Obgyns don't discuss this type of life saving information. They are great at keeping business open for their colleagues 😢😢. Future asthma, heart, skin conditions set up before the first five minutes of life. The things they do if people don't know. Thank you for educating❤❤
I wish providers did a better job educating and sharing allllll the helpful information. But I am here to educate mamas because they won't and I am not backing down! Thanks for being here.
I had my first child four years ago and I did the delayed clamping when I tell you that the doctors were surrounding me counting down minutes to seconds they couldn’t wait to cut it. That’s when I knew that and they would rather give it to a stranger than let my baby get everything she needed from it
Thank you for talking about this important topic! I know a mama who did delayed cord clamping with 2 of her babies born by C-section so it can be done, like you said!😊
Yes! Grateful for the is info, and the level of detail and explanation and direction you provided around it. I did not know about this topic until recently, but this was the most detailed and informative video explaining it I’ve come across. I feel like I understand it now, in addition to knowing it is a good thing to do - and I will do everything I can to make this happen for my birth when it comes time. Thank you!
Thank you so much for your education!! Just after a few videos I already feel better and more confident that I can go into delivery and advocate for myself better. In this video, I was most surprised about the whole topic! Haha I didn't even know about cord cutting, but it makes so much sense and I am excited to know about something else that I can do to help my baby be healthy and happy! Keep up the wonderful work!!
Thank you for this. I’ve been meaning to research this topic and you answered some questions I had. I’m 29 weeks in my 3rd pregnancy. I didn’t request to delay the cord with my last 2 babies but I’m definitely going to for this upcoming birth. Thank you 🙏🏼
Thank you for all of the info you share! I’m 36 weeks with our 3rd son and I’ve learned so much from you! I’m definitely adding this to my birth plan. My deepest gratitude, Mama🙏🏿💕
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! I'm 28 wks, 1st baby, @ 38 years old. This is the 3rd video of yours I came across. I subscribed!!! Great, clear concise info addressing all my concerns and confirming my preliminary research. And fyi ladies, I've heard 'they' don't like when you keep your placenta and cord for reconsumption.... but that's MY nutrients sac! (What are 'they' doing with it?!) Be blessed Werkin' Mama, can't wait to watch ALL your vids, and I will not let them give my good blood sac to the vampires 😂❤
I always wanted to do the delayed cord clamping but I had no idea there was so many benefits!! This is so reassuring for when we do start our family! Thank you for this amazing info!! ❤
Thank you for this important information 🙏❤️ I’m happy that I came across your video, I would like to know your thoughts on the Vitamin K shot at birth? I was looking on your page if you already had a video about it but couldn’t find
I went to the ACOG website and was trying to find the information you quote but it states 30-60 seconds on the site not what you stated. Can you provide me with a link?
It’s listed on the ACOG website. It says lists that a delay of 30-60 seconds, baby will receive 50% of stem sells and around 5 minutes, baby receives around 90% of stem sells. Baby will still get stem sells with a shorter delay just not as much as longer. Every mamas choice.
Im currently pregnant with my 4th daughter and with my last baby in 2022 i requested this and my gynae only left it on for like under a 1min. I was not happy about that at all. I really wanted it on for much longer😢 i dont no if i should even bother requesting for it again Do hospitals keep this for themselves 😕
My doula keeps telling me "the docs won't let you do that, the docs like you in this position, etc." I'm thinking, WHO is delivering this baby?!?! This is MY BIRTH! I don't want to tell them to leave me alone or shut up, but I will if I have to!!!
My Dr told me that, but I took a class from the hospital and all the policies and possibilities for labor. Hospital said I can delay as long as I want. The midwife from the Drs office delayed until it stopped pulsating. On day 2 I noticed some yellowing of the babies sclera, but he passed his jaundice tests. I just started making sure he was aroused and encouraged feeding every 3 hours (helps prevent jaundice). At his follow up appt in 6 days it was all resolved. So even the threat of jaundice can be minimized if you just get them enough fluids and make sure they're pooping good.

You have to get a midwife they automatically do delayed cord clamping
I always clamp before 30 seconds and it is fine
I truly love all the information that I have received. I will be sharing this life long informative work with my girl. ❤ thank you! 🙏🏾

Your videos are very informative, thank you for making them!
Totally random side note, you remind me of a prettier version of Candace Owens 😆
Wow, thank you!

You have the right to do what you want. Make sure your provider is aware of your desires and advocate for yourself!!!!

Some hospitals are only going delayed cord clamping just for up to a min. Talking bout that’s all policy allow
Policy doesn’t trump your rights as a birthing mom.
