HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH I literally said myself that it probably sounds good enough to not bother buying an exhaust. After one ride, I’m right here lookin for one lol
I know how it feels to be desperate for attention. I've tried everything, too. Recently scored a cherry Toyota Corolla - 2003. Straight-piped and totally pimped it. The babes have taken note. And, quite a few dudes. Hoping to sew some wild oats. I'll keep the community posted on any success.
I love how these videos on the Ninja 400 are coming out after I just bought one. Edit: I've noticed that y'all have been hammering on that 400, but at the dealer, they told me to follow the break-in period? I am bc I want to keep it running the best for as long as I can but is there a reason y'all don't care about it or is it a "precaution"
The reason why you have to do a proper break in is because if you don't then your engine is going to consume oil and you'll have to rebuild the engine, replacing the compression rings, because the surfaces weren't mated properly. Never mind the fact that it would also kill your catalytic converter (s) because of the oil consumption into the exhaust. If your bike remained stock it would run poorly from engine codes on the cats and clogged O2 sensors etc. It would probably throw it into closed loop mode which means that it's stuck in a preset emergency fuel map that would ruin the performance of the motorcycle and it's miles per gallon.
I think it's strange how nobody puts upgraded suspension on this Ninja 400. Everybody talks about how good of a track bike it is but they always keep the stock suspension instead of one with adjustable suspension. Out of all of the upgrades the bike could benefit from suspension is number two behind upgraded tires.
You should also try a muffler (maybe the leo has a variant of this) which has a dbkiller inside. Very often, it makes the bike louder, not too loud, and better than straight piped. Which is also kinda what the leo is atm.
You do a plethora of different bikes and mods on the show. Ever think of investing in a scale to weigh the bikes and parts? See how much weight savings you get for what you add and take off?
I would like to do a lambda reading or use the OBD2 port to see how the no baffle slip-on affects the A/F ratio, if you put a cover over the stock muffler the lambda reading becomes really extreemly lean so allowing more air flow must also do something to the A/F,,,,,, i'll check and get back to you later.
Can you get a comparison of the ninja 400 and the new cfmoto 450 I heard that the cfmoto 450 is the ninja 400 killer, don't know if it's true or not. And I'm thinking about buying a ninja 400 but i want to buy a bike that's bang for the buck
Beginner bike to you race weapon for skilled rider. doubt you ever got close to bikes limits so who is the beginner the bike or the rider, hint beginner has 2 legs not 2 wheels. In the right hands on a track it humbles 600 and 1000 bikes ridden by average riders. Just say it is a bike beginners like, in the proper hands it is a race weapon that can beat 600s all day in skilled hands
With exhaust mods, after removing the catalytic converter and upgrading the headers, Id assume this would increase power. If so, do you have to have your bike tuned also?
If the exhaust system is modified you have to update the computer or else the parameters for the computer will be off which would ruin your performance and your fuel efficiency. It would also throw check engine lights.
Like the other guy said, but differently phrased. Anything more than a muffler swap requires an engine tune because the flow and backpressure changes compared to stock. Unless the manufacturer made a bike and model specific pipe which works as a stock replacement, like what Akrapovic usually does. But if you want more power you'd almost always need a new tune.
Funny that you tested db's at 5 and 10 feet. I've known people pulled over who've been tested at an inch away from the exhaust. Not to mention, the guy with the stock Ducati in this group was a few decimal points of db's lower than the modified Mt07, and the cop told him he's fine because it's a stock Ducati 😅
That's because Ducatis (or greater power bikes in general) are allowed to be louder. My cb500f is allowed to be 89dB at idle and 72dB at 4250rpm, 5dB louder and I'd get a 90€ fine over here and need to go back to a station to prove that I fixed my exhaust. My neighbors V4 was allowed to be 98dB or what not at ~4000rpm, that's a lot louder.
@@robertjbender my understanding has always been that MCs would want a louder exhaust from a stock pipe so that other vehicles know that am MC is nearby.

Ok now it's time for a video on the MV Agusta Super Veloce 1000 Serie Oro since you'll be giving one away.

No muffler and the thing turns into a harley ninja . Get a a nice slip on with an accute nozzle to get a nice higher pitched 400 roar.

In Australia its 94db
They measure it 1 metre away at a 45 degrees angle at same height as the exhaust outlet and you rev it to 4000 rpm.
my cb500f is only allowed to do 72dB at 4250rpm here in Germany, and 89dB at idle

@PrinceCopy I absolutely love it! So stable and easy to ride. I've never had riding experience before it and it's so easy

ISTUNT Modify Exhaust sound killer much louder than these exhaust. Plus a slip on is upwards $300.00.
I know you don’t like the ecu flash on the ninja 400 but could you do it anyways and give us a review and thoughts on it?
If you want your parallel twin to sound better put a Shorty exhaust on it.
You ain't lying. I had a 2 bros shorty slip on on my 650. Sounded so mean. ALL the pops n bangs on down shift decel too 🤤🤤🤤
the color of the leovince really matches the accents on the bike, nicely done

YAMMMIIIIEEEEEE!!!!
Can the heat shield be refitted with the LV is installed?
What about the Two Brothers exhaust?
Is there any performance hit or improvement when you change exhaust?
Neither. The performance effect of a slip on is negligible. This is a mod for idiots who want their bike to audibly scream for attention.
