  • Another AMERICANS TRY classic is back and ready for your viewing! In this video, we try the infamous Greggs for the first time!! We try a few of the most well-known items and even compare the sausage roll to the vegan sausage roll. It is hard to believe that we have been living in England for almost 2 years now and have yet to stumble into one of these iconic stores, but alas here we are! British food has become very near and dear to our hearts, so it was quite a lot of fun to try this nationally beloved chain on camera! Hope you enjoy this one as much as we did!!
    Check out our Christmas Greggs Trials: • Christmas Greggs Trial...
    Join us and discover our new favorites... and the ones we could do without!! Did we miss any? Lots more fun content in store in the coming weeks, so stick around!
    Tell us, what kind of British food/products should we try next? What would you like us to share? What did you think of the video? Leave a comment, like, and subscribe for more!!

      Baked beans have a high nutritional value. You wanna try Colemans English mustard on steak, Sunday roast with Yorkshire pudding, fish and chips and mushy peas and curry sauce, also if you go out at night to the pub go and get a kebab. Also try marmite, Yorkshire tea made the British way and definately go and have a Indian curry you will love it.

    I went to Durham City in the North-East of England just Saturday gone, do a bit of banking, thought to myself "Oh, I wants a sausage roll", So went to bank, then went to Greggs, stood in queue and a bloke in front bought 10 of the things, totally cleared the tray out, so when it was my turn, there was none ready... I was fuming... [Insert naughty 'C' word here!]
    :D lol

  • @rikmoran3963
    @rikmoran3963 2 года назад +4

    Greggs don't make these pastries in-store, they just cook from frozen. You can buy most of the Greggs range frozen from Iceland frozen food stores. They have been doing it for about 10 years or more. It's great as you can have a hot pastry whenever you feel like it, and it's cheaper than buying from Greggs. They make a great snack in the evenings when watching TV. :) I accept no blame for any weight that people put on following this advice! :)

    Greggs hot sausage rolls used to be a lot better in the 80's - 90's. The pastry was amazing and would be slightly greasy but not too much. The meat percentage was higher too. A sprinkling of salt and you had the perfect lunchtime snack.

    Greggs sausage rolls are really great hot straight out of the oven. Both the Chicken bake and steak bake are one of my favourites also again hot out of the oven. They also have frozen varieties of them which you can bake yourself but I can't comment on those as I haven't tried them myself yet. Towards Christmas Greggs usually bring out a festive bake with chicken and sage and onion stuffing in them which are definitely worth trying out if you are in the UK then.

    Greg's is t's by no means the finest food, but for something on the go, it's cracking stuff. Much better than a burger or fried chicken. Once you've sampled one of these bad boys, they're like Pringles...Once you pop, you can't stop. I can't believe you didn't try the 'Cheese and Onion slice' - by a mile the best!

    I love Greggs sausage rolls but I couldn't eat more than a dozen at a time 🤣 (just kidding.) There's a good reason their sausage rolls are known about around the world. Their sausage meat is ground more than many other mass produced sausage rolls, so you don't get any of those 'hard bits' in them which are inedible in many other brands. Food for the Gods. 🙋‍♂

    I had a friend come up from Bristol who heard about the legendary pies of Lancashire. Holland's and Greenhalgh's. Greenhalgh's are a local chain of take away bakeries similar to Greggs but a little more expensive and much nicer (in my opinion). My friend returned happy and heavier having bought 10 pies on the first outing alone! You should do a tour of pie/pasty shops across Britain. Lancashire pie and gravy is the best but I also recommend Scottish Bridies (they're usually served with baked beans!) You won't be disappointed!

      @@AroundtheWorldandBeck Baked beans piled high on hot buttered toast, with a knob of butter melting on top and maybe even a poached egg topping the lot - though that's probably optional - is a typically British simple dish. Sadly though it seems to be a meal that our American cousins don't really "get" - I've seen too many reaction vids where they'll try to eat it with their hands, and declare it to be less than successful. I'm prepared to concede that the toast goes soft, that's why it's definitely a task for a knife and fork.

      That’s fair, sometimes the way you eat something can really mess up the experience.
      Beans are growing on us a bit, but thus far, we will still choose to order something else if there’s an option to
