The adapter simply upscaled the image, some TV's may have this feature built in - I think the adapter is a little expensive at $120, so maybe try it and return to amazon if you don't see the advantage.
I have a SONY 4K TV with a built in upscaler chip called 4x Reality pro which basically used A.I data to recreate the nearest pixel to upscale the picture, it does an amazing job with my Switch and PS4
Can you see any differences in between the red 4K Gamer+ and the black 4K Gamer Pro when the 4K Gamer+ are in the blue 4k mode and 4K Gamer Plus are in the highest enhancement mode or are the only differences that the 4K Gamer Plus have 3 levels of enhancement when you push the button?
When you zoomed in Mario Kart, it is clearly visible that it is not upscaling but sharpening. A lot of TVs has that option too. But thanks for sharing.
It's indeed upscaling it, I own the 4K Gamer Pro myself, and if you feed it a 1080P signal, it will upscale it to 2160P. But you can't do it without adding their "sharpening", also the 4K Gamer works better on a signal that is already or heavily processed, so to get the most out of it you basically should run it via an mClassic before. The thing about mClassic is that it only works as it "should" on source resolutions, and as most put their Switch on 1080P in the settings, but most Switch games actually are between 720P and 960P in reality (yes some Switch games are in 1080P, most Nintendos own are) it doesn't do its job the best. So solution is to buy both, and set your system to 720P. And non of the items are as magical as they claim, and the results are up to debate depending on preferences. Is the combo, or each alone really worth the money? No, not even close. But do they work, and can make a difference? Yes, absolutely.
I would agree with NWDE, the solution presented by photofast its not as good as its promoted, I own the 4k Pro Adapter anda Mcable.... Anda let me tell you its not that magical...
@@MrZeucho yup, but beliveme when I say its not that awesome... in xbox 360 and ps3 works like a charm and you can noticce the difference, also theres a feature inside the Tv called shaprness as NWDE said, and this adapters do pretty much the same.
I can't say for this adapter, but I have a mClassic and I use it with a 1440p monitor... it makes a considerable differece. The original image is not rendered at 1440p so it cannot add what was not there... but it helps with some of the aliasing and what many ppl forget is that when the TV upscales, besides making the image very blurry, it also messes up with the colors. So getting a lower resolution image and letting your TV upsacale it, just adding sharpness doesn't get anywhere close to the result that these adapters can get. The results shown on the video are very noticeable and I can say that are really representative of what I get with the mClassic, but won't get even close to that if I plug the Switch directly and just increase the sharpness.
honestly from what I'm seeing the 4k gamer + is sharpening the image, which is okay but it makes jagged edges more obvious, and in my opinion that is straying further away from improving the graphics, I'd say add an mclassic to this setup that should assist the 4k gamer + to achieve better image quality since it is sharpening a nicely processed image.

I appreciate the hustle, and being sponsored by them in this video. But the jags do not change, it's not upscaling anything. It's sharpening it. On my TV I literally set the upscaler to aggressive and it looked exactly the same. Oops.
It just sharpening. However, the people that at onetime were hooing for a dock with a GPU, well this something like this would be a more realistic solution. A chip that postprocess the image. In an alternate universe i wonder if nvidia could develop sorta of dlss post processor, so Nintendo could equipped in a dock. Imagine Nintenso selling this advanced dock to people that wanted improved image on 4k sets.
Loljajaja people saying just to raise the sharpness on the TV. obviously don't know that doing that you introduce artifacts to the image because all LCD or Oled TVs the sharpness is artificial. That's why when you calibrate a TV, most of the time, you lower the sharpness. It even tells you on the calibration to turn the sharpness down until you don't see the artifacts anymore.
They suck, we know about it. The upscaling on TVs is not for what you think it is. The upscaling features of a TV help with content that the TV can have issues displaying for whatever reason. Is not the type of upscaling you think is doing.

120 Bugs for a oversharping tool? I can do this on my 4K TV without spending money. The footage looks not good. It’s just too sharp. It’s not a real Upscale.
Pagar tanto por algo que lo único que hace es dar algo más de nitidez a costa de ver más los pixeles.... 🙁. Pero bueno, es respetable, que cada uno gaste su dinero en lo que quiera.
At the time I got all 3 items at a discount price on kickstarter on mclassic, mcable, cinema cable. Now using them on the 4k gamer pro all daisy chain & it really does show a huge difference when on a 4k tv. Money spent well on my side so listening to those that say all these items just sharpen & nothing more is false. There is a huge night & day difference when you compare it side by side with or without usage in person. I noticed some of the games I have I to set them on 720p & some on 1080p to get a better 4k results. You will tell when you see a cleaner image & everything pops out better.
Those are garbage. The cinema cable is for movies only, and is the only cable that goes up to 1080p. The gaming cable is just 720p limited. And is also an older chip than the Mclassic. Yes, the cables work, but the Mclassic is better.
This isn't going to make your games actually look any better. Trust me. The level of detail and number of pixels in the 3d models and textures are determined entirely by the game itself and the hardware you're running the game on. This upscaler might reduce that weird pixelation effect on some games, but it's not going to magically make everything look more detailed. It's really not worth it
All TVs do upscaling. But a bad job at it. They blur the image more and also lose quality. Is not just changing the sharpness, is also keeping the imige clean without distortion and it has color accuracy like the Mclassic.
can you try 4K on pokemon legends, or on Scarlet and Violet? in the end Mario Kart and Zalda have a good resolution and a good technical sector. To see how it really works, we use foot games 😂😂
