It’s great to see a Harley Dealer taking this bike seriously and putting some time into showing some of the great products for this new machine. I realize stock and supply is crap this year but so far I haven’t seen many dealers in my area do anything for this offering from Harley.

Thanks for showing the accessories, etc. Am waiting on most of these accessories which are on back order. I installed the top case mounting plate prepping for the arrival of the top case. The top case mounting plate is on sliders that have about 1/2 inch side to side movement. What’s the purpose of the side to side movement?
Well after some research, I found the answer myself. On a Pan American review RUclips video by ADV during one of the Pan-American demo events at Zakar, a Harley Davidson factory parts and accessories technician described the purpose of the side to side motion of the top case rack. The movement essentially provides a better center of gravity for the bike with a top case/luggage during cornering.
They should add some lights on their boxes behind. The big issue about adv motorcycle is around the visibility on a night road. You can compare with Harley Davidson touring motorcycle; they have lights on their trunk. I watched a Honda Africa Twin; the brake light is smaller than one on a sport motorcycle.
Nice to see the accessories that can be bought for this bike, i mean im sold already but it is definitely a good and worthwhile video to watch if your thinking of buying this beast

I live in Shasta lake ca the girl at the front desks told me they've had one of these there for four months and she has yet to see someone sit or even ask about it exept for me unreal I would love one of these to sit next to my 2005 dyna wide glide in my garage

Got the same response from the dealerships close to me. In manufacturing, they can adjust for such demand in a matter of months if needed. Hope they utilize the plant they closed in Kansas to start making these Pan Americas. It's a good thing for Harley because the BMW GS and GSA models far outsell any other motorcycle BMW makes and if Harley starts tapping into that market especially with their dealership network. That is going to be a real good thing for Harley.

Ya, just picked mine up last Thursday... can’t even get oil filters for it. Everything is back ordered. Guess I have a bone stock Pan Am until at least mid September
Bar risers straight on - no hose lengthening I like that, this bike looks like a winner to me - nice vid man👍

I also added the locking fuel cap, not necessarily to keep people from stealing my gas, but also keeps people from puttin something into your tank !

Thanks for the video, it would be really nice if you put details on the installation of the raisers. I am looking to do it on my own, and I wonder how are the screws in the raiser and if could fit another brand that is less than 2 inches...due to TFT view obstruction.

Can't go wrong with either one. If you plan to do a lot of riding in technical off-road terrain, we'd definitely recommend the soft bags.

What is the device and part number for the Garmin Zumo GPS mount to the hand guard bracket?
I bought a new to me 2021 Pan America Special with 4000km and laced wheels. I put the ultimate trekker package on it, quick shifter is still not compatible for the 2021's got a small credit for that. Bought the Vance and Hines 450 HO exhaust in black. The bike is gauntlet grey. I also purchased the sundowner seat and pillion. Quad lock phone mount with charger and vibration dampener.
Just trying to figure out which highway pegs now...🤔🤔😂

I like it, but the tank bag is not my style. The stock shifter peg is hard on the big toe, I wonder if the 80 grit is better...
The 80GRIT is somewhat better but not as comfortable as some others.

Du you have the Harley parts number for the liners/bags of the aluminium side cases?
On accessories, do you know if there are or will be crash bars that extend further out to help in picking this heavy bike up when it is laid down on an off-road trail? On a Harley touring chassis, you have the extension of crash bars that make it easy to pick the bike up.

Solid video… question: I just trying to finish the installation of my top case, but is not clear on the instructions if you can install the top case bracket and the passenger handle, on my bike doesn’t fit after you install the base you cant install back the handler… please help me out… looks ugly with the screw holes…

@@grandtetonharley-davidson8690 Nice. My Moto Guzzi came with those standard. not bad bit of kit. more importantly, accessories and replacement parts can be gotten from SW Motech. Im surprised how many people have bikes with these bags think they can only get the bits from the bike manufacturer.

Just picked my PAS up : Out the door with most of the Upgrades reviewed $26,825. $1600 cheaper then the BMW 1250 GSA I was looking at comparably outfitted and to be truthful the BMW dealership treated me like I was idiot for wanting a low suspension option bc I'm vertically challenged in the AV world. HD salesman focused on the adaptability of the ARH. Test road both, they really are very similar riding bikes.

hi maybe you can help me fix my problem: pan america special 2021. from Wisconsin to Costa Rica! no HD dealer here but HD lovers!! my keyfob is not working changed battery and no response, need to start using pin codes. what do i need to do to match the keyfob with the bike??
It looks nice and all. I don't doubt the performance on it. There are pros and cons for any adv bike out there. But for me, I think the cost of ownership is a little on the high end. I might lean on a Suzuki v-Strom or Yamaha Tenure just for the intended use that I will be more likely to fall when off-roading as I am not as proficient as other riders. I will be cringe if it gets scuffed up. I feel like owning this will prevent me from utilizing its potential use and just use it for on the road use which I don't want it to because I already have a motorcycle for that. What do others think?

hi does it come with an on board air compreesor? and a camel fuel can installation as it gives only 100kms per gallon
An air compressor can be purchased separately as well as external fuel carriers.

Yes. Top speed is limited to 110 mph with the Michelin Anakee Wild tires when installed at a dealership.

Ordered my pan 3 weeks ago did not order the riser for the bars. Looks like i have to remove the tank for install. Is it really necessary?. I found aftermarket pegs that are adjustable for angle would they be better than the fixed angle? They Come with 17 studs in gold stainless black pegs.
my adaptive ride height is intermittent. sometimes it works , most of the time it doesn't. its at the dealer and they seem to be scratching their head. any advice would be greatly appreciated
Tough to diagnose it without seeing the motorcycle. Your dealership has some great resources to get it figured out.

This was kickass! Got some great ideas from your video. Im a tall guy 6’7 so i am used to riding an Africa Twin or BMW GSA; you think that “Tallboy” seat will get me as high as those bikes? Also, is there a way to possibly lower the foot pegs? The bar riser is a must.And I really like how you mounted the GPS. Great idea. Thanks!!
Our owner is 6'6" with a 36 inch inseam and this Pan America was setup for him. The stock seat height is 32 inches and the Tall Boy seat adds an inch for a total height of 33 inches. It's a comfortable setup for our owner who logs thousands of miles a year. The Africa Twin is 34.3 inches and the GSA is 35 inches or 35.8 inches based on setup.

What gets me is the relative low price for the bike which is not that low then one HAS too upgrade the bike and is 25,000 euros less in the bank.

Make sure you have your local dealer order parts with your VIN#. H-D is prioritizing shipments for individuals with motorcycles but the orders need to be done with your VIN#.

Metric. We don't think the risers will interfere with the view of the bottom of the TFT based on your height but recommend you sit on one at your local dealership to make sure.

How do you power the Garmin or smartphone that many of an adventure rider mounts on their handlebar? I understand there is no USB power outlet in the front for such.
The Garmin is wired directly to the battery. There is a USB-C port to the right side of the Infotainment system.

According to the owner's manual (page 103), the USB-C port should be operational when the motorcycle is in accessory mode or in the on position. There have been reports of the port only working while in accessory mode and we understand Harley-Davidson is working on a flash update to the software to make the port operational while the motorcycle is in the on position.

Parts prices have fluctuated since this bike was accessorized. Current parts prices can be found on Harley-Davidson's website (www.harley-davidson.com/us/en/shop/c/motorcycle-parts).

No. It's still competitive with other adventure motorcycles in the market that also have lots of accessories available.

I counted $5,759 in accessories shown in the video, add about another $2k for installation. Verdict: It isn't cheap after all.

Just watched a video with a guy fitting the rack for the side panniers where he had to take a hammer to the lefthand side mounting frame as the holes were out by a fair bit, did you have this issue, or was it just bad luck on his part

I know this question is irrelevant, but I started riding 3 years ago and I also have a long beard. How do you make it not look like a birds nest after riding in full face helmet?

Thanks for the video! On my test ride I took out a special. I'm used to a heritage softail with big boards and large front an back shifters. My legs are forward on the softail annd aim back on the Pan Am. I could barely get my trail boot between the shifter and the peg. Is there a longer shifter?
The angle of the OEM shifter can be adjusted. Currently, Harley-Davidson doesn't offer a longer shifter but there are a few in the works on the aftermarket.

We haven't tried that particular mount yet. Let us know if you happen to give it a try and how it works out for you.
