I would like to buy a new flatland board but I'm a bit confused by the development of the last years. So I have to ask this: 2019 you introduced the "everlast" base claiming it's lasting longer than HPL. So why backed off again? Also the 2019 Raza board was made of bamboo with leaved out pockets filled with foam. What happened to this construction? And then there was the Isaac Thomas pro model with the urethane edge. Why did you stop having those high tech features and turned back to the simple "oldshool" design?
You can’t really go wrong with any of DB’s boards. Personally I own a proto medium and it has been easy for me to learn tricks like shov-its. However, I have also found that it’s much more difficult to do these tricks on a sloped beach where the waves are constantly washing up and receding. Just look at the descriptions db has on their website for different boards and base your choice off that. If by “skimboarding at the sea” you mean trying to ride waves I would suggest going with a different company like Exile. I own a custom ex2 hybrid shape and I love it! I’ve never owned a carbon board and I know a lot of people are very adamant about those things but personally the ex2 construction has held up great for me as a beginner 👍🏻

@@1234ud Oh yeah, as long as you have a long stretch of flat beach with a thin layer of water. The biggest factor in getting a long ride is usually how fast you can run and how well you can transition to riding the board. Keep in mind the standard proto will be stiffer and will go a bit further on those long rides than the “flex” boards. Honesty I got the 2021 flex proto medium because I liked the colors but I would still recommend it for its performance 😂 Obviously it’s up to you but really I don’t think you’ll be disappointed either way😎
