Nonsense. She is an interesting choice. She doesn't know what a 'woman' is and while I agree she is very articulate...I think it is important to know the difference between 'trans-women' and actual women. She is a Brexit supporter and her credentials end there.

Maybe Penny is not in your face like the others but she is very diplomatic which is good for international trade, she does think in a critical way, and she is not tearing down foreign leaders in ally countries. She thinks about these things. Also she is not jumping into culture wars she is focussed on the real things like NHS, civic matters, defense, trade and charity but she is not making promises she cannot keep!. She is also not ego driven, after the last PrimeMinister I hope we can steer clear of egoists. I think Labour has more to fear with her, than Kemi Badenoch who is jumping straight into culture wars.
Also after the shouting kick off in the House of Commons the other day and MPs suspended, are we over the constant shouting match in the House of Commons - do they have to shout to be heard - yes it seems relaxed but it also seems sloppy to have this go down all the time?! The general public and people out on the street don't carry on like this at the rate they do in the House of Commons. Penny seems to speak, doesn't need to raise her voice and doesn't get reactionary, but maybe people still want drama so that is why Penny does nothing for them, but I thought we had enough drama with Boris!

This 'Catherine Deneuve' vedette of The Conservative Party is one shrewd cookie. She's spot on in seeking to keep things positive and she's instantly more strategic than Johnson for when it comes to thinking ahead (i.e. what she needs to do as PM). She comes across as more urbane and yet, presentation wise, semi formal. She is seemingly more 'fun' than, say, a Truss or a May and so she's certainly going to be the most popular candidate with the electorate and this, I suspect is what will win it for her as the Conservatives like to think they know which side their bread is buttered (even though with Johnson they clearly did not). I imagine she listens well and she won't miss her cues as Johnson clearly did. Moreover, I have not heard of question marks surrounding her personal and moral integrity and this immediately and refreshingly changes the mindset dynamic in a most positive way. Just right now she appears to be the tonic and slice of lemon the Conservative party needs. I hope she proves to be a lucky Penny.

I remember Theresa May sounding pleasantly well spoken, “I say come on chaps, let’s not argue, let’s try and reach a compromise”
