@@peterwhite9261 thank you, I much preferred this place - also fewer tourists as it is very far to walk from the palace. In fact I walked 30 kms that day 😩
As always both a visual and auditory treat. Leon you possess artistic genius. However we have seen that before with your other offerings and your gorgeous house. Versailles is so very beautifully maintained, I wonder how many gardeners there are. Buckingham Palaces is, of course, much smaller and they have ten gardeners. I advise your other followers to watch your vlogs twice as it is easy to miss something the first time round. Alternatively, play again with closed eyes and listen to the music. Well, until the next LEONSDAY . . . . . . . .
@@pamelamason6372 thank you sp much - as always uplifting and kind 🤗 In Louis XIV's time 7,000 people worked in the gardens but these days there are only 48 permanent gardeners! The Trianon estate was an absolute treat - so few tourists 👏 Enjoy a wonderful weekend dear Pamela 🤗🌟🤗
Hi Leon. What a wonderfull Journey. Thank you so much for these series of Versailles. I really appriciated. Have a lovely weekend. See you next week. Xxx
@@shabbymoniquebrocante4923 thank you - I learned so much about the French history editing this series. Last night on TV3 was a great programme on Marie-Antoinette and the necklace that eventually caused her to be beheaded! You might get it on replay: Secrets d'Histoire 🙂 Super weekend to you 💖💕💖
OMG, thank you for this video. It brought back many memories from visit there. Will continue watching this series. The workmanship for every single thing is incredible. I wonder if this could be accomplished today. Best to you, Jane, Philadelphia
@@janeingram7331 thank you 🤗 I think it can be done today - if you look at the reconstruction of the Notre Dame it's amazingly close to materials and techniques used. Happy weekend Jane 🙂💖🙂
@@RuralFranceJournals Yes, I heard that today. They said Notre Dame may look new but it was rebuilt exactly as it was originally. I think they were able to accomplish that because of the generosity of donors.
@janeingram7331 they received very generous donations - can't wait for the opening concert tonight! It will be live on French tv and will even include SA soprano Pretty Yende 👏
Definitely not Versailles but more to my liking. Versailles is quite overdoing it compared to this homey palace. I loved it all, though, right down to the last petal on the beautiful gardens. Thank you.
Absolutely loved this. The music and narrations were perfect. What a beautiful place. Thank you for sharing this. ❤

With all that beautiful furniture and priceless object d'art, I can't imagine they had cats like mine for pets. 😉
@@tresfeles2784 🤣 I am sure they had cats - I know that Marie-Antoinette arrived from Austria with her little dog 🙂
