2wheel dyno works flashed one the other day with Graves slip on!! It made 75hp at the wheel, send him the ecu to flash it but get the slip on first!!and try to get a filter it might help with 2-3 hp more!!

I feel like this is the new gold standard for sportbikes. It's nuts, and it revs to the stratosphere, like a superbike. It's 400cc, so it's not enough power (and just as importantly, not enough TORQUE) to get away from you. It's exactly the right amount of power not just for a beginner but for just about any street bike. I honestly feel like this would be a forever bike.
yea i own a r6, and a 600rr and i literally cant use them at all, the rr is fun mid range but the r6 is going jail speed before i can use it, about to be trading in for this thing

This is the bike that I’ve always wanted, and motorcycle evolution has finally delivered! I’m mad that the North American version only makes 55hp so needs a day 1 visit to the shop to get it to the full 80
I would love to import a zx25r , it revs EVEN HIGHER . And you can wind it up EVEN MORE since it’s a 250cc in-line 4 . It sounds really good too.

I think a full exhaust system with a well baffled muffler would benefit this bike so much. Get the performance gain, the sound while keeping it civil enough.

Man so amped for my delivery, was meant to come this month but will have to wait a bit longer. Lucky in Australia we're getting the 80hp version unrestricted from the get go!
I’m definitely gonna get one to go along with my W800! I love 50-80hp motorcycles. Just fast enough to have fun but not going crazy speeds like when I had my MT09 and being able to go through the gears.

@@catfunt5583 The dealer let me know it's the full power version and neither the RR or R are going to be learner approved. Apparently it's limited to only 25 units for the whole country this year and first allocation went in a day.. I got one of the last few available!

Great video. I didn’t think it would sound so amazing without the muffler. The ZX-4RR reminds me of my first bike, a 1995 ZX-6…. I miss the sound and crazy power curve ever since I got rid of it. That’s why I put a deposit on one.
it always feels good to ride a slow bike fast because your using all the gears, pushing the bike to its limit and overall just safer cuz it isn't as deadly as going down the street ripping 180+ mph

The fact that it can gain near 50% more power after the dyno tune is absolutely nuts
You also gotta remove the 3-way catalytic converter and a full system straight pipe exhaust.

The smaller the engine gets the pitch goes way higher if you're into that. Try to listen to zx25r, 250cc of four cylinders It is awesome! but personally i like deeper notes from r1 and v4's

A good rider who knows how to use this power will easily keep up with a 600 in the canyons, maybe even go past it.
I got the ZX25RR not too long ago. Traded my Ninja650 for it. Power band obviously totally different but ZX25RR is much more fun to ride and 650 was only technically a few more horses but heavier too! ZX25RR is 51bhp of fun! So sad they detuned the ZX4R for the states though. Basically, they are giving you a ZX25RR (which they didn’t bring into the country) for ZX4R money! Cheeky!

Ive wanted an rvf400 for almost 10 years now but theyre all 15k+ or dead. This might just be my forever bike. The perfect bike to enjoy on the street, enjoy the sound. And still be reasonable

Yeah a few years ago I was on my zx6r with Austin Racing exhaust in a residential area, just slowed down for some railroad tracks and gave it a little gas again to get back to speed limit at least. This old lady sitting outside motioned with her hands for me to slow it down. I just waved at her 😆 I wasn’t even going that fast but it kinda sounded like I was accelerating hard for a second. On my current GSXR 1000 R, that likely wouldn’t have happened.

Ya know how you can tell when a bike is a good, to great bike, and is going to end up being a legend, and have a cult following? The answer is simple, when every single time you throw a leg over it, and take it for a ride, you end up giggling like a little child on Christmas morning, and you don't want to quit, or get off of it like Yammie Noob. I think, especially once it's bern out a few years and theirs some good tunes and customizations available, the Kawasaki YZF 4RR is going to end up being an absolute loved and adoured classic.
They should make a Versys 400 with this engine. I like the sound of a line four, but I also like traveling long distances packing my whole house with me!
thats what almost all indonesian ZX25R owner doing (full pipe and short mufler) and yeah all hearing around 15second before see the bike
Removing the muffler sounds kinda like the old Kerkers we used to run on the CB's & K1's back in the 70's & 80's.
The megaphone was wa about 6 inches. The baffle reduced the exit to sbout 4 inches.
3 choices.
1. High Rpm short in lenth baffle.
2. Mid Range Rpm mid lenth baffle.
3. Low Rpm Long baffle.
The more back pressure the better rpm torque & hp at low rpm.
The mid provided, well, dont be surprised, best mid range power.
The high, upper rpm gain.
The difference was only in length. Not in circumference. Not a lot of sound difference. But was enough difference that power in the varios rpm region's was noticipal.
Taking the muffler off the 400 rr. Simply made it sound more like before catalytic converters.
With all the curves, catalytic convertes etc. I bet it produces more back pressure than the old kerkers i ran. As they were straight shots out after the initial down turn from the head.
Looks to me. If you want to keep, or need to keep the original due to emissions or preference. No need in spending a lot of money to have a name on the pipe.
I have noticed. None of the new pipes. Allow selecting baffling that can modify low, mid or high rpm output.
Looks like the cheapest solution is simply remove muffler.
Loud Bikes Saves Lives!
If sound is an issue. Simply get a Super Trap end piece. You can add or decrease plates for the sound or high, mid, low torque. $50-$80.
What the big new name brands charge. For simple slip on's. With no choice of tunability. Is a criminal act.
WTF happened to building your own. Or modifying something off the shelf. Kiddies nowadays seem unskilled & lack in self produced invocation.
Better to be the out crowd, self sufficient. Rather than the in crowd who is dependent upon others. But thinks it's cool because they spent a small fortune on a name. That does not allow them to control sound and or hp & torque at the rpm range they prefer to have a boost at.
It has an O2 sensor… and probably a modern ECU that’s more than capable of self adjusting

Removed the slip on Saturday on mine… honestly probably keeping it that way until something other than graves comes out… or their low mount full system comes out. Bike has ran perfectly fine without the muffler in place after 100 miles. Definitely too loud, but it adds so much to the riding experience that it’s livable for now
Wait for the M4!! best sounding exhaust on the ninjas, they have the gp style and the street slayer, but I prefer the gp, sounds really good and loud!!

Kawasaki just hit a golden recipe, perfect mini screamer that wont be lethal.
Basically my dream engine for an insane Kart project....lol This bike is insanely awesome.
Get a ZXR 400 engine. It’s also 400cc i4 but makes 65HP and can easily be tuned to 75-80HP with just bigger carbs. They were built from 1989 to 2001 but get the engine after 1995 as that one had the camshaft problem fixed.

Sounds amazing if you can get a pipe to sound just like that with reasonable decibels will be awesome.
Austin Racing is the first exhaust that would come to my mind like that. Possibly obnoxious loud but with a dB killer in it wouldn’t be that bad.

The way that thing revs in that low blip is pretty menacing, after that the tones and everything get washed out
I say it’s a beginner bike. Once they get bored of the stock power, they can flash it and keep it! Getting a second bike for a fraction of the cost. 😃
A flash will not change enough. You'll be bored again within a week.

i bought a 2023 zx25r in bali. so expensive with the import taxes, zx4r would be mad. tried an austin racing with full system exchange, was waaaay too loud. placed on a leo vince was a silencer inside because otherwise would be too silly all the time

There's 2 things I don't like about this bike 1- the price. It's priced as a track bike (which is what it is so I understand and respect it) and it's fairly low torque especially down low so I feel like commuting through the suburbs, which is what most of my riding is, would probably be a bit of a chore.

It might be stupid, but I definitely did it. Holy crap I thought I was in Maranello, Italy running a race Ferrari down the city streets. Let it eat at 15,000 rpm plus and used the quick shifter in three gears, it sounds wicked but hurt my ears and I'm used to loud sounds.

JUst bought my zx-4rr on saturday and had it delivered april 2nd. rode it 8 miles to the garage and there it sits until i can ride it. i did manage to put a brake light strobe module on before i covered it up and threw the key away. it was a super smooth ride. more so than my 650 i had before it, and like the height and positioning compared to the 400abs. im glad i got it.......def a keeper. No. im not a track guy, but i will be flashing ecu, getting a nice deep drone exhaust and an upgraded air filter. i want the power out of this bike after the 12k i dropped on it.

the approaching sound is the best from a 4 banger, that's the classic sound as its approaching, the other angles are just loudness
I know this isn’t going to happen for a variety of reasons but I want so badly for Yamaha to get involved in the mini in-line 4 battle and make a 400cc in-line 4 screamer with a 270 crank. Imagine the sound that thing would make

2 wheel DynoWorks had already done slip on air filter and tuned it 50% more power made 70 whp
