Not sure at the time of watching this if you have found the issue, but it won't connect to 5GHz WiFi, it needs to be 2.4GHz, from what I have read online. Was going through setting mine up, and using your video to get mine updated. Thanks for the walkthrough, made it super easy, and hope that information helps you out as well.
Thank you for the info, I did make sure it was on the 2.4 as I split my wifi into the 2.4 and 5. It did work after a few days when I tried again. This printer has never had a failed print as of yet (knock on wood).
great video, may i know why... in 9:30 screen protector have on place ...but why you place it again in 18:32, is it screen protector too or what ?... thank you
The 1st one at 9:30 was the shipping protector. it does say on the tab (please Remove) so I did do that, I add the new one that came in the box later in the video. Now looking back at this video I might have seen the tab to remove the top cover plastic sheet but leave the protector, I have purchased the new 12K Anycubic printer also just received a notice that it shipped so we will see if my next video I see the protective cover or is it not?
Hello Ken, I still have a question, why do you remove the plastic screen protector if it comes with a spare one? Is it a plastic screen protector from the packaging? If so, no problem, it can be removed. But why is there a spare plastic screen protector that comes in the box. Greetings, I'm new to printing with resin, I have an Aycubic photon M3 Premium and I have that question. Greetings.
Every new screen has a plastic protector on it new, the plastic has a label that says please remove, So I never leave that on myself, I might be wrong about this but I install the one that comes with the unit. lol Maybe I might have wasted a screen protector all this time. Thank you for the question.
@@kenstechlab Hi Ken again, your channel is excellent, thanks for answering me, I'm new to 3d resin printing. I recently acquired an anycubic photon M3 Premium 8K, I did the test (with a file of the plate where the number 8 comes out, the one with the pins and holes), but the plate stuck to the bottom of the FEP sheet tank, great frustration. Preliminarily, I set the printer parameters in chitubox, and use a normal white creality resin. Question, what can I do? I hope you continue to show the qualities of this machine because it is good and your channel is better.
Sorry for the late reply, RUclips does not show me automatically a reply to a answered question. I am going to have to look more closely. I hope you were able to resolve you prints sticking to the FEP. I have meny hours of cleaning the printer after the print stickes to the FEP and not the build plate.
I bought one of this one and I have a question. After the first test print, can we start another print with the remaining resin in the tank without filtering it back to the bottle?
Yes, absolutely, currently my resin has been in the vat for 10 prints and its been just sitting for 2 months, I will need to mix the resin before next use but its always ready to go. If you have a failed print then I would remove the resin and clean. Hope this helps.
Last question. I printed the same test print with you. For some of them, the hair like lines are not perfect (some may have been damaged during washing). Would that be a problem? Is there some kind of tuning for that?
Hey Ken, thanks for the video, had me up and running before your video ended!! Quick question, when I did the test print that you printed, one of them didn't print so I releveled and reprinted it and the exact same one didn't print. All it did was print the first 2 layers on the plate and there was a thin sheet on the fep. All the other ones printed fine. Could this be an stl issue or a mechanical issue? Your thoughts would be much appreciated!
Since the entire bed is printed with that test I would say the stl file, The only other thing could the little part of the screen. I would extend the 1st layer to 10 and up the 1st layers to 45sec. see if this makes any changes, Also do the screen test that will let you see the entire screen and see if there are any defects. Sorry to see you have any issues with this unit.
Nice unboxing, good luck with your printer! I got mine today. Some things I noticed in your video; Why did you re-install the screenprotector, did you remove the factory installed one? I managed to get the app etc. working, thanks to the Facebook support group. Last but not least, you printed the R_E_R_F file but what exposure was the best? Thanks!
Thank you, I did not notice the one that comes installed. I figured it was the new protector in the box. Let me know what you did to get the printer connected to your wifi, I still dont have that part working. I love the printer, I have not had 1 failed print. like my Elegoo Jupiter that i cannot get any prints to stick to the bed.
I just got mine and after I do the levelling with the paper and setting everything up to 0, when I start the printing and the platform is coming down it doesn't gently stops down but rather continues and presses the screen doing some noise, I'm concerned that it may break the LCD screen doing that. any idea what it might be? could it be just defective? or am I doing something very wrong, great video by the way
I would start the leveling process over.. Also look near the Z-rod and you will see the sensor that stopes the Z axes make sure that is tight and the piece that moves into that sensor make sure that is not bent. Contact Anycubic Support also,
I always like to see what the manufacturers do on the initial firmware, No matter what it should print perfect out of the box. fixes and updates should only enhance the system, not make it work.
I almost thought that I did that, I did remove the initial protector that had a tab on it. I think that was just the factory protector, I am very happy with this printer.
Hey, I did global, also did you upload the bin file and the ota file? Both need to be uploaded to get the wifi to work. It took me a few tries but it does work.. slowly.. but it works lol.
I know is 2 months old and may not get a response but does anyone know if the M3 Premium will come back in stock? I went to buy it a few days ago and it went out of stock and I can’t find one now. Do resin printers ever get remade or once they are all out they are done with that one?
If they are selling ok then the manufacturer will continue to produce them until they make a newer version or something better, look for the new 12K from Anycubic with no leveling needed., I have already pre-ordered it should be out next month and I will be unboxing and testing the new printer.
I am using Lychee and have not had any issues, I am using the default settings, in the future I will be trying to speed up the prints, Next to the Elegoo Jupiter this has been the best printer I have used with no failed prints.
It was really weird I left it alone for 2 days then went back to it and it just worked. on my 2.4 mhz wifi, you cannot use 5 mhz it will not work with that, I split mine as I have a Unifi network at home.
you wouldn't believe it. I just tried again using the same info and it connected. I don't know how well this works with the app, I will keep you updated.
You need to goto Anycubic website and download the files and there are 2. Copy them to your USB root then print them like any other file, read the instructions as you need to do one before the other. Hope this helps.
@@RobinHood-RPG7 Goto this site www.anycubic.com/pages/firmware-software Download the files under photon M3 premium the 1st is the instructions. it will tell you to copy the files to a usb, after you put the usb into your printer the files will be available from your print button. follow the instructions on what order the files need to be printed. you will be all set. the main thing is reading the instructions as things might change over time. I hope this helps.
@@kenstechlab The issue I am having is that the second file does not display on the printer, even though I have both files on the Root drive of the USB they provided, so I cannot print both files. Just the first one...

Is it possible to continue the print process again after the power goes out for a while ? ...
