i agree to every word. it is so sad that the watch community don't do justice to chronomaster sport. who they forget, were the original movement supplier for Daytona. i own the daytona and the zenith. the attraction the zenith brings to that table is not deliverable by the daytona.
Zenith was the first Company to manufacture a Automatic Chronograph . Rolex went cash in hand to ask Zenith to make the Movement for the Daytona . Zenith is by far offer better quality than Rolex . They reason why Rolex is considered more desirable is because they spend 80% of a watch manufacturing cost on Marketing .
@Minute Mon. I have never owned a Zenith 36000. My question is how much maintenance you think a Zenith 36000 will require in its life time? I am so used to wearing watches that does not need much maintenance also, if there are any owners of this timepiece that have some expreience wearing it would be really helpful.
I own both a Grand Seiko HiBeat and a Zenith Chronomaster but they’re both less than 5 years old so I won’t be able to give you much long term ownership perspective but maybe someone watching will be able to
@@MinuteMon My Spring Drive movement does not need maintenance like that, you have a High Beat which is also a 36000 VPM, 36000 VPM is like a Turbo, it is fast, when they are fast they will need to be maintained. my message is, a perpetual calendar watch with a moon phase will require more maintenance compared to a watch with just a datejust watch. That was my main concern with a 3600 El Primero, its maintenance, I am so used to wearing watches that you wear and perty much Go, like my Spring Drive.
The watch has very curved lugs and a short lug distance, and that is why it fits most wrist. If they put the hour marker, it would be a waste, and basically useless in modern times. I have an El Primero and Speed master and boy I never use the hour marker anyway.
@@MinuteMon I use my Casio for that. I don't need to have an hour indication for very specific timing seriously haha. I use to run a car club so trust me, it is more accurate to do it with a G-SHOCK!
@@lipinglin1994 are you here leaving your comment to say that a g-shock is better then a zenith??? Not to under estimate the g-shock for what it is ( a great tool watch with lots of functions and a great history) but you can never compare it to a zenith, and if you’re doing it, im sorry to tell you that you know nothing about watches!!!
@@mazensultan772 Chill out man. You don't need to bash people for saying that they use other cheaper and practical tools to watch for a practical purpose. Zenith makes great watches and I own an El Primero myself. They are stunning mechanical art for sure. I just don't find them as useful during times of day-to-day use.
It isn't a screw-down crown. I am personally not confident of water resistance without a screw-down crown. Moreover, a luxury brand like Zenith should not stinge on this. Even a basic Datejust of the same 100 metres water resistance has it.
I’ve gone swimming with 100m watches with no screw down crowns - look at Cartier Santos, Rado Captain Cook 37mm, Piaget Polo S. It should handle water fine due to the gaskets they use. Comparing to the Datejust doesn’t make Zenith’s piece any less impressive just because it does not use a screw down crown - also Zenith’s Defy with 100m does not have a screw down crown either.

I just bought this watch. It is insane gorgeous and I love the open see thru back.
Congrats! It’s an incredibly beautiful watch and well-built movement
@@MinuteMon Indeed!
Congrats , where did you purchase from?
@@raylegend808 The Zenith watch website got in some inventory. They ship Fed-Ex overnight.
@@mtjsrc1 ok 2 questions, do they charge sales tax and what Color did you get? Thanks
A beautiful time piece. Far more interesting than the other watch it's being compared to. And a beautifully presented movement.
Way better than a Daytona. Can't wait to get one.
Absolutely spanks Rolex!
Looks perfect on your wrist. What a beauty

Hi do u know if the chronomaster has asymmetrical lugs like the daytona? Thank you very much
I hear the clasp is really hard to open is that true?
Good review, many thanks. I LOVE this watch.
Thanks so much for watching! I love this watch too
The one on the short clip had the rose gold bezel, which model is that one, do u have a link and whats the price on it?
This is the exact configuration I'd get. Great video!
Same here! Thanks for watching it
Great review, white dial blue strap for me please.
The Daytona would not be here if it weren't for the Zenith movement.
Every thing in the watch is amazing only when you want to wind the watch is hard the crown is to smal
that's a great review! cheers
Thanks so much for checking it out!

Great points! For most timing functions the hour counter isn’t necessary like you said, but I do enjoy using it for long car rides or travel!

I love it but unfortunately that pin adjustment on the clasp is a deal breaker for me..... But great review
Darn, was hoping it wouldn’t be a complete deal breaker for anyone. Thanks for checking out the video
The impressive box shown in this video is now no longer supplied by Zenith. The new box is significantly inferior with no metal hinges.
I love it.. . I so much I got one.
Congrats! It’s an AMAZING piece
All it needs is micro adjustment without tools.
That would be the cherry on top. Wish it did
It smokes that old, boring, worn out Daytona. This is a fresh new, exciting pc.
Not an homage.
