even my Rtx 4090 pc, ps5. Xbox series x. It’s all going to be so nice. Even my Apple TV 4K looks so gorgeous on oled with streamed content that has terrible bitrate compared to uhd disks or even my own plex media. It looks dang good!!!! Can’t wait for it to be delivered on the 2nd.
Why would you not mount it on the wall especially fully knowing your cat hops on the stand Often and it's not like this TV is cheap... 🤯
Buy a warranty for the TV because if your cats aren't going after it then the burn ins will come after you for sure.
Keep up the great videos!!
In the UK I bought the curved Samsung with the one connect box the first week it came I think it was £2500 that was a number of years ago now in the first two day a HDMI when faulty the picture went pink and it looked like you were looking through a net curtain then another went the same to it back the shop and change it for the flat screen 65inch which has been perfect but the reason I'm checking this out is I'm looking to go larger unto 100inch wall mount.
its interesting how the universal wall mount on the TV is so low on this TV. I understand they do that to keep the screen over all thin. but that does now require a complete mount re hang if you are upgrading from an older TV. Also possibly moving location of wires and electrical .
It’s low as you ideally want the screen level with your eyes and you don’t have to be super tall to hang it.
Hey B, just wondering if a slight tilt backward is normal for 77” when on its stand/feet?
Returning this Tv after 30 days. Won’t stop turning off happens almost 5 times a day. We tried ever recommended settlings, we unplugged ever other device, and switched up our power supply.

Im on the fence of getting this one or the LGg3 for my new living room. The living room is a bright room. Which one would you recommend in the 77 inch size
Hey Guys another great video thank you! I have one question and 1 comment...Looking on Samsung's site at the pics for this TV i think you may have the stand plate on upside down, it should be smooth and flat with a slight angle; possibly fitting over the feet.
Then question: how big of a deal do you find not having Dolby Vision? I'm stuck trying to decide between samsung and LG.
You right it’s upside plate fits over the legs

hi, which tv mount would you recommend using for 77 inch S90C? seeing some comments online about some universal tv mounts wouldnt work with this model.
Great video as always! Your channel has always been a go to for tips and information! I’m at a crossroads. I’ve always enjoyed Samsung TVs and have had a few of them over the years. My last Samsung was the 65” QN90B. Great TV all around but I wanted to go bigger. I sold that TV and purchased a 75” Hisense U8K. It took me two weeks to get the picture settings to my liking. At times the picture quality on the Hisense reminds me of the Samsung TVs I’ve had in the past but I keep getting a sense my personal preference will always be with Samsung. I wasn’t in a position to get the 77” S90C when I purchased the U8K but now things have changed and the Samsung is a possibility. I know everyone says OLEDs will give you the best quality etc etc. My concern is the brightness. That has always been a personal preference for me having had Samsung QLEDs. Does anyone have the 77” S90C and how would you rate the SDR and HDR brightness levels? I know B and Jen were amazed by the brightness so would like to hear from someone who’s had this TV for an extended amount of time.
65 inch and below for the 90C is the same panel as last years 95B. They didn’t have 77 inch panels last year, so the 77 is likely the newer panel in the more expensive 95C
Will the 90C 50 or 55 inch get a different panel like the 95C in the future?

Do you find that the brightness of this TV is good enough for HDR content and games in a moderately bright room? I have read that the S90C has aggressive ABL and certain scenes can be too dark. The last thing I want is to buy such an expensive TV and not be able to make out what is going on, on the screen due to it being too dim
All around good video guys but you should really add something about the correct way the base plate goes on. The way you did it, as you even mention, doesn't have the padded feet exposed so the TV slides too easily and could very well scratch the surface it's on.
Why you didn't go for the philips 75inches 800 series with ampilight?
FYI there is HDR in theaters. AMC theaters have Dolby Vision but in theaters it is called Dolby Cinema. Well worth it to see a movie in Dolby Cinema.
I was surprised when he said the movie theaters don’t have HDR. I believe he’s based in San Diego, so there’s a Dolby Cinema literally minutes from where he lives. Guess he’s more home theater than going to the movie theaters.
Thanks for this video. It was very helpful.
Kindly note though, the stand plate is supposed to go on top of the legs and not under them.... ;-)
Did you put the middle plate on upside down with the stand? Other images of the TV mention that the plate goes over top of the legs to cover them. I'd also think the legs have some rubber on the bottom to avoid sliding, but thats negated with the plate under the feet
Of course he put it on upside down. Guy clearly doing this content for the views and likes and can't seem to be bothered to follow simple install instructions. Lol.
